Ash awoke to the bright morning sunlight of the savannah. Opening those bright, pinkish red eyes of his, the adult glanced around with that same sleepy daze that almost everyone woke to. Briefly releasing a yawn, the male stretched, although felt immediately as if he'd fall over? Adrenaline and panic did the rest as far as waking the adult up, and immediately he released a loud yelp, meanwhile trying to cling to the branch that he'd apparently been sleeping on.
How on EARTH did he get up here?! In a TREE? Childish as he was, despite being an adult, he began to wail, unfortunately not thinking at the time of the possibility of drawing attention to himself, and possibly luring in one of those evil creatures that liked to eat lions like him. (( Lame post. XD *bricked* ))

Nix was walking along in the morning sun..more like prancing, and bouncing to a song in her head. She loved to sing sometimes, she couldn't help it. singing at night was better though, not many to see her as she did. Her white mane bounced as she continued, until her ears caught the sound of something...
Someone was in trouble?
She flicked her tail and looked to a tree, not to far ahead. Something seemed to be up in it. She smiled, giggled to herself and bounded forward towards it. She didn't bother using an allusion to hide her wings, she thought that was silly. "Are you alright? Do you need help friend?" she asked with a smile, swaying back and forth.
Sometimes she really couldn't stay still.

Ash continued to wail, throwing a fit up in the tree on the branch that he clung to. And, despite the tantrum he was pulling, it really didn't take him long to spot the black colored spot bounding towards his spot. This only casued Ash to cry out more, although internally his head wheeled with thoughts.
"Evil winged beast has spotted me.. I'm going to eaten.. fried for lunch.. poached in the sun.. grilled to a crisp.." He debated to himself, shaking the branch while he thought. Hardly noticing the cracking and creaking noises the branch made in protest to his bouncing, Ash continued.
Ears quirked forward as his gaze turned towards the ground, at the black colored, funky haired, big, winged beast below. What WAS that? Friend..? "Do I look like I'm all right?! And you're not my friend!" He retorted between sniffels. Meanwhile he tucked his tail up against his side, just a precaution to keep the beast from tryign to eat it.

Nix tilted her head at him..this one was strange? She smiled and put her fore paws on the trunk of the tree, "I'm sorry...it was a stupid question...and thats fine then..." though it wasn't really fine with her. She never had someone say they didn't want to be friends, she never had enemies or people that didn't like her.
She didn't like it in the least but..she had to help him.
"Want me to help you get down? I won't hurt you I swear...I'm Nix..." she said with sparkling ice eyes. They seemed to glow in the sunlight, but a warm smile upon her maw she kept there all the while.
She didn't want him to get scared and fall.
That would be bad.

"No! I know how you beasts work! Trick poor Ash and then try to eat him.. I know your filthy games!" He yelped, trying to wrap his paws around the tree even more.
The branch, however, really didn't like this much movement and weight against it, and it only groaned more in protest.
Ash wasn't oblivious to this the second time around, and his eyes quickly dashed to the once sturdy bit of tree below him, lip quivering. "I'm gonna diiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiie!" He wailed louder, the branch slowly beginning to sink and crackle even more while he remained on top of it. Any normal lion would've moved. But no. This was Ash. He was easily paniced and had a knack for finding trouble. Either which way, the branch was breaking, he was headed towards the ground, and that beast was just standing there waiting for him to fall.
"Please go away!" He yelped offhandedly as the branch readied to snap.

Did someone try to eat him before? She was no beast! She frowned, ears folding back, "If I was going to hurt you..and I was mean like that...don't you think that I would've done it already? I said I won't hurt you...so I won't..."
She watched as the branch began to snap, her eyes widened, "You have to move off of it!" she said trying to see if there was anyway she could help him. There really wasn't...unless...
She crouched down, and spread her wings out wide. They were larger than usual, quite puffy, she drained the energy from them and surged it into her forelegs. If he would fall, he could land on her wings to make it not hurt as much or hurt at all.
Plus..he wouldn't get shocked.

wow. The beast was surely much dumber than Ash had originally thought. She was putting herself in the direct path of the branch if it actually did break. So... all the weight from that.. and himself.. would surely smash her..?
He didn't want to.. kill her.. but. Any chances of keeping her distracted while he ran off made him game.
Sure enough, as the branch cracked off and fell, Ash released himself, and, within a few seconds, had landed squarely upon Nix's spread out wings. Scrambling in panic, the albino quickly dove off the female and rather quickly headed to the opposite side of the tree trunk.

As he fell and hit her wings she merely closed her eyes and gritted her teeth. He was quite heavy, but it wasn't that bad. She had minor healing abilities, due to the stored energy she usually kept in her wings. As he scrambled off, sparks or lightning came off of her forearms, and surged back into her wings.
They glowed for a moment, then ceased.
She stood up, stretched them out then pulled them against her back. She peered towards where he was now, he seemed better, but still afraid, "Do you see now? We're not all bad..."

"No! Scary bluey purpley white sparks come from the winged beast," He mumbled to himself, peeking around the tree trunk at the girl on the opposing side.
But see.. if he ran.. she could easily catch him.. pick him up and fly up into the air.. and then drop him! Squash him.. splat him flat smack into the ground. And then /eat/ him. The thought made the male cringe and whine.
"You're bad! Terrible! Keep away!" He yelped, taking special care to keep the tree between himself and Nix, although meanwhile somewhat took a quick eye to the surroundings. Where exactly could he dart off to..? Silently he schemed. Staying here only put him in more danger, he thought.

Nix's ears fell back, she took a side step to look at him more. Boy was he a coward...no, she shouldn't label him. Perhaps something bad happened to him when he was a cub, made him fearful of others. But she wasn't bad! What did she have to do to prove that to him?
It really upset her that he was calling her a monster...
He was being the monster calling her things like that...
"They come from me because I am a goddess...and I don't mean to frighten you by them I just..." she turned her eyes away from him. Perhaps this one wouldn't be a friend, or help her find her sister. Figures, when she tries to help someone, she gets hurt, then is labeled as a monster.
She wasn't bad or terrible...not in the least, unless someone threatened her friends, those she cared for. She sighed and flopped onto the ground, face turned from him, if he wished to run, she would not chase him. She tried to help, only to be called a monster.

A.. goddess..? Ash sidestepped again to keep out of the girl's vision range. What.. was.. a goddess..? He wasn't sure.. well. Besides those rumors he'd heard. Beastly, cruel things. He kept his mouth shut tight, however, refusing to speak anything else. Ash might upset her.. and then she'd release her horrid, evil powers on him. Yes. Beastly things, these gods.
But.. she didn't.. seem too dangerous.. in fact she was just.. laying there.. not near as pushy as that Miamba critter in the pridelands..
With a quiet paw, he began to poke at the females tail. It was so.. very.. glowy. Sort of. As long as she didn't make any sudden moves to jump him..
But if she did, he'd be ready to scramble off in a heartbeat, yes.

Nix sighed and just stared off, mumbling to herself, "Where are you..." she had never gone this far away before. Why couldn't she feel where she was? Strange, perhaps they lost their connection the last time she herself was reincarnated, no matter, she always looked the same every time.
Then she felt something....strange...on her tail...
It took her off guard and she felt the power began to surge, she peaked around and saw him there, poking it...why the hell would he poke her tail?! She it from him fast and scooted back from him and closed her eyes...since the lightning had nothing to surge into now, it retracted back into her and sparks flew from her body as she winced and flopped over again.
Damn stuff...she really needed to make it work right.
It hurt, she basically shocked herself, more so then he would've gotten, but then he would call her more names. She peered at him and frowned, "Not going to run? I have no reason to run after you...I only look for my sister...go..." she turned form him and sighed, "If you're afraid of me go..."

Ash couldn't help but giggle. She like. Sparked herself. It was entertaining. "Haha..! Do it again!" He grinned, hardly realizing what he was doing, and hopped closer, giving the girl another poke. He'd hardly realized what she'd been doing in the first place, which was keeping /him/ out of harm.
"Doagaindoagaindoagain!" He grinned, poking her several more times. This was all done in a matter of seconds, and before he knew it, Ash had realized /what/ exactly he'd been doing. Squealing, he retreated to behind the tree trunk for a second time.
"Eh?" He questioned, peeking around the tree and again peering towards the girl. "..family? Whasshelooklike?" Ash remained behind, however. Safety, m'hm.

Nix's face went to an emotionless face...did he want to get shocked and have a static mane? If he kept poking her, she wouldn't hold the energy in...he was like...a cub. Strange, quite strange. Then he quickly retreated and when he spoke, she wondered if she should even answer or not.
But she did anyway.
"She's big...dark pelted...if you get close enough...you can see red on her too..she had wings like me too..." perhaps she had found out how to make an allusion over herself though? Hmmm, what if she had. Strange. What to do?
Certainly not hurt this fellow out of annoyance.
Though it was quite tempting.

"Big..?" He questioned, cocking his head. "Dark..?" He added, mind turning and churning. "Like. A big black thing?"
Then it hit him. Like a big old rock being thrown at his head. Releasing another loud squeal, Ash attempted to jump back up into the treet.
"I saw it! I did! Big black thing! It was close to me! HUGE! And blaaaack!"
He spazzed. She'd made it sound like this big black thing were bad.. so that's how he took it. As something to be /feared/. Obviously the fuel for his currect reaction.
"It was following me!" He added, finally catching a branch and meanwhile trying to pull himself back up into the tree.
