It's more like an "H" and an "F" sound combined, so your making the "F" sound between your 2 lips instead of your lip and teeth. Kinda like "Hfuuma..." sweatdrop

If you want to be technical about it, there are several sounds in the Japanese language that are irregulars to the typical pattern -- take, for example, the K line = "ka ki ku ke ko." This is the expected. In the T line, there are two irregularities = "ta CHI TSU te to." Instead of ti and tu, which are not part of the Japanese linguistic sound system, they become chi and tsu. The S line has one irregular = "sa SHI su se so," shi instead of si. (All of these differences in pronunciation and sticking to the pattern make for lots of arguments in putting Japanese into a Roman alphabet. It's very annoying. In case anyone cares, I highly prefer the Hepburn system of chi, tsu, shi, and so on.) In the H line, what you're referring to with Fuuma, is "ha hi FU he ho." It's a softer F than our usual F in English... Kinda like their R is often a slide between L and R. Uh, yeah. I'm just a geeky Japanese major who took a linguistics class. *goes back to homework*
