Having just hatched Serendipity was curious and ready to make friends. But her shy interior began to leak through her confident exterior as she and her owner arrived at the park. She eyed off the huge park and shrunk behind Delijah's leg. Del squatted down and picked Serendipity up, cradling her in her arms. Huge red eyes shone back at her, looking for comfort. Del smiled and patted her on the head.

"Come on, it will be fine. Want to play in the sandpit?" Del asked Serendipity as she made her way to the sandpit.

Serendipity snuggled closer to Del and smiled, the warmth of Del's body comforted her. She nodded in agreeance at Del's suggestion.

Del placed Serendipity in the sandpit and smiled at her.

Serendipity rocked slightly in her egg until it fell over and she crawled out. She was weak on her legs and moved out of it slowly. She sat in the coarse sand for a while, taking in her surroundings. Everything was so big, and new.... She could see miles of green grass and huge, thick trunked trees that were so big they seemed to be playing with their heads in the clouds. Serendipity surveyed the sandpit. It looked ordinary and she was not sure what she was supposed to do with it. She was about to turn back to Del when a glint of silver caught her eye. She removed the binkie from her mouth and crawled over to the shiny object. She put her paw on it and it disappeared. In shock Serendipity pulled her paw away and was about to cry when she saw that it was still there. It took a few more repititions of this act before Serendipity realised that when it disappeared it was still there just under her paw. She smiled and went to pick up the object. She couldn't grab it, her paw just slid off it. She dug her paw in the sand next to the object and found that her paw sunk. She nearly screamed but was able to pull it back out again. It took her a few moments to recover from the shock. She dug it in again, this time more confidently and slid her paw under the object until it moved. She pushed upward and out popped a shiny, silver flower shape. Quite content with her work, she began to inspect her newly found toy closer.

Del was silently amused by the happenings of her younster.
