It's almost that time of year again! Time to break out the gardening tools, take long excursions to that flower shop and crack that dirt up for seed and seedling alike! What's on everyone's list for the garden this season and what will these plants be used for?
For me, I don't have a space where I can have my own garden, but I may be helping landscape and plant areas of my folk's house. I also have some herb seeds that I might start growing in plug trays for culinary/religious uses.

I already started growing my herbs indoors. My out door herbs are springing up fast. The parsley and chamomile in my yard started growing in little clumps. My plans are to fill every container I have with plants. That's about 20 of them. Plant more rosemary bushes, build the pond, and other herbs and get my flower canopy growing.

My garlic is doing splendidly and I'm hardening it off this week to plant into my planter come Monday or so. My feverfew got transplanted into a pot on the deck, but it's doing wonderfully, and on top of that chickweed, henbit, burdock, nettle, and all sorts of wonderful things are growing wild in my lawn! -AND- tulips and some other bulbs are growing, and I don't even know who planted them...
Our formal garden is having issues, though. The guy before us tore it up something terrible, and I'm going through trying to repair the damage done.

my Mum has given me some salad and herb seeds which i'm going to grow on my plant stand, i need to get something to sow them into though!
Plus my ginger is waiting for me to plant it too, i bought a hand of it in January, and the sprouts are getting quite large now, but it seems quite happy just sitting on top of my fridge rolleyes

I would love to grow some basil, but i'm terrible in the garden sweatdrop usually its just because i get too lazy to take proper care of the plants xd

I don't know how to seed catnip, but I know it grows well once it's rooted already and established! ((And don't let the cat near it, she'll crush it to dust.))

I have had a catnip garden just for my cats. Yeah they do crush it. Luckly, I had so much of it that the damage done was not bad at all. My cats have failed at killing the catnip. XD I have grown it from seed. It is easy but it is easier to just get a plant. Also, allow it to get established before the kitties get to it just incase.
My catnip is already growing well outside biggrin

My sister and I just bought a house this winter so I have a whole new yard to explore. I will be planting lots of trees and shrubs and wild flowers....I could go on..I am very excitied!!!! xd

That's how we are, too, with our new house! The lady who owns the property, our landlady, she's really into plants too- the garden version, not the medicinal sort.
We have hidden treasures all over, where she's planted irises or tulips or daffodils at random throughout the woods and meadows.
And we have morel mushrooms. ninja

XD I have grown it from seed. It is easy but it is easier to just get a plant. Also, allow it to get established before the kitties get to it just incase. My catnip is already growing well outside biggrin i have a problem with growing it ouside we have atleast 10 wild cats in our neighborhood

.... you need a specialized catnip box. XD Like... a little outdoor garden, all nice and neat, with a wire fence box all the way around it, roof included. You'd go out in the morning and see your catnip cage swarming with cats. XD

The weather is still being unpredictable where I am, so I haven't risked planting anything just yet. I started to move my potted herbs outside when the weather permits it, and they are much more healthy and happy for it. I turned the soil of my garden and readied my compost, but my personal garden is going to have to wait till the fields are compleatly done and established. We are almost done with that though.

The basil that we grew at the begining of summer is still going well, and its growing faster than we can eat it! Yum ^_^ We also have some red and yellow tomato plants which have done really well, as long as we get to the tomatoes before those damn birds do. most stuff is dying down now ready for autumn, but hopefully we will be able to plant some creeping rosemary soon
