Ok... I spent at least 45 minutes today searching for Theo's dummy, ninja (pacifier for you uninfomed types xp ) so I decided to find out the greatest places that the parents of the GPG have found their childrens dummies.
Shock and impress me people, with your childrens houdini - inspired dummy shenanigans!!! xd

oh i wouldn't know.. and i never heard them called that. I have heard binkies but that's about it. Naaman never really used one because when he was a newborn and all the way up to being a toddler.. he used to stick his tongue out a lot. so, while he wanted to suck on one.. he couldn't keep it in there very long. i just gave up on after 3 weeks of trying. of course.. it saved me the trouble of weaning him off of it.

kieren never used a pacifer but i can replace that with his hiding of his sippy cup. We were at my mothers one day and he was drinking it walking around then all of a sudden he didn't have it. so my mother and i began to search her whole house moving chair opening every closet and drawer to no luck we tried again the next day (my son was with my husband that day) but the day after that my son came with me. disappeared for less then a second and walked back in holding his sippy and getting ready to drink from it. I had to pretty much dive to keep him from drinking 3 day old juice but to this day we can't figure out where he put it but he didn't forget.

... did ya look in the bath tub fawcet? Some of them fit pretty neatly right in the fawcet opening and is a neat place to tuck it while a little one takes a bath. Leaving it to startle the next person to turn on the water, the water comes spraying out from the sides before the binky comes shooting out. It's the old, gotta get down on their level trick. They are at a height where they see all these little cubby holes that are the perfect size for their things, I would guess they feel that is where they fit in to the whole is in these places where no one else is putting anything. wink
We lost a 20 dollar bill once, was that time of the month too when it was all we had untill the next check that was a day or so away. We turned the whole house upside down looking for it but it was lost good. We knew that Scott, who was 2 at the time, had to have done something with it but he was too little to understand or give us any clues. We even followed him around every where he went hoping he would go back to the place where he left it. We finally gave up and after a while fogot about it, then a good half a year later my husband was getting his old work boots out of the closet to go work in the woods for a bit. Lo and behold there it was that 20 was snuggly tucked away inside that boot. The boot was in our bedroom closet and so was the least likely place we expected it to be. The kid was only out of our site a minute when he nabbed it from the coffee table and disapeared with it. Why he choose that boot in our closet as the place where that bill belonged was a puzzle.

I used a paci for a week before I lost it in the car, I found it a month later. Logan's a thumb only kinda kid, never wanted a paci anymore.
Although sippy cups always seem to get lost and full of milk, YUCK!

Theo loves to hide things- his dummy, the discs with my assignments on them gonk - anything he can get ahold of. The cheekiest thing he does is hide his Hefalump (his comfort toy) and his dummy when he knows its nap time, because he can't sleep without them. rolleyes The deviousness of 2 year olds!

Arielle used to be so attached to her Nukie (we call them this in my family cause we use Nuk brand pacifers) but recently she only needs it for sleep and not during the day as much. but yeah, the funniest place i ever found it was hidden between the wall and her crib. I searched her room one day for an hour and never thought to look between the wall and her crib. >.< the most amazing place was up in her stuffed animal net. we had a mesh hammock like net that we keep her stuffed animals in. It is placed like five and half feet off the ground, Arielle is eight months old. somehow she mangaged to, I guess, fling it up there. She has been through three nuks so far, she chewed two to bits and lost one. 3nodding
Nasiswand: your son is like Tommy Pickles from Rugrats ! *giggles*

Mine never liked the darn things, so I never had to hunt for one......but... my sister used to hide them in the bottom drawer of her dresser..... where all the stuff that was almost never used was put. When my mom finally got around to looking in THAT drawer, there were about a dozen in there. blaugh
