when i first started it was just enough for me to collect an out fit, and then sell it to get a new one. getting trunks and links was a nice touch. then i slowly moved into the mini shops area and collected like crazy. from their i discovered the charity area and did that for a while. then the breedables area opened, and i found myself doing three things at once mini shops, breedables, and charity. slowly charity lost the battle as did mini shops. they were replaced with the q and f, but the breedables remained. i went through a semi small phase of that, but once i opened a shop i stoped buying pretty much. becuase i started getting into buying all the clothing i wanted. and not selling a thing. now i am still into my breedables shops, but i have all the clothes i want so i am started to lean into the art area. i try and keep up with the monthly donations though. also getting trunks isn't all that great anymore. mostly because they are hardly worth anythign or have anything in them that i want.

That is quite a history. Mostly I hang out in the Welcome to Gaia forum. I made friends in there. Then I met Dlast and got very much into EVIL so the Exchange became my other home.

Oh, Oh, I wanna tell my life on here.
I joined when the Love shack was still open, then I left. I made another name in August (this name). I went to the WTG forum. There, I met my first friend: Umaeril heart
I guess I was like every other noob. Wondering the usual questions, and then I don't remember much, I made a few friends here or there, mostly hung out at the Chatterbox. Sooner or later, I went to Uma's quest thread. At that time, she was questing for Minis whee She had about 750k. After only a week, I joined the E.V.I.L guild. It was still small and cozy, the post schedule was more like, you post 1 day in about 5 threads and come back the next day, very nice and fitted my posting schedule well. (If you look at page 15 of the threads, you'll see the first time I posted) I wrote like a Noob, well, most of the time. Umaeril sent me P.ms from time to time with helpful tips. I got my first Enchanted Trunk which contained a Scar of a Hero, but I sold it at the store, not knowing it could be sold 3 times the price I sold it at.
I started a quest of mine, folowing the format of Umaeril's, I made it, Dlastbird sent me 1k to buy a Trading Pass, so I wrote in my introduction in my quest thread, I started slow, then I got my first actually donation... From umaeril whee heart A Ninja Headband (reason why I barely take it off). Met my second true friend... Temmon, friend and relative of Umaeril's ^_^.
And the rest is nothing big, I saved up, up to 50k and bought rares that will rise in price, started hanging out in q&f and stopped, being aggrivated and now I'm a reg at the charity Subforum. Recieved many amazing donations and gotten many rares over the months, even though I'm still questing for the same commons for over half a year, I had fun and made many friends and I have become a writer, I guess that's it. 3nodding
Adding this to my journal 3nodding

Well. I joined gaia August 31st 2004, after a good friend had shown me it. I was very interested, and immediately adapted, although I got most of my items buy donating, and sucked at buying/selling. Haven't done much whoring since, but I consider myself an exchanger. The Exchange is my main forum. I'm very much into avatars, and I can totally relate to what you said, about when you joined, how you sold one outfit to get the next. But yeah, I've tried to stop that(with not much succession..). Well, my name up until the poitn of about a month, was Hapkido. After crashing ZiegDiabloique's wedding, and nearly getting reported, I changed my name to insure my safety. Vicious Jello was born 3nodding
On Sunday September 19th I had my own mini shop, for making siganatures and wishlists. Didn't get very far. Actually I think we got 0 sells sweatdrop
The Cast of The Three Stooges shop consisted of Me, Domon_Kasshu, and Sentiment. Well, where I left off(Sunday, September 19th 2k4), Sentiment's sister stopped by, apparently making Domon her bizzatch on aim ... eek ... Well. We all chatted for a while, mainly about Sent's absence. I think it was from testing or something. Well, it just so happened that his sister was an employee of Letolas Reloaded's second shop. I came in, noticed it had been around for a week, and already had 119 pages eek
Yeah, that was shocking to me. We had our shop for three weeks at that point with around 20 pages. Well, I noticed the oh-so cute banners, and labels. (I was still pretty noobish). I thought she had made them, and wanted to know just how much competition our shop had (lol). I posted on page 119, the last post, asking her for a sig. She was sort of.. Lost for words.. She didn't understand why I wanted a sig from her. It turned out she didn't make those banners, just had some great friends, a great set up, and a leveled out popularity. This got her that far. Okay, after ordering the sig (took about a week) I wanted to be friends with her. She was the nicest person I had ever met. At this point, the averages around her shop were: Neo Shadow, Ransu, Herself, Me, Preci0us, and (on occasion) MK. Well, I was mainly firends with James, Lance, and Leti. It seemed like we were at the shop the most. We spent a lot of time having fun and talking with eachother.
Well, after selling all of my items (which, may I remind you, were bought with real cash) I got a pair of JU03 pants for 60.2 k. (They used to just be called JU xd ) And Letolas Dubbed me the king of newbies. After that I built up my avi with what I needed for it to look good (this hair cut, these pants, pengs, winged, kill l0cke... You've all seen it a few times..). Around this time I had met Tim at leti's shop, and was invited here to EVIL. (Sometime in late September or Early October)
Yeah well, James decided to get married, that whole incident happened, and Vicious Jello became known as "TheQuitter". The next day I joined with a new account xd , MildChild. I later changed the name to VJ2, and then to Jacked_Up_Jello. (This was all in about two weeks). Well. I rejoined EVIL (thank God, and Tim too blaugh ). We had the awesome 2k4 halloween evnt. Oh, did I mention, that along with my old account, went all fo my items (at ridiculously low prices).
After that things settled down again, until Winter approached. I then was into Guns N' Roses(a lot), and I Leti, Lance and James had become closer than ever. We knew a lot about eachother, and cared for one another a lot. Well, everything was fine, accept for Lance (I'm sorry bro.. whee ). He felt that, no one liked him, and that he was not very popular. Man, he was very depressed. After so long of this, I told him how much he meant to me, and how I could talk to him all the time, sort of like... A brother. This is how Lance became known as my brother. This led into Leti being my sister ofcourse, too. Around this time I had saved up 10 k, and found, with halloween over, that my name no longer had spunk. Changed it back to the original, Vicious Jello.
Secret Santa! I an Dan were running it. I think it went pretty well, we didn't really have any complaints, and I think every one got their gifts, it was a fun event for all who participated. 2k4 X-Mas was second best event I'd experienced. I was also participating in the big Secret Santa (40,000+ range). Well, when it came time to deliver the gifts, I think I got a pendant, horns, and penguins. Man was I relieved. I didn't have to get a gift. The guy had quit (Thank you again god).
Again, things settled down, until Lance decided to compete (last 10 days of Jan.) for a bronze bass'ken fishing trophy!! And He got it!! The next month, I found out all you had to do was stay in the top ten. I wasn't that bad at fishing, so I figured I would give it a go. Leti got into it to, and participated. Lance did it again, just for the hell of it. We all got our trophies!!
That leaves us at the beginning of March. Phew!!! Hectic few months!!! This month I went to James' gaian bday, Lance's wedding (the best man), and began to experiment with serious exchange whoring. Well, the month was over, which leaves me with two days to sum up. Pretty average.. Nothing Special.... I got My JU03 pants back, and a new JU03 shirt!!!!!!! W00t!!!
Well, there is the summary, thus far, of my gaian life. It just turned 11:00 PM in my time, leaving one hour until my rl bday!!! (if you are going to get technical, I was born at 2:08AM)
Thanks to who ever had read... Man this took a while to think back and jot down. Thanks again 3nodding

*music plays, and voice on the intercom calls "Thaxul, This is your Gaian Life" Thaxul enters, people cheer* xp
Anyways, my Gaian life started on August 19th 2004, the 882158th person to register on this site. I saw the link in somebodies sig in another forum I was very regular at, and I am still the top poster there to this day. I had just gotten broadband that summer, and i was addicted to the internet and needed something to do. I think I made my first post in the lotR subforum, I thouyght I knew alot about it, but I didn't really. I am still a regular today. The first item I bought was tan peasant booties. I quickly sold all my peasant stuffs to Ian, and bought the full skeleton suit. I remeber my first bluebox item, an arrow in the head. I knew about the exchange then and tried to sell it for 2.5k, thinking that the sellback of it was half the value. Nobody bought it, I finally lowered the price to 2k. and sold it, thinking I was in the big bucks.
My first prooper quest was for elven ears. Lol, they are only 4k but when you are a newb, you think thats alot. It took me quite a while to get them. Then I saw the golden laurels, they had been just released in the month of my joining, but I had no clue. I didn't even know what a Thank you Letter was. I got it, and thought I was the cheese. With my elven ears and golden laurels, and a lot of other cheap commons, no flame clothes, though. xd
Thinking I wanted to be and elf, I decided to quest for the musketeer stuff. Donating to Gaia and selling the letters was how I finished that. Before this, I started to regular at the exchange. I posted quite a bit in Leti's shop, while she was on a quest for 100 new EVIL members, so she invited me. I was number 50. I eventually decided to open a shop "The Elven Exchange". it was very unsuccessful, but in that shop I met two great friends, Lorien Luinwe, and MK. Leti made the banners. <3 It closed after reaching 100+ pages and only selling a few items.
In the first week of November, I quested for Horns of demon, they only cost 14k, and i got them in less than a week. I though that was a great accomplishment. rolleyes I Donated again in Novemeber, and sold the letters for some gold after I got the Horns. I don't even remember what I bought with that.
Christmas came, and I entered myself in the EVIL Secret Santa, it was quite successful, and a few more secret santas aswell. My best friend on Gaia, Lorien, gave me such a great present. Fairy Wings, plus other stuff. heart My first christmas on gaia, and someone gave me that! I was ecstatic!
In the new year, I decided to quest again. But this time for a bigger item, an Angelic Scarf. With alot of help from many people and a huge donation again from Lorien, I completed my quest within a month. It was at this time I learned the art of buying and selling. And I still try to do that now. I consider myself an exchange whore, but only on a small scale, and the exchange is still my home.
That's it, really. Nothing more to say. Hope you made it through that essay of typos and bad grammar. xp

When I joined, the first thing I noticed was the AFK for 20K. I began a quest two weeks hence, but I was terrible at earning gold, skipping from randome topics about the site because I didn't have a "home". I was noticed by Kirjava and asked to join her thread in the Entertainment fourm, and so the Anti-Fangirl Guild became my first home on Gaia.
I was very discoraged questing. I worked for hours on my quest with no progress. I gave up for awhile and use the gold I had stored to buy a Nightmare Scarf.
In April, my passion was revived, and I started over at 100g. Charities are a godsend, and with the hope of donations from about 30, I was able to put up and offer on the Nov. 'o3 hats in June of 'o4. I purchased my OMG for 125K in gold and items.
The Anti-Fangirl Guild eventually died, because all the fangirls that were our primary source of amusment got their own subfourm...and trying to reason with them just lost it's fun. I wandered about Gaia and eventually found the TV Anime fourm. I jumped in a thread entitled "Z.O.R.K Org", which turned out to be a Yuugiou discussion thread. The other users in said thread were very nice and I eventually got turned onto the series. That thrad is still active and the only one allowed the title of "Unofficial" under the new rules of TVA.
I traded my NM Scarf for an Angelic over the summer whee
In Sept. I decided on a whim to get an AFK. They had risin to about 200K by now, but I had enough in gold and items. I put my Scarf in the offer and was able to get my AFK. I now had both hats and was content for awhile. Around Oct. 'o4, I wanted my Scarf back, so I did some quick selling of Lab Coats and scored 150K from nothing. I was lent a NM Headband to throw in the offer by a good friend and had my Scarf within 4 days.
Now I just float about Gaia trying to be as helpful as possible. I began my Charity in June as a way to "pay it forward" due to all the people that had assisted me when I was new. We have donated to over 50 persons since : 3
I haven't done any large-scale xchange whoring in awhile. I'm looking for ny next quest to be a Jacked Up shirt...just because they're good items. I hope some Evil members drop by for a chat 3nodding heart

to make a long story short 2 pink links 2 trunks no charity about 10 freinds VJ is my best gaian freind Well the completeness almost since Im bored, here goes: I started being friends with Mike (Jello) way back a long time ago, and the beginning of this year I saw mike playing on gaia, I thought it was for fags. Then I got onto it and I started to like it, then I started getting on a lot, then I quit for a while, then I was on a lot. The first guild that I joined was Inuyasha-A new beginning guild. Then Mike referred me to Evil(the first month That I was on gaia). since then I have reffered a lot of people to gaia(about 5). The sad part, I do not have a credit card, nor do my parents so I have only gotten 2 donation Items the whole time that I have been on Gaia, whitch I got from Mike on halloween for giving him $2.00 on halloween. the item: Ice gauntlets. I would love to do lottos but all there is nowadays is big giant ones.

Let's see...I found out about Gaia on a NeoPets forum *hides* sweatdrop and checked it out two days later. I officially joined on January 11 of this year. I took about a week to read through all the rules and get a good idea of what the site was about before I started actually doing anything besides asking questions.
The first thing I bought was a trade pass and a store in the marketplace, then I joined a guild that didn't have a membership fee. I met a lot of nice people there. It's not full of folks as literate as the ones here, and most of them are a bit younger than I'd prefer to hang with, but they're good hearted people and so I've stayed.
I discovered donation letters almost immediately and applied my RL entertainment budget to buying as many as possible so I could start collecting stuff...ya, I have the 'collector gene' in me somewhere. whee Up to now, I've only bought things for my collections or store items/rares/uncommons that I find reeeeeally cheap in the marketplace. I also make gold by buying stuff that's at a good price and re-selling. At first I used to poll for gold a lot too in Chatterbox. Every once in a while, I splurge on something for my avie, I love putting him in nutty outfits. 3nodding I definitely splurged on my home, got all basics in so that I can add new stuff and upgrades as things are released.
Mostly, I hang out in the two guilds I'm in, and in the GAIA Commerce forum when I have a lot of duplicates or things I want to trade. I have a personal test thread in the Test forum, and I still visit Chatterbox on occasion. I poke my nose into the General and Extended Discussion forums every once in a while when I have time but the Anti- threads tend to get on my nerves. I wish people could just learn to get along...but that's another rant. I'm thinking of opening up a guild of my own soon just for fun, but RL needs to calm down for me a bit first so I have time to manage it.
I've gotten a few BB's, PL's, and trunks, wish I'd kept count, sad and I got my first PB a few days ago (Yay me!). xp I use my Journal mostly as a place to store the art I've made for friends and myself, but have started adding some more random things to it recently. I really need to make some quest art for myslef. Who knows, I might get lucky and isnpire some donations. 4laugh
My collector instincts pointed me to the E.V.I.L. Price Guide within my second week of being here. It's my favorite one of all of them. After recently reporting a typo I found on the price guide to Senbei Reloaded, Araunah invited me to join the guild, and well...here I am...and that pretty much puts me up to date. cool

Don't worry, Vahrley! I think a lot of us were Neopet-Users before this! xp
Well lets see... *starts having flashbacks*
I used to be on Neopets. But I didn't care much for the whole Pet and Item thing, since it was kind of outdated. But I did hang out with my friends in a Gundam Guild, and we all just chatted about stuff, mostly in the same was as EVIL; post once, come back later for replies. cool
One day, one of my friends in the Guild, Chase, told us all about Gaia Online. Most of us made accounts on it, and ditched the Guild. (The Guild was being filled with n00bs who would spam it by then. We needed a new home. crying )
We all exchanged Gaia UserNames so we could PM eachother. Right when I joined, I was suprisingly getting a lot of PinkLinks and Enchanted Trunks, so I assumed it's what usually happens to newbs. sweatdrop
I'd used all this gold to buy myself some cheap, but reasonable cloth, and I saw Chase with no cloth, so I donated him a few Donation Letters and some Commons.
Unfortunately, he didn't know what a Price Guide was, so he sold them for about 1/3 their value. *dies*
I was very upset that no one in that thread had warned him about his Under-Pricing, and they all were just trying to post "SEND TRADE!!!" as fast as possible, trying to get a good deal.
Anyways, I was still a n00b back then, so I hung out in the Chatterbox. I still acted pretty immature back then as well. I posted this really long paragraph in the Chatterbox hoping that longer posts would get me more gold. X.X;
I stopped after the first 20 times doing it. sweatdrop
I started seeing other n00bs use it as well. This becomes essential later in the story.
At around October, I had learned of EVIL. I was to scared to join since I saw that everyone in it had large, expensive items, and I wasn't wearing anything good.
I stalked EVIL while I worked on a Quest I had. I wanted the NiteMare Scarf so badly because it was;
A) Shaped Like a Wing B) Looked like a red scarf I have in real life that was ripped and torn that I wore every since I was little.
I started to see an Avatar Art Contest in EVIL. 2nd Prize; a Dec. '03 Letter. eek I was over convident and over-my-self thinking that I was the best artist in EVIL, and I automatically entered.
I drew DLASTBIRD for about a week, only to find out that I was suppossed to draw EVERYONE in the picture! gonk
It wasn't a very good drawing now that I look back on it, but I wasn't so modest back then. I spent the next week left of the Contest to work on another EVIL picture. I had an EVIL Pool Theme just wanting to come out of my head, so I tried it. I finished it (or felt I did) on Friday. The Artwork was due on Sunday, 11:59pm.
I felt that it needed color, and back then I didn't know what/how to CG Color, so I used Colored Pencils. sweatdrop And I wasn't very good with coloring. xp
It was Sunday Evening.
I was about to send it in, when I noticed that there were 2 other people on the Reference Image that I didn't see.
Those people were actually Araunah and Big_E. xp I quickly doodled them into the background.
I tried to scan it, but the scanner wasn't working. gonk I had 30 Minutes left before the deadline. gonk
I scanned it by 11:50pm and I quickly logged onto Photobucket. I tried sending it in, but Photobucket wasn't behaving well. crying
I finally got it uploaded at around 12:02 or so, according to the Digital CLock on my computer. I was hoping that the clock was 5 minutes behind, and sent in the image to DLASTBIRD.
He told me that I had won 2nd Prize because out of about 8 people, only me and Letolas Reloaded Entered. I looked at her image, and it was a LOT better than mine. DLASTBIRD had said that the Judges were going to disqualify my entry because it broke the rules. I didn't know what rules I had broken, and kept checking the rules and what I did. I was assuming that I had broken the "11:59pm NO EXCEPTIONS!"
DLASTBIRD was kind, though and gave me the Letter. You'd think I would of been jumping out of the window with happiness, but frankly; I wasn't. It just didn't feel right that I won this because no one else entered, and the judges wanted to disqualify me. I offered to give it back since it didn't feel earned, but DLASTBIRD told me to keep it.
Anyways, after that, I didn't feel as much pride as I thought I would while wearing the Scarf, but I did anyway.
In the middle of November, I finallly brought up some courage and joined EVIL. I was welcomed more than I thought I would be, and I was very pleased.
Now for the Avatar Editing portion. It started in July. My computer had a free, very cheezy Art Program. I was exchanging conversation with a really good Avi Editer named picc, and after I made my first Avi Edit, he liked it, and said that I should open up a MiniShop working from that and I could make a slight profit from it.
I took his advice. I noticed that his, and a lot of other Avi Edit Shops, sold pre-made items. I wanted to get more business, and also be unique, so I started the "Custom Shop". It was where I basically did anything the person wanted me to make.
I priced these at about 250 in Gold. I got SO many n00bs coming in, you'd think they were dogs who just smelled meat! gonk xd
I closed down the Custom Shop due to the over-population of n00bs, and planned to Re-Open it someday.
Around December, I did. It was the Renovated, Custom Shop V2.0.
I had been working on a system of pricing that would attract less n00bs, but still let both rich and poor Gaians get an Edit.
IT turned out that my schedule was bigger and tighter than I expected, and instead of taking 2 days to make an Edit, it would take 2 months! eek
All this stress of people PMing me asking when their order would be done, and my grades slowly dropping, had a major impact on my health. My Intestines have some weird problem, where they squeeze up really tight everytime I either think to hard, or I have to much excitement; whether it's good or bad excitement. u_u
I had to drop most orders, and my activities on Gaia HAD to slow down if I were to recover.
For the rest of my time on Gaia, I hanged out in my friend's Threads, like Xeroxer's, and also in the Exchange. I had a strange new interest in the Exchange. o.0
Anyways, one day (about a month ago, if I'm not mistaken) I got curious as to what the stickies were in the Chatterbox, and how many Mods were for that Forum. I assumed that most would be horrified of it, so I was very curious.
Remember that long, Bump Messege I made earlier? Well apparantly, 5 months later, it's being copy and pasted 5 times into 1 post, and it says "Post this to get 14 GOld!"
I was petrified! What had I created?!?!? gonk
The stickies in the Chatterbox even had it in small text, warning Users not to use it.
Besides that, I was Quest-Less. I tried starting a Quest for Every Item on Gaia, but it ended up Unsuccessful. xp
I decided to Quest for the OMG Hat, AFK Hat, and ANgelic Scarf, since I knew I wouldn't need to quest for anything above it. These were the items I wanted the most.
I planned on donating 1k a week to people I found Hard at Questing with complete faith in themselves, or a Gaian that's given back to the Gaian Comunity.
Their values were rising faster than I could keep up with, so I quit the Quest. I've always been completely against Quitting a quest, but it just seemed impossible.
Now, I donate 1k a week to people. I've been bombarded with my share of AIMs and n00b PMs, but I've been able to deal with them. Most of them are actually morons who think that I can't find their UserNames on Gaia, so I couldn't report them. Although I asked them why they were doing something that they thought they could be reported for.
I didn't know what to do with the Old Item List I made for the Every Item Quest, so even to this day, me and a friend are working on turning it into a Full-Fledged Item List. 3nodding
Everyone's criticizing this idea saying that it's just a GCG knock off, but I just always remember that this is the same heckling that EVIL received. 3nodding
Besides, GCG is very hard to Navigate, anyways! x.x;;
THank you to anyone who read this giant thing! xd
