I'm a Zutara fan and I don't really care for Kataang, but right now (it may change in season 3) I'd have to say that Kataang is more canon than Zutara.

Which neither are actually canon since it's a bit unclear whether or not Katara likes Aang back (plus the whole "let her go" thing at the end of the season 2 finale) and since Zuko and Katara kinda hate each other at the moment, but yeah.

EDIT: Now that Season 3's come, Kataang is canon. Period. I don't care much for Kataang, but I'm not gonna take shipping s**t seriously and let it ruin the series for me.

Oh, and from what I hear, it's going to wind up Kataang, Aang has obviousely liked Katara since the start of the show, and Katara doesn't like Zuko (They're enemies! I mean, would you like a guy who tried to kill you and people you care about, hot or not? Yeah, I don't think so.) Zutara was made by the fandom. Kataang is Canon. I mean, Zuko and Katara are two years apart, which is ok to you, but for some reason Kataang is wrong because they're two years apart? stare Also, Aang pretty much confessed his love, and Katara seemed to return the feelings in the episode "Serpent's Path", or has your avid zutara lovingness blocked that from your brain?

Personaly, I think the whole "enemies falling for each other" and "Opposites attract" thing is increadibly over played in almost every series on the planet, in books, and in role plays. It's no longer a creative, interesting plot, but a stupid, cheap way to try and make a story more interesting and I hate it! Having role played alot and well long before becoming an Avatard, and it always bugged me that whenever I joined a role play, people seemed to pair up enemy with enemy in order to make it interesting and leaving me trying to make a seriouse role play with realistic coupling and events.

Sorry if I seem mean, but I'm almost always surrounded by Zutara shippers, but...well...yeah....
