Daniel read the letter, frowning. "Damn it all! That's three people now, and there doesn't seem to be any real connection between them! And how does anyone even plan to find them? How many more people are going to go missing before someone gets to the bottom of this?"
Daniel sat in a chair, angry at the world. He still felt responsible for Kaylynn's disappearance, and felt like he had to do something to help.
Then it hit him.
He would find them.

Kayla shook her head, thinking of her sister. Tears swelled up in her eyes. This was insane. She looked over at Daniel, seeing the look on his face. She raised her eyebrow at him
"what are you thinking?"
She asked, noticing something odd about his expression.

"I'm thinking..." he said softly, "That I should find them." He looked up at Kayla, waiting for any rebuttle, any criticism or talk of him being insane in some way. It was an insane plan and he knew it, and it would likely blow up in his face. But it had happened before at Hogwarts; students taking action when adults couldn't. Could this be one of those times? Not likely, he remarked to himself.

Kayla was silent for a minute, and then looked up at him
"Then I'm comming with you"
She said at last. She knew inside her that it was right.. that that was what she had to do. Find her sister, and the others. She would go with Daniel and search for them, before it was to late.

Daniel blinked. He'd expected rebuttal, but... Kayla trying to help him? He thought about it, then nodded.
"Yes; I suppose the more people we have, the better off we'll be to get through this quickly. In fact, we should try asking other people, like my cousin, Clarissa, or some of the other students."

She nodded her head
"Yea, thats probably the best thing we can do."
She sighed. Where would they start? would they have to just.. leave school? Well, it didn't really matter anyways. The only thing that matters is getting the others back.

"I don't know. Maybe... we can compile evidence, root out some connection between the captured people. And maybe seek out suspicious people, see who could have seen any disappearances, and who did it..." Daniel shrugged. He didn't really know what to do right now...

"Yea I suppose..."
She said at last. She looked over at him and Smiled, she was glad someone felt the same way as her.

Daniel gave a slight smile back. "All right. So, we have Kaylynn, a mu---" He was about to say mudblood, but caught himself. "A muggle-born second year, and... er, the other two." He didn't know much about the other two.

"Celeste Branch, a first year Slytherin, she's my sister, and Ria.. A first year Hufflepuff"
She recited.

Kaze stands up from his bed and he walks over to the gloomy window. As he stares outside he thinks about his home and how he misses his family so much.

Daniel nodded. "All right. It seems like whoever's doing this is targeting younger students. However, that's all we really have right now..." He sighed. This was hard to do with so little information. He pulled out his wand, floating a vase over a first-year's head, and let it drop.

Kayla turned to him and raised his eyebrow
"Killing the first years yourself isn't going to help any Daniel"
She said, trying to be serious, but there was a hint of laughter in her voice.

Daniel smiled playfully. "Oh?" He pointed his wand at his audience of cats. "Wingardium Leviosa!" Three of the cats flew into the air, spinning around at high speed, when suddenly the magic failed. One cat hit the window, one hit a fourth-year boy, and one landed on Daniel's head.
"...Ahhrg! Ow! Gettitoff!" He promptly fell over, taking the cat and chair with him.

Kayla's eyes widened and she stepped back, watching The cats go flying.
"Augh, what just happened there?!"
She asked once all the cats were gone... sort of anyways. She could still feel their green eyes watching her and Daniel.
