ahh.. nothing screams at get togethers like halloween season does. the air is chill, the trees all half alive, and many many dark days ahead, followed by chilly winds and crunchy leaves to step on..
Kye was gently trotting past the stalls of this jolly nomadic herd of horses who just wanted to display their skills and shiny wares for a living at this massive gathering. she nodded her head politely at all the strangers wanting her attention but she kept moving on. She knew that despite all this- her second son, the younger one of the two brothers, Weasley, would always find his way back to her. they would part to go on with their own lives but now that she is completely free after such a long time of accountabilities and commitments, the spoopy mare could not feel happier and more wholesome
however, one of the stalls had an odd enticing appeal as she shuffled seven cards faced down like she was shuffling flat dark brown flat leaves. upon closer inspection, Kye noticed they were seven overworked worn-out cards...
oh so you're into tarot cards? mother? asked Weasley as he snakes around Kye and snuggled against her right side.he smiled as Kye gave him a surprised look. don't worry, i spotted you from miles away between this crowd mother. you are never hard to find. and he snuggled up closer placing a soft black feathery wing halfway over the mare's back to keep his old mother warm and cozy. let's see what the cards has to tell you
Looking at her son, she couldn't help but blush and smile at the same time. ohh you always know how to cheer an old mare up..
together they turned their heads and faced the mare in the stall, and Kye proceeded to pick out three cards in order as instructed: a card representing Kye's past, present, and future.
the mare of unknown identity and age placed the three cards in the center of her makeshift table and removed the other cards out of the way in a neatly stacked pile to her left.
my dear you are still young, and you -looking at Weasley- are just a baby. she giggled under her breathe and cleared her throat shortly afterwards.
making sure the three chosen cards are now the center of attention, she made sure that her two guests could hear and see her clearly along with the cards.
i will reveal the first card that delves into the past:-she flips it over and placed it upright-
The Wheel... hmm.. i see i see.. my dear, you may have experienced a change for better or worse... perhaps you felt like you have gone through the same events in many cycles. cycles of growth or death or repetitive tasks..the card is telling me that you met an inevitable fate you had to deal with... she smiled, not giving Kye any reactions of her own and tapped the card. it was giving her mixed vibes.
Kye listened carefully about what was said when the first card got turned over in upright position.. yes i have many of the same thoughts being played in my mind when when i had a mate for life. but he turned all cold and distant that i just broke the relationship with him.. then when i thought i found 'the one' again a few years later, he just left me a couple of months after i decided to commit to the relationship again. silly to think that i will be alright if i kept telling but in the end i just broke our relationship , a fate that was inevitable indeed.... and she remained quieti will reveal the second card that is of the current moment, the present time in which you are now in:-she flips it over and placed it upright-
The Lovers... oh this is a good one.. this card is telling me that you are trying to build relationships, duality, and union... being a fortune teller for so long the mare tilted her head sensing something was off about it and quietly whispered to herself without anyone being able to hear her..
this card is giving me bad vibes... she smiled again and tapped this card too to keep her readings in place, never wanting to show her opinions about the black and red mare standing in front of her.
i always do my best to build relationships based on trust and good feelings and avoid bad tempered companions. kye shifted closer to her son, this guy i really like he is my pride and joy and always smiles at me as we meet. unlike other stallions i have met... lastly, i will reveal the third card that ever so slightly went to see you in your distant future.. something of what has yet to happen:-she flips it over and placed it upright-
The Fool.. the fool.. the fool... this card represents innocence, new beginnings, and free spirit.. she smiled again and tapped this card. knowing that Kye will have a bright future ahead. she can really sense it out of this last drawn card. it was radiating positive vibes.
the fool... i am the fool. or well was. now that i have a clear vision of what i want to do and say, i feel like am a better being than i was in the past. i would love to start new beginnings with others. maybe perhaps i should start dating mares and see how that goes. she winked at Weasley and then winked at the tarot reading mare.both the tarot reader and Weasley had no idea if Kye really meant that or was only joking.
Weasley whinnied and then stomped his hooves at his mother.
well. you know what they say, mama. you can fool others but you cannot fool yourself.. as long as you are happy in the end then that's all that matters. i will be here for you until the end of time. with or without a partner of my own. i will support you all the way.now be free, both of you. the tarot reading mare bowed her head and shuffled the cards back into her deck. she secretly wished the mother and son all the best as they walked away to visit other stalls at this big gathering event.
