follower00 .. lets kill all children right now because they may become george bush? xd you dont know soemthing is bad or right til youre there, you cant just anticipate. rolleyes Of course we shouldn't kill all children. I didn't say anything even remotely like that. Just that it would matter a hell of a lot less if Bush were killed when he were a kid because he wasn't as important back then. People build importance as they grow, you know, building reputation and acquaintances and whatnot with their life... Which wouldn't be there, and thus fewer would grieve, including the child, were it to be killed before it gains those things.

In my country... Philippines preferably, abortion is "illegal" (if there is a superlative form of illegal.... very illegal) well that's the word I think...
In 1930 the president makes a law that abortion is illegal.. and remains effective today.. I would say that abortion must be illegal because teenagers today are agreesive in terms of blah.. blah.. you know... they must know that a child is God's gift and when it is given it must be cared and be loved by the persons who made them... I think we all know them... we must care for life... because let's put it in ourselves or I'll ask you a question... if your parent decides to abort you, would you agree about it??
ask yourself... because me.. I would say no to abortion...

I'm very pro-choice; it's the woman's choice, and that all there is to it. She's the one who'd have to carry around a baby (in one form or another) for 9 months, which can lead to some serious complications.
Giving birth is incredibly painful, this is one of the reasons that I intend to not actually have children of my own (If I get to the stage where I can care for a child and want one, I shall adopt. I don't get the whole 'I want a little bit of meeee'... oook, off topic.). I don't care that people say that it's a wonderful experience; the screams say enough for me to never want to go through that.
I think that if the woman is in a relationship and it is their baby too, then they should ask their opinion, but ultimately it is their decision and no one else's, and the partner should accept that.
So, anyway, I think it should be legal 3nodding

Well, in my country, Malaysia, it's okay to have an abortion if it endangers the mother's life. For an instance, if she has breast cancer or cancer in the womb. It is also permissible to have an abortion if she is a victim of rape or incest.
In my opinion, it's best to do abortion before the 120th day it was conceived. Because according to my religion, God give life (a soul) into the fetus after the 120th day. So I think it's just like ridding extra tissues in your womb. But hey that's just me trying to reason out a way if I do get pregnant.
What I don't get is how can women dump their babies in the dumps or wherever after giving birth.. These kind of mothers should just have done abortion in the first place.

I am 100 percent against abortion. We are talking about a human here. Now ive read other peoples thoughts about how it is overpopulating the world, and how in most cases the mom is a teenage girl. For these cases use birth control or if you cant quit having sex. If a teenager gets pregnant she can have the baby and put it up for adoption. In the case of rape, it is hard for the woman to carry the baby, but it is still a living thing in her stomach. I believe that if you have an abortion you are killing a living thing. This said abortion is very wrong in my eyes.

Why do we deserve more than those that aren't doing the harming? That wouldn't even be conscious of it if they did? Should people be rewarded just because they have the intelligence to kill everything in their path? The opposable thumbs and the brain are the only reasons we're above other species. We don't have hard shells or tough skin or natural camouflage. If it weren't for the thumbs and the heads we'd have died out a long time ago. Edit: Please answer these questions with something other than "God designated us as the greater species" or anything coming from that. If we were supposed to be "protectors of the earth and its creatures", we're doing a bloody awful job of it.

that is a personal choice.it should never be taken away.i personally think it is wrong for me thats why i had a son when i was young even though my dad pushed for an abortion.i ended up having a beautiful bi racial son who is my life.but that was my choice.but i would never condemn anyone if they chose different.

Ok, i have run through this situation with my debate teacher multiple times, and I believe I have a rebuttle...
Did you know that about five weeks after getting pregnant, the baby forms a heart? It has a heartbeat after just 5 weeks, which is usually about the same time a woman finds out she may be pregnant after missing her period.
A heartbeat. Doesnt that make it alive? Doesnt that mean that it can feel, that if the heart stops beating, it will die?
How does that feel, do you think. Being brought into the world, a mere heartbeat, and as sudden as you are brought into exsistance, you are snuffed out, just like a candle would be having been lit for the first time.
I feel like abortion is just a word to disguise the horrible truth. The real word used to describe the act of killing. Murder.
So, do I feel like murder is right? No, not at all...
Be it a heart beat, or an average joe walking down the street.
Abortion is not right, not smart, and it should be illegal.

whether it should be legal or illegal is not the problem for us to decide; it is not even the mother's decision.
I actually think all arguments on abortion is idiotic, and here is why:
1) God has the right to decide who shall die and who shall live.
2) It is considered two murders when you kill a pregnant woman.
3) Those who were raped did not decide to have a child.
4) If there's overpopulation, why is it that there are still those willing to adopt?
5) The truth is, each country has their way of dealing with abortion. And for the US, we're idiots. We are too busy dealing with other countries' problems that we are not dealing with ours first. Abortion is becoming the only option for those girls who are getting pregnant early. It is an excuse for them to have sex and for it not to be wrong. I am of the female gender, and I do not care about genders, but if it was my fault getting pregnant, I would rather suffer and die than to live knowing I took a life. What if you were supposed to be aborted? What if you were supposed to be thrown away into a trash can? Ask yourself that.

Brilliant Insanity I find it terribly tragic to end a life, but a lot of these abortions are from teen mothers. They most likely didn't ask for this. They have their whole lives ahead of them, and having a baby would end that. So yes, I think it should be legal. yes but for most of them they did ask for ebing ******** even though they knew they could get pregnant. I dont value life but an infant i make an exseption for. even if she puts it up for adoption the pain of child birth she should have to go through...she gambled and lsot she reaps what she sows
