all the time on my max2, the data gets currupted for no reason and i have to delete it and start over which gets very annoying because right when i got afronova (again) it currupted and i had to start over. This happns on my freinds Max game too. stressed

The only reason I've known people getting data corruption is that they have auto save on. Do you have auto save on?

Yeah, the autosave acts funny sometimes the best thing you can do is to wait a bit after every completed set of songs or just after the song if you feel like it and then turn off the console. I think its because for some reason the autosave lags and then is interupped just as its finishing. But as a back procaution from now on you can save manually in the options menu.

It probably is auto save I turn it on when I'm playing but otherwise its off

Well, I have my MAX2 and Extreme Data on seperate memory cards because my Extreme got corrupted... I just had to unlock EVERYTHING all over again on Extreme stressed , which was more annoying then doing it on MAX2. I don't have MAX yet, but I want it.

Don't worry. That's what the imported versions are for. I own 8th Extreme jp and Party Collection. Party Collection only has 2 good songs on it lol. Freedom by BeForU and Paranoia -Rebirth- by .3k 8th is exactly like the arcade with the songs except it doesn't have the songs from 3rd-7th mixes aside from the Paranoias, and MAXs.

data gets corrupted because the playstation gets turned off while its autosaving - dont turn the machine off while you're in the song selection menu or in the play area. leave it for a few seconds in the main start menu before shutting off the machine and you should stop getting corrupted date - or if you wanna be really safe, just turn off autosave and remember to save in the options menu before turning off the machine wink

Beginner mode's for sissys. www.play-asia.com You can get 6th-8th, Party, Festival there. 1st-5th aren't made anymore since they're for PSX/PS1...but you may get lucky on ebay...I have a friend with all of them. She got them for Christmas 2-3 years ago.

If you turn off your system while it's saving/reset it, the data will get corrupted.
I suggest turning it off and manually saving every now and then.

It happens to me also, and I take supreme care of it. I never turn it off without any other special ritual before that involves pressing Start+Select.
