Yes.
My parents made me go with them to see Peter Gabriel (who was good) and Sting (who sucked).
I've seen Nightwish once and Mindless Self Indulgence four times. I'm going to see Dir en grey (actually, it's a Deftones show but I'm only going for Diru xD) on June 8.
I don't think being up front is loud. It's more painful, especially if your against the barricade thingy and have 100+ people shoving you into it. gonk

There was a gate type thing up there, but I wasn't pushed against it, I just leaned on it sometimes. I dunno, maybe it was just a loud concert because my ears were ringing the next day, which usually doesn't happen.

The only concert I've ever been to was a show at a local coffee place where a lot of bands play. I saw a jug band. My god, was it fun. http://www.wahooband.com/

I love concerts. 4laugh
I've seen...
(* means I went specifically to see them)
Fall Out Boy x2 (soon to be x3)**(*) The Hush Sound x2 October Fall x2* The Academy Is... (soon to be x2)*(*) From First To Last* The All-American Rejects Tool* Isis Gatsby's American Dream Armor For Sleep Lovedrug Matchbook Romance The Matches (should be x2 but isn't scream )* +44 (soon to be x2) Zox The Living End The Higher I Am Ghost* Escape The Fate Cartel* Cobra Starship* Boys Like Girls Quietdrive (I think?)
Also, Paul Wall is also at the Honda Civic Tour, so he'll be added soon. xd
I think that's the full list. o_O; I've also been to many local concerts to see my cousin's band play.
I've discovered quite a few bands by seeing them live, including The Hush Sound, Gatsby's American Dream, and The Higher. heart
The Faint and Lucky Boys Confusion are coming around soon, and I can't go 'cause I'm broke. crying I'm very upset, because both bands are very high on my list of bands I want to see live (along with Green Day, Head Automatica, Mindless Self Indulgence, and I want to see The Hush Sound again now that I know their music).

Did you go to a festival or something or were those bands that you didn't specifically see opening bands?
I have (so far) been to:
They Might Be Giants x2 Liars Beck Harry and the Potters x2 Emily Haines The Shins The Decemberists !!!
One on the Harry and the Potters concerts also had Draco and the Malfoys and some other HP themed bands since it was the Yule Ball, but H and the Ps were the headliners. I've also seen Stephen Lynch, if that counts as a concert.

All of those bands were in seven different concerts. Usually there are four or five bands at each concert. ('Cept the Tool one...Isis was the sole opener.) So I suppose the answer would be openers.
The concerts were as follows...
The Hush Sound/October Fall/The Academy Is.../Fall Out Boy (Motion City Soundtrack was supposed to be there, but they couldn't make it so The Hush Sound was a last-minute replacement.)
Gatsby's American Dream/Lovedrug/Armor For Sleep/Matchbook Romance (We left halfway through Matchbook's set 'cause they ******** suck live...not that they're that great on CD either.)
October Fall/The Hush Sound/From First To Last/The All-American Rejects/Fall Out Boy (AAR are okay, but I wouldn't go to spend money to go see JUST them, hence why I didn't * them last post.)
Isis/Tool
The Matches/Zox/The Living End/+44 (I went to see The Matches, but we were late. crying I was extremely sad, but I got to meet Shawn and Jon. The Matches = third favorite band.)
The Higher/I Am Ghost/Escape The Fate/The Matches
Quietdrive/Boys Like Girls/Cobra Starship/Cartel
Then the Honda Civic Tour, I believe, is... Cobra Starship/Paul Wall/The Academy Is.../+44/Fall Out Boy
My brother saw Steven Lynch. I need to listen to more of his stuff.

Starburst - only good band on your list is Tool, and the Snakes on a Plane song by Cobra Starship is decent
Balloons - those all suck, especially Decemberists and Harry and the Potters
FRRRRUNKS - MSI is awesome, and MC Chris is the man.
Sword Guy - those all blow
Personally, I've only seen
Chimaira (were awsome live) Dragonforce (singer is awsome live, and it's intesnse, but really out of tune...) KillSwitch Engage (KSE+Moshpit+Crowdsurf = awesome)
but those were all in the same show...
still, 'twas an awesome show.

Thanks for the love, nitnit. 4laugh
Stephen Lynch himself was pretty good but overall it wasn't a great experience because we were sitting near these drunk guys that were yelling a lot and we didn't have very good seats.
And I'm seeing the Decemberists in July backed by an orchestra, so that should be fun.

Nitnit, your bands aren't much better. xp Good is subjective and in the eye of the beholder. So I'm going to say that the bands I listed, for the most part are all quite good. Your bands, are...meh. Don't hate 'em, don't like 'em, I'm kind of indifferent and couldn't really care less about them.
And be honest, how many of the bands that I listed have you heard more than 5 songs of?

Obviously. xd S'all good.
crying Damn. I manage to have enough money to possibly go see Lucky Boys Confusion, and tickets miraculously aren't sold out, I don't think...yet I work, and so does the friend I was going to go with...and neither of us can get out of it. My boss is a nazi and it's a holiday weekend (which means it'll be slow as s**t, but she gets paranoid and has EVERYBODY work). And he's going to be one of the only people working that night, so he can't get out of it either.
God damn it, they're on hiatus and I want to ******** see them really badly. gonk Stupid horrible timing.
