The Story: The continent of Huru was once home to many races those being: elves, humans, dwarves, orcs, ogres, dark elves, humanoid, centaur, minotaur, and animal. Humans, dwarves, and centaur were generally considered the 'good guys'; The orcs, orgres, and humanoid being 'bad'. The minotaurs fended for themselves, and cared for no others, and the two elven races lived in opposite corners of the continent hidden within nature, staying neutral. Animal was scattered throughout aiding those who needed help, but sometimes turning on those they had helped.

One day the humans grew even more greedy than before and thought that perhaps they should start war with the 'bad guys' to get their land. They demanded help from the centaur, dwarves, and animal and recieved little help from any except the animals who gladly joined in. Upon asking the elves and darkelves they immediately refused, and the humans grew furious. The dark elves noticed the rage and fled, leaving their peaceful lands and became hidden on another part of the continent. The elves however weren't so lucky, and became extinct soon after from a human sneak attack.

The minotaurs were in a blind rage as soon as they heard of the humans taking over both elven lands, and coming for the minotaurs next-a rumour started by the animals that humans were to jsut attack the minotaurs with not even an explanation or request or anything brought their rage up more. When the humans came to ask them whether they were to aid the humans or go against them, the minotaurs held themselves back atfirst and told them that they were to have a meeting between leaders in the morning. Believing it to all be a trap, and that the humans were just there to kill them irregardless the main leader of the human troops was assasinated. In the morning blame was pointed, a small civil war began, and the humans took their captains death as a sign that the minotaurs must perish. Humans took advantage of the current weak state of the minotaurs and wiped them from the face of the continent as they did the elves.

The war went on like this for a few more months leaving the human, dwarf, centaur, orcs, ogres, and humanoid population at half, the animals still being at large, and the dark elves missing. The humans finally realized their folly and stopped the war then and there. Unfourtantely not all humans agreed with stopping the war, and not all mourned the loss of trust and possible valuable allies. Bickering within the main human city began and the race soon split up into four kingdoms-Noro in the North, Suru in the South, Wara in the West, and Eru in the East.

During the months after the dark elves were forced to leave their homes, they moved to a secluded part of the continent where the humans would not think to look. Their population grew over the years, and eventually they were the only rivals to the animals massive population.

Now, 100 years after that humans have made themselves forget about their mistakes, and they once again believe it is time for more land-more power, fourtanetly they remember the loss of those possible allies and call upon all the other known races to have a confrence in Noro-the most peaceful of the 4 human cities.

Up until this time, you see, the peoples forgot abotu the dark elves almost completely. They thought the race was all a myth, created to balance the brightness of the elves which were said to live across he ocean. Others merely thoguht they once existed, but have not lived on that continent for hundreds of years-or perhaps never. So it was quite a surprise when the dark elves showed up at the gates of Noro just after the last race walked through, with a proposition.

"We have a deal for you all," the Lord's voice rang out on the cold winter morning like a fire's heat, "Our forces have grown, so that the only rival of our army is that of the animals. We shall leave one person with a few gaurds and advisors here, for you to convince that your race is worthy for our assitance. But hear this," his voice turned icy as he sad those last three owrds, and remained so as he continued, "If anything bad happens to the representitive, we will stay in our new home growing, and becoming more nad more powerful until we decide that all suspects of the crime must perish. Or until we decide that it's tiem we do some conquering to avenge our ancestors."

Just then a girl of about 17 stepped forth, her dark hair shimmered like silk in the frosty air, and her dark green cloak stood out against her pale-bluish skin. The Lord's voice grew warmer, as he finished, "This is our representitive."

Races:

Humans - The most greedy of all races. They have been known to try trickery/bribery to win over others in the past. Other than that a standard fantasy human.

Dwarves - They rely on their wide variety of weapons for most things. They are shorter-and generally wider-than other races, so lack speed.

Ogres - Great offense with melee combat, though they are extrmely slow and are not very bright. Very tall, bulky, and wide.

Orcs - Not quite as strong as ogres, but faster. They are alot like ogres but shorter, and skinnier.

Dark Elves - The only truely neutral force left. Normally fairly pale with blueish skin they either have extremely light or extremely dark hair. A fairly well rounded race that specializes in speed.

Centaur - From waist up is human, waist down horse. They have remarkable speed due to their horse legs, and expert archery and swordsmanship. One of their advantages is requiring no steed.

Humanoid - The humanoids look human atfirst, but all of them have atleast one animal feature, fangs, pointed ears, and keen eye-sight and/or hearing. They are often noted to be barbaric, and canabilistic. They are the second most sneaky of all races, though they do not think enough to considering assisination.

Animal - The most sneaky of all races. Much liek the humanoids they are an animal-human hybrid, but their bodies, senses, and instincts tend to favour the animal side, normally resembling large animals on their hind legs. The love resorting to trickery to stab people in the backs, and are quite often hired as assasins.

Concerning Assasination:
You must have two parties agree on this (the one hiring, and the one being assasinated). And the one whe hires the assasin is only to be know by the one whom he hired, the one whom he assasinated, torturors if they torture the information out of someone, and espionage if they over hear the information being leaked.
All assisination attempts without the one being assisinated consent leads to attempted assassination, but failure unless thereby permitted by the target.

Riots: Merely troops/lower classes of races not agreeing with the desicions the councillor went through with, and go against them.

Bio: Kahlan is Princess Valery's best friend and number one bodyguard. Trained by by skilled Elven Warlords, Kahlan lets nothing stand in the way of Valery's safety.

Kahlan and Valery had been best friends ever since they were born, even though one's parents were respected leaders, the other's, soldiers from two different armies. Kahlan was deeply in love with Valery, though never showed it in public. Even being a cross-breed, her father an dark-elvish soldier, and her mother a human, it never stopped them from being friends. The fact that she was two different races combined into one, it gave her distinct features. She possessed pointed ears like any other dark-elf, but her skin wasn't as dark and pale. Instead she had light-colored skin and hair, but was frowned upon by many. And if it weren't for the princess' constant begging and the fact that Kahlan was well-trained, she would most likely be a servant, scrubbing the the palace floors.

Kahlan stepped up to the princess, her amber-colored hair tucked neatly beneath her war-helmet.

You know Valery, this is a dangerous job... Are you sure you want to go through with it? Our 'Lord' and his men haven't left yet. I could still catch them before they leave and tell them you want to resign.

((At the moment, yes, they are, though if wished you may leave. But most of the RP takes place in Noro))
Valery shook her head, "It is okay, Kahlan, my friend. This is the path I have chosen, and I must walk it now." She shook her head, and looked back at her friend smiling, "I must do this now, regardless. But thank you for your concern." She tried to seem calm, but she was certain that her friend could see the calm exterior to the nervousness and annoyance below it. She was still waiting for someone to be polite enough to come and greet her.
Suddenly, as if deciding that introducing herself might help, she took a deep breath, a step forward, and stood there like a black cloud against the snow. She even used her last name, which she rarely did. "Good peoples of all races, I hope you will welcome me here as a guest, and a friend. My name is Princess Valery Nightwind, of the dark elves. As my father explained, I am here as a representitive-to chose who shall recieve help from the dark elves. I pray this all goes well, and there shall be no hard feelings in anything that happens, and that perhaps the war may never even happen." she bowed, her dark hair falling over her shoulders once more.

Valery nodded her head to Korgath. "I understand your plea, sir, but I must have time to hear out everyone else aswell." She shook her head. 'My, my...I actually hadn't expected it to be an Orc first to come over. But that, I suppose, comes with living in a secluded area all my life' Bowing her head in respect she whispered a few elven words, "Seelas to Spiros ki aito suru."
