I think that until you are no longer a minor, you should likely respect your parent's wishes.

Twack reagun ban Twack TeaDidikai I think that until you are no longer a minor, you should likely respect your parent's wishes. But they're not being fair. its just a comic My house, my rules. Minor schminor. wait who are you siding with? confused Your parents. If they want to implement a rule you don't agree with, I disagree with Tea on the "until you are no longer a minor" and substitute it with "as long as you are under their rules". It has nothing to do with fairness, it has to do with parental discipline. If you had chosen some less blatantly offensive comic strips, I wouldn't have been so adamant, but from your parents' perspective you seem a little like you're rebelling for the sake of it.

You know, of the actually funny OMG! comics, you picked the ones that are just plain mean. You could at least get a funny one on there:

yeah, cause stealing from church property is so nice...
There's a commonality in them that they are a direct challenge to Christians, which seems a bit confrontational. Is that really the message you want to send?

Hmm... just goes to show how much things have changed since I was a kid... Back in my day, we had to walk up hill, 30 miles, to and from school... and they hadn't invented roads yet, they only had broken glass... and legs weren't invented yet eirther, so we had to drag ourselves with our tongues... No wait... that isn't what I was going to say... sweatdrop Hmm... confused Ah yes. I can see how those comics may be considered inflammatory... but being able to have any on your binder at all is a step forward from what was in some schools. We weren't allowed to have any comics or stickers on our binders... everything was to be kept in the binder. As far as parental discretion... it is a matter of taste... The fact that they let you keep the Pagan and Proud sticker was a show of at least acceptance, if not support for your religious inclinations.

Reagun>> Sorry, I misspoke. I agree with the whole "Under their rules" statement. I was speaking from experience, not law.
~was no longer a minor at 16~
