 Sea walked out into the battlefield. One win and one loss under her belt. This time, her Paras, Mushy, was inside his Pokeball. She tossed his ball out into the center of the field, and he called his name into the sky. He had many scars that would take a good long time to heal, but he couldn't stay from the battle for very long. Sea smiled down at Mushy. She was so proud. "Okay, Mushy! Let's walk away from this battle with pride, no matter what the outcome!" Mushy nodded. He was totally ready!

After the last battle win, Popai was determined to keep that streak. He reached into his pocket and grabbed a Pokeball. He threw it out, and out came the first Pokemon he ever had. Curse seemed very determined to get his win. "I believe in you, and if you don't win, I'll still be proud!" Popai smiled happily.

"Let's start off strong, Mushy!" Sea shouted. Mushy nodded. Curse was his very first battle, and his first win. They knew each other well enough to see their moves, but Mushy had one new move that Curse didn't know. "Mushy! Use your Swords Dance!" Mushy danced like he was a maniac! Slicing claws aimed right at Curse... -3 HP Current HP 34/34

"Not swords dance!" Yelled Popai. "Hurry and dodge it!" Curse easily floated away, but one of the claws got him on the side. Curse screeched softly and then glared evilly. This was the perfect time... "Curse! Use Glare!" Popai said. HP: 27/30 1 Damage

The Glare barely affected Mushy at all. He learned Curse's tricks, and he knew not to be afraid. "Does that Gastly have the nerve to glare at you, Mushy?" Sea called out. Mushy nodded, and Sea couldn't resist a grin. "Then let's give him something to glare at. Use Flash!" Mushy focused his energy into his mushrooms, ready to unleash a burningly bright light... -6 HP Current HP 33/34

Before he got to close his gigantic eyes, the flash blinded him badly. Gastly shrieked angrily. "That was rude of them to say that." Popai said, frowning. He didn't even realize that Curse was blinded until the loud shriek. "Oops! Curse, get them back with... Hypnosis!" Popai shouted. HP: 21/30 2 Damage

The hypnosis made Mushy flinch a little, and he bacame a bit dizzy, but it was nothing too serious. Sea yawned a bit before realizing what she was doing. "Man. I am not falling asleep again!" Mushy shook himself back to earth. "Use your Bullet Seed!" Mushy shook his mushrooms, sending seeds flying toward Curse. -1 HP Current HP 31/34

"Oh, no. Not again. Dodge, Curse!" Popai shouted. Curse did as ordered and dodged many of them. He was hit by a few small seeds thought, nothing dangerous. "Let's do it, Curse! Use Dream Eater while he's still tired!" Popai said. HP: 20/30 0 Damage. crying

The dream eater had absolutly no effect, now that Mushy was wide awake. "Yes!" Sea shouted. Mushy didn't celebrate. He knew that things could still go either way. Instead he waited patiently for his next order. "Use X-Scissor!" Sea shouted. Man, she must like that move, Mushy thought as he crossed his front claws, ready for the attack... -2 HP Current HP 31/34

"Darn, I should have known better than to use that." Popai thought. Before he knew it, Mushy was already ready to attack. Luckily, Curse knew the attack well, for it has been used many times before. Gastly dodged it, not fully, but it didn't hurt much. "Ack, we're behind. The chances of winning are slim, but possible!" Popai shouted. Gastly didn't wait for the attack, he went ahead with Shadow Punch. He shape shifted into a fist and prepared to attack Mushy. HP: 18/30 3 Damage

The fist grazed Mushy, nearly taking off one of his mushrooms. "Whew, that was close." Sea sighed. The attack had been much stronger the last time they fought Curse. "We can do this, Mushy!" Sea shouted in ecouragement. "Use Sweet Scent!" Mushy shook his body, and little pink flakes filled the air....."Hm. Smells like strawberries." -1 HP Current HP 28/34

"Mmmm!" Popai said. The scent smelled like Strawberries, Sugar, and Whipped Cream, the way his Grandma used to make it. Curse, on the other hand, was addicted to it. It didn't hurt him, but it lead him to a wall and he bounced off, shaking his head roughly. "We're set!" Popai said. "Curse, use Night Shade!" He shouted. This time, Curse vanished with a spot of glowing purple. When he came out, there was an illusion of SDL's mother. She didn't look very scary, but it definitely will bring up some chills. 17/30 5 Damage

"NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!" Sea screamed. Mushy stood, frozen in fear. Why did his trainer scream so? Suddenly, out of the purple vision, Curse flew out, ramming into the confused Paras. "Mommy-I mean, Mushy!" Sea shouted, watching her Pokemon fly through the air. "Are you okay?" Mushy nodded, still frightened at whatever made his trainer so crazed. "That was a dirty trick!" Sea shouted at Popai. "Make 'em pay with Giga Drain, Mushy!" Mushy shot two glowing vines out of the mushrooms on his back, and they flew through the air towards Curse... -3 HP Current HP 23/34

"Gahhahahaha!" Popai snorted, laughing. He couldn't believe how scary the illusion was. He couldn't catch his breath until the vines were sucking the energy out of Curse. Curse panicked. "No! Don't panic! Try your best!" Popai shouted. Curse bite the vines, and the vines were cut. "Yes!" Popai shouted. Curse was injured, but not incredibly. "That was wicked! Let's try Lick, this time!" Popai yelled. HP: 14/30 6 Damage.

"Ewww...not again. It took forever to get all the spit off of you the first time..." Sea sighed as Mushy took a rough licking....Literally. Mushy sat there, mumbling his anger, covered in Gastly spit. Yuck, he thought. "Grr....Quit licking my Paras! Use cut attack!" Mushy jumped, bringing his slicing claws forward... -4 HP Current HP 17/34
