i've been seeing this alot through out the christian community. that if you repent and accept christ as your lord and savior your automatically accepted into heaven. you have to do that but there's more to it read: acts 2:36-38 acts14 and so on. first after you repent you have to get baptizeed in the name of JESUS CHRIST not father, son, holyghost if that has happened then you need to get baptized over read: st.john 3:16 then you tarry on the name of JESUS until he fills you with the HOLYGHOST WITH THE EVIDENCE OF SPEAKING IN TOUNGES. after you have donre this you live the life he has told you to live in the world for as the bible says mark the perfect man that you may also live a life of perfection. thats how you get to heaven and have eternal life. PM me for more answers to questions if you have any. i had to say something about this b/c it's killing me when "christians" tell you the accept jesus as your lord and master and thats all. also jesus and god are 1 of the same thing read: titus2:3 god is jesus wrapped up in flesh i think i said enough good night.

Back on topic now, firstly, yes, most Christians believe in the Holy Trinity (God, Jesus, and the Holy Ghost). That said, when you're baptized into 'Jesus', you're baptized into the Holy Trinity. I'm not exactly sure what you're trying to say here...

His saying his tied of the whole "You repent your garented enterence into heaven" His saying baptisim by water isn't enough for salvation, you must be baptised into christ death so you may share in his ressurection.
And if you are truly saved you will not recommit the same sin.
As for the speaking in tounges. I disagree. To one the spirit of tounges, to another the gift of healing, to another the desernment of tounges.
Not all churchers move in the gift of tounges, although I think God will to give it all I don't think speaking in tounges is nessiarry, or a lot of holy men and woman are going to hell for not speaking in it.
I think being transparent for Jesus is good enough.

Baptisim into Christ death is nessicary.
And it's not limiting Christ death by saying there more to being a christian than just repenting.
Jesus never ever said "your sins are forgiven" without following with some sort of notion of go and sin no more. Remember the man being lowered through the roof?
Jesus removed the mans sins. THEN said. "Go sin NO MORE"
If it wasn't possible Jesus wouldn't of said it I think.
And like you think that trying to live a perfect life is limiting Christ.
I think just thinking repenting is enough is a mockery to his sacrifice.

Quote: I think just thinking repenting is enough is a mockery to his sacrifice. i don't think you understand what repentance means. it implies not only saying one is sorry, but abstaining from those things. so when one repents, then the act of trying to not do those things is implied. there is a reversal involved. one doesn't truly repent then go do the same things five minutes later. Quote: And like you think that trying to live a perfect life is limiting Christ. Original Poster mark the perfect man that you may also live a life of perfection. thats how you get to heaven and have eternal life. that my friend is saying that since Christ's death wasn't enough, one HAS to live a perfect life. and define "baptism into Christ's death" please.

1) baptizing into christ death is baptizing in the name of "jesus" you dont get baptized in the father, son, holyghost. you get baptized in the name of the father, son, holyghost = jesus
2) repentance is turning away from that sin it's not just saying sorry. if you're still doing that sin even if you said sorry you never truly repented unless you turned yourself away from that sin
3) speaking in tounges is neccesary. god gives people the gift to INTERPRET TOUNGES but speaking in tounges is the evidence that you have the holyghost.
this is what people are what people are getting confused with.

Where in anywhere does it even mention that speaking in Tongues is required? I can think of a few dozen scriptures that actually say the opposite. confused

On the contrary, I believe that you are somewhat confused. Jesus = God = Holy Ghost. That's why they're a trinity... if you get baptized into any of the one, you're in turn, baptized into the other two, theoretically speaking. If you're baptized into all of them, it's pretty much the same thing. Secondly: repent: to feel sorry, self-reproachful, or contrite for past conduct; regret or be conscience-stricken about a past action, attitude, etc. Repenting is seeking forgiveness for your sins. Repentance is NOT giving up all sin. We are human, we are NOT perfect, we can NOT completely abolish sin from our lives. We are born into, live in, and die in sin. Show me a single human ever mentioned EVER, other than Jesus, that did not sin. Thirdly, see Se Ga Takai's post... where on earth is this said?
