"I was going to ask if you had a moment to speak, so I could share something I read with you but I do not wish to interrupt. Besides .. Alan was here first, yes?" she asked, looking wide-eyed between them both.

"Alright. Have you heard of a flame that casts light only for the holder of the flame?" she asked directly, walking by his side through the woods.

Jade walked farther then she thought she had. Finding a small bed of water a lake or a pond witha rock formation sticking out just big enough to sit on. Seeing a great opertunity to practice her singing and some new moves she jumped up on the rock and sat down with one leg dangeling off and swing slightly while the other was bent enough so she could rest her right arm on it. Putting her left hand behind her she shifted to where her weight was all on that one hand before taking a small breath and started singing, softly at first making sure she hit the notes rights. Once she felt more confident her volume increased and her voice sounded more beautiful like the swirling colors in a glacier.
While she was singing she lifted her right hand and held out a finger making water raise and move into diffrent patters before freezing it making a dragon symbol she had once seen in Sengi's home.

"No matter the conditions, the flame will cast light only for the holder, not anyone else. In a dark room, if one wishes to be .. discrete .. they can use this flame to see what is in the room to navigate or take wheat they like without notice. It has earned the name Thief Flame as it is often used by those whom perform dishonest deeds." she said softly, almost gleefully though there was the tone of disapproving as she mentioned the thievery associated with this sort of flame.

"I read of this last night and it was so exciting to me, I could not wait to tell someone else! If you like, I can teach you how to conjure it. For now, I can simply show you." she said cheerfully, holding out her hand. A small black flame appeared in her hand, which would look like nothing special to him, other than it was clearly a flame that was pitch black. If he were to wave his hand over it, he would feel the heat from the flame, it would even burn if he touched it for too long. "Even now it is brighter for me!"

No that's alright.* Ali smiled at her as she showed him, remarkable that she could pick up things from books and instantly know how to do it by heart.* I use night vision goggles myself, less energy consuming.

She smiled and bobbed her head. "What if you have none of the night vision goggles at your disposal? What will you do then?" she asked with a smile, genuinely wanting to know, always curious.

alan whatched for amoment after the girl had stopped singing and then he got an idea.alan was still young and in many ways immature therfore pranks where a way of amussing himself.he focused for a moment and then discovering that his enexperience in this area prevented him from doing the desired action silently he closed his eyes,let himself be obsorbed by the elements and quietly he said"adurn"and a large crater formed in the water beneath the girl and the the water rushed back up forming the maw of a dragon with a diameter of ten feet and shot up around and past the girl and up into the air.the result would most likly leave her soakin wet.the problem though was that the word adurna ment water but since alan didnt know the other words required for the spell to be preformed properly so the end result was the water bending down and then shooting toward alan.
"uh-oh"
the water kocked alan off the branch and he fell to the ground.when the water finaly deceased he spurted up more water from his mouth and laughed uncontrolably.
