Scales shimmered in the heat of the midday sun, making the small yellow snake with her multi colored spots feel more than a little out of place. She wasn't happy with where she was.
Granted the little immortal snake wasn't happy when she wasn't in the sky with Athrun, he always made her feel comfortable, wrapped around his neck happily.
She wished she could just get up and fly right now, but for some reason every time she tried it didn't work.
"What's the use of being a bird if you can't fly whenever you want to?" Hatimle'Mvua grumbled at last in her hissing voice. "I wanna fly again, why can't I?"
Grumbling to herself as she wiggled her body across the grass agian in search of something to do, someone to meet, some things to see. ninja

Kaede was walking around, but stopped every few minutes. She felt slower, she poked her stomach lightly, it was rounder. Perhaps she had eaten too much the other day. She peered around, wondered where Goma had gone. Perhaps it was a game of hide and seek? She smiled, Goma was so much fun to be around. He made her feel loved.
"What will the sun bring me today...perhaps a friend from far away?" she sang softly, she liked to sing, make funny rhymes. But it was hard for her to do it around others. A bit of fright when she saw many faces upon her. Made her voice squeak.

Launching herself off of a rock, Hati bounced off of the ground when she hit, her wings not having picked her up and launched her like she'd hoped. Sadly the little snake sighed gently and slithered over the ground slowly, in search of another, bigger, rock.
"Maybe if I get up higher my wings'll work. Athrun always says that my wings are invisible." Hati mumbled to herself, twisting her body gently to get further across the ground.
There was always hope in everything that she did, so why couldn't she feel it right now? Why couldn't she fly?
"Well this just isn't right!" Hati called up to the birds flying in the air above her. "You'll see! I'll fly again!" ninja

Kaede walked along until she saw something bounce to teh ground, little and yellow. Calling something up towards the birds? Strange. As she got closer she noticed it wriggle, a snake? Launching itself from a rock? Well, that couldn't be healthy.
"What're you doing little one? You might hurt yourself," Kaede said with a smile, peering down at teh little yellow creature, "I'm Kaede, who're you?"

The large jackal standing above her didn't entirley seem mean, so Hati didn't really mind her all that much. So she turned her little yellow and multi-colored body around so that she could look up at the larger furry being.
"I'm trying to fly again. But it's not easy being a bird with no wings." Hati said with a laugh and rattled her little striped tail brightly. "I'm Hatimle'Mvua, call me Hati though, it's nice to meet you."
Hati could actually be motherly when she wanted to, though she never really grew up she was completely immortal thanks to the curse of a god that she loved so badly. ninja

"Hati, such a sweet name, I'm Kaede. Did you say you were trying to fly?" Kaede sat down and crossed her paws. Strange, a bird with no wings? But, Kaede saw a snake. Ooo! Perhaps the gods had cursed Hati like she had been cursed (so she was told by Goma) and she was a bird stuck in a snake body as she was a lion stuck in her body.
"Jumping off things high like that could be dangerous, you should be more careful, plus, others might be about that aren't as friendly as me," she said with a nod, her tail wagging.
Hati seemed quite nice.

"Yeah, it's quite easy actually. I do it all the time." Hati said, though in her little mind it didn't have anything to do with the fact that she was staring out of a god's collar all the time. Of course... she wasn't exactly bright after all. Just... happy bright, not bright smart.
Dangerous? "How would it be dangerous?" Hati asked, her voice serious. In her mind Kaede was already a friend, that was just how she was. ninja

Kaede smiled and flopped down onto the ground by Hati. Kaede felt a bit tired today, but tot alk to a friend would be nice, especially a flying snake no doubt. "Well, other lions, not all lions are like me, I'm a nice lion, others might try to catch you and they might hurt you...not safe to be out in the open sometimes..."
She peered around as if making sure nothing was creeping up on them, but all was fine. But she did wonder about the snake's flying ability,"How do you fly Hati?"

"I'm not really sure, probably has something to do with Athrun, but then I know it doesn't always have stuff to do with him." Hatimle scratched under her little yellow chin with the tip of her tail and pondered.
So this was what other lions looked like? Well... Azraceri and Akiiki both looked different than each other... maybe this was a smaller form of Aki? Maybe he looked like this once when he was much tinier, not that she'd seen him in a while however. "So then Kaede's a nice lion? Well then I suppose I'm safe as long as I stay with you? Or at least until I can find a decent way to start flying again." A smile graced the small snake's face and she nodded. ninja
