I'm intrested in when non-electronica you all listen to, I'm personally into Ska-punk, classical and avant-garde kinda stuff although i like some brit-hop and old school rap as well.
I'm sorry if this thread has already come and gone.

Um...lots of indie. I've found that most of the stuff that comes from Iceland is beauuutiful. I'm a big fan of Mum, Bjork, Sigur Ros, Worm is Green...that kind of stuff. I like a lot of dancepunk acts like !!! and LCD Soundsystem. "Indietronic" is also good, although I think that term sounds funny. D:
Some of my favorite bands/arists/groups - the Unicorns, M83, the Starlight Mints, Patrick Wolf, Super Furry Animals, Doves, My Bloody Valentine, the Go! Team, Eisley, Animal Collective, Minus the Bear, Manitoba...etc etc. List could go on a looong time.
I like the occasional pop song, although I'm usually afraid to admit it...and I do enjoy some of the more mainstream "indie" acts, even though once they've hit MTV they basically lose all indie cred. I'm not completely elitest so I love 'em anyway...Muse, the Killers, Franz Ferdinand, Modest Mouse. Well, Modest Mouse has been a little, local indie band for loooooooooong before "Float On" was ever released, so I don't see it as being a terrible thing that they've finally made it big.
Um...I'm rambling. :3 I also like jazz. I really don't know much about jazz, but I love listening to it. It's just so sultry and atmospheric and always reminds me of the city. I don't like "smooth jazz" though. It's like...worse than drinking diet soda all the time.
Woo. That's the main stuff..

Some pop. I've always listened to rock. I lean more towards Alternative though. Some old school 80s rock. Indie, like Kenzi. Soft rock is good sometimes too. I don't restrict myself to genres. If it sounds good, I listen to it. Except country. It really, really rare that I find a country song I like. Eww.

Alternative, Country... I can handle Brit Pop, but not in large doses. I pretty much hate the hell out of everything else.

Oh gosh....I listen to a lot of different kinds of music. I like female vocals, a lot. Soft, soothing kinda stuff. I also listen to some hip-hop, ska/punk, jazz, some older "pop". I dunno. XD I usually just listen to jazzy, deep house. It's hard to try to figure out what else is on my playlist at home (when I'm at work).

I was listening to the radio with my Dad one day and he said, "what about some oldies". That CCR song "Down on the Corner" was on. I stoped it there and said, "old enough for you? Hippy music." He said, "hey now, don't be dissin the hippies." What makes it so funny is that my Dad is almost on of those "good ol' boys" from the South. Except that he's not racist or stupid. But he acts like a good ol' boy. He likes to shoot things, ride on ATVs, wild about old cars, just about every nuetral stereotype. I love my Daddy. heart
