Zeraxul nearly choked on his coffee with Thanatos' last question. He had used this room without knowing what it was? That...seemed unusual. Composing himself quickly, he replied.

"I'm honestly surprised you didn't know. This is a training grounds for usage of the Force...where we're allowed to come here and practice our control over it....and here, I figured that's exactly why you would have chosen this particular room."

He then shook his head as he took another sip. He then waited a bit to allow time for response before speaking again.

"How are you feeling about this mission tomorrow? I myself am anticipating some....excitement, for a change. I don't know about you, but I feel it'll be nice to get out and have some...well, fun...for a bit."

He smirked, in a little bit of an unnerving way. It had been too long since he had gotten out in the universe to wreak a little havoc. Of course, it would be directed....but oh, he shall have his fun, indeed. Or so he expected.

When Zeraxul half choked on his coffee, Thanatos stifled a chuckle. If Zeraxul caught him laughing at him, he would have attacked him and Thanatos did not feel like exhausting himself at this moment. There would be time for such pleasantries later.

He thought about what Zeraxul told him though on the matter of this room being a place for training with the force. He said, " Hmm, I only chose this place because it was quiet, I had no idea." At that he looked at the various equipment again, the same equipment he dumped on the floor.

Zeraxul's next question made told Thanatos that Zeraxul must be incredibly bored of this place. And why not, hanging around jedi all day would be very boring. Seeing some of them already, sitting in meditative forms made him drool in boredom.

He replied, "The only reason why I wanted to come was because the planet we are venturing to possibly contains untold secrets. After all some scholars could honestly say that this is were it began. The rift between what is considered the categorization of both the Jedi and the Sith. Indeed this is possibly the place were your and mine titles called the Sith originated from. The Jedi that we are rescuing? Truthfully I could care less for."

He let Zeraxul think about the information he just provided, surely his fellow sith could appreciate the power to be gained at such a place.

As Zeraxul listened to the response, he nodded. He halfway expected such a response from Thanatos. It made sense...he himself would not turn down knowledge of any sort that might be found. Who knows what objects of power might be found on a planet such as the one they headed to? Most people avoided it, to Zeraxul's understanding. While he himself much preferred to gain power by way of improving his skills with the blade, he knew that knowledge of the Force was also a pathway to power. He would not turn down a chance to improve either. Perhaps they would even run across holocrons here, if they were lucky. What power could be gained from tapping into their knowledge....the mere thought sent a shiver of excitement up Zeraxul's spine.

"Indeed...this is all very true. I personally could care less about this jedi myself...there are other reasons we both have to go on this mission. It just so happens that helping to find this guy is parallel to our own actual goals, it seems."

He then took another sip of his coffee, looking thoughtful. He just had a thought cross his mind...what reason would these outcasts have to take in a pair of sith such as he and Thanatos? They were both rather strong in the Dark Side...yet interestingly, the outcasts seemed to embrace both sides of the Force. Was, perhaps, their goal to go back to the old ways, the days before the splitting of factions? The way it was when all users of the Force were united, only one side, as opposed to two constantly warring factions? An intriguing thought...and, surprising even himself, Zeraxul found himself wondering if more power could be obtained by following their example, and combining the two sides of the Force. He supposed that, perhaps, this was the reason he had stuck around as long as he had...perhaps he was waiting to see if, indeed, the teachings of the outcasts could give him a path to greater power in the end.

Thanatos mulled over the parallel goals bit. He found it strange that the fellow jedi of this place would ask him to accompany him on this mission. Perhaps Zeraxul would know why, but alas he did not have the time.

He said, "Yes, well the thought that we are rescuing a jedi there bears ill news. For this tells me that whoever has him prisoner, takes residence there. I have a sneaking suspicion that this will be a repeat of Korriban."

With that he gathered his garments and said, "Due to my unexpected mistake, I have tired myself. I think my work here will have to suffice for now."

At that he left the room to go back to his quarters, next time he would look for a laboratory.

Zeraxul chuckled a little at Thanatos' words.

"If it is like Korriban, it just means that we had best be prepared. We will find a way...and will have to keep our eyes out for opportunities as we do so."

He nodded slightly in response to Thanatos heading to bed. He himself was not really anxious to go watch the scan's progress bar as of right now, so he figured he'd stay here for the time being.

"Very well then. I shall see you on the morrow."

He then turned, looking at the training room as it was, not really paying attention to Thanatos after that point. Perhaps it would do well to practice in the Force while he was here. Looking at the gear Thanatos had moved, he concentrated and began lifting it all in the air. He wasn't sure where it all went, and he didn't really care...instead he opted to just place them, one at a time, where he thought they should go. He concentrated, making sure none of the objects ended up falling as he moved another where he thought it belonged. Once he was done, he chuckled and shook his head. Not too hard at all...not like what he was going to try next. Or rather, what he was going to do was somewhat complicated to those who didn't know how to fully access the powers of Force lightning.

He then attempted to find something that would work for a target. It took him a bit, but he managed to find something that looked like it was either meant for what he had in mind...or else easily replaced. It was kinda large and metallic, fairly lumpy in shape...though he wasn't sure what it was really meant for. Perhaps it had simply seen a little too much use. One of the two. No matter...he then proceeded to launch it in the air with the Force, watching its trajectory as it crossed the room. As he watched, he focused the Force into the palm of his hand, the hand quickly crackling with Force lightning. He focused even further, and the lightning then proceeded to condense into a small orb, floating about an inch above his hand. It still crackled with power...though every bit of this energy was focused into this small orb. Figuring where the lump of metal would end up, he thrust this orb in that direction, letting out a satisfied chuckle as the orb found its mark, clung to it via electromagnetic energy....and then detonated with a burst of intesnse lightning. It was like forming a grenade purely from the Force, almost. The lumpy metal object appeared to be in a few peices now, and falling from the top of the room. While it hadn't hit the floor in one piece, the pieces had been flung upwards from the explosion.

Zeraxul then looked around for a few more of these objects. While this was far from the only advanced thing he could do with Force lightning, it was still a useful skill to practice, especially considering the fact it needed to be aimed properly to be fully useful...

After causing a few more detonations, Zeraxul sighed. He oughta get back to his ship and check on things, as much as he despised the idea of wathing the progress of the scan. He then turned on his heel, leaving the room and heading to the hangar...taking his coffee with him, of course. No use in letting close to half a pot go to waste.

As he entered the hallway, he began wondering just what sort of thing he might end up encountering during this mission. He let his thoughts mull over these possibilities he thought of, both the nice and the unfriendly ideas. Thanatos was right about the possibility of knowledge and/or power being found, of course...but then again, it was also possible that they might find some who found such things before them, and weren't quite as friendly. Ah, well...best be prepared for all possibilities.

Once he got back in his ship, he sat down in the piloting chair and watched the screen with a bored expression, pouring himself another cup of coffee and sipping on it. It looked like a long night, indeed....

One of the newest, and least trained Outcasts found himself in the Force training room. He'd been told that this was the place he should come if he wanted to train and unlock whatever latent force abilities he might posses. While he was still a little skeptical that he could accomplish anything, after seeing what the others could do he was more than willing to try his best to learn anything he could. He was also eager to start learning how to use one of those fascinating lightsabers, but was told that he needed to at least understand the basics of the force itself and learn a few abilities to even start training with the stun-sabers. Tetroneaque looked around the room, not sure what he should be doing. The Kit'aru took some time to take in his surroundings while he waited.

Thantos after some deep meditation had now felt confident enough to try out this new power that Zeraxul had unlocked. It was time to maximize its full killing capabilty. He walked into the force training area and noticed the furry creature. Unless it spoke to him, Thanatos chose to avoid it. Sitting down next to one of the meditation areas. Deep in concentration.

Hoshi walked quietly into the room. Seeing Tetro there she walked up to him. "Hi" she said just loud enough for him to hear as not to disturb anyone else.

Thanatos now had found his concentration. He began moving the molecules with the force redistributing and enhancing, he continued to do this until he found the right formula. For his effort, a spark hit the air. Thantos smiled, he had through the use of his new-founded knowledge grasped the foundation of Pyrokinesis. He tried it again, though this time doing it a lot faster now that he knew the way and not only made a spark, but created a flame. A floating flame was now in the air. After some time of deep understading, he then began to make the flame dance, and in time surrounding himself with other balls of fire. Then he quickly dissipated the thermal energy, leaving only the radiated heat were the fire had been.

Thanatos now pleasantly pleased decided to try out the object of knowing Pyrokinesis. He rose to his feet and walked to one of the many training targets/dummys in the grounds. Then he again made flame in front of him only this time making it more concentrated, condensing the power, making the pressure build...

Tetroneaque nearly jumped when Hoshi greeted him, as he'd been paying attention to Thanatos and wondering what the fellow was doing. It wasn't often than anyone could sneak up on him, but he quickly calmed himself when he saw it was Hoshi. "Oh, hello Hoshi. You startled me a bit." Tetroneaque said with a little nod of his head, keeping his voice low so as not to disturb Thanatos.

"I was told this was the room to come to for training in the Force, and that I needed to know some basics in that before I could start training with a stunsaber. Only problem is that I don't know what I should be doing..." His ears drooped a little at that admission. He felt like he should know at least the basics, but he didn't even know what those might be.

He eyed Thanatos out of the corner of his eye, noticing the fellow creating flames in the air. He can create fire with his mind? Oh dear... just one more reason to avoid getting any more on his bad side. he thought to himself with what passed as a grimace among his kind.

Thanatos built the pressure until, like a blaster it simply needed to go. The combustion shot at the training dummy, leaving a charred hole where his blast ended entered and left. However, the blast kept going still, hitting the ground and making a 3-foot wide crater. in the ground. The droid servants would have a nice time repairing the ground later. Thanatos chuckled as his expectations were met. He then concentrated on the rest of what was left of the dummy and incinerated it in seconds, until there was only ashes. Excellent, this new-found power would come in handy in his adventures ahead.

" I'm sorry Tetro. I did not mean to startle you." Hoshi said not looking up at him. "I can help you a little if you want. Though I am sure one of the M...Masters might be more helpful." She saw what Thantos did and almost took a step back. "I believe experiencing the force is the best way to start. How I started here was to meditate and feel the force. The force its-self is hard to describe but for me it was a warmth."
PostPosted: Tue Apr 10, 2012 12:25 am

As Thanatos' heard Hoshi's words he frowned at annoyance. He said for them to hear,"First, one would venture to whether or not you can use the force. Just because you have the natural use telepathy means nothing. There are other races who have the same natural ability that you do, however not all of them can feel and use the force. Meditation is not the start of how to use it. You must first find the feel to the power..." Thanatos stopped. He had, is some small way began to teach the creature. Why? Thanatos had no idea. He stood there, silently berating himself. Surely the creature did not want to hear what he had to say anyways. The being's aura was of the light side, therefore Thanatos could not teach him his way of the force. Although, feeling the force was a different matter entirely....
