So, no need to go into details, but I'm stuck in a hotel bored out of my skull for a day or two, maybe up to a week depending on how bad things go. I had to pack and leave pretty quick so I got my laptop and clothes and stuff, y'know, the necessities, but I couldn't bring any of my yarn/hooks/needles/crafty stuff. So, barring a trip to Michael's that I really can't afford right now, I'm stuck here with no crocheting to keep me occupied, no cable, and slow wifi. So if anyone feels like talking to me and keeping me company I will love you forever. <3

That's harsh. I guess going back for your crafting essentials is out of the question as well? Bumber. I wish I could send you some stuff to work on.

You know you could get lost in Pinterest for a bit. That always take my mind off of everything. lol.

Yeah, going back for crafting stuff could result in a panic attack, so... yeah. Not something I want to deal with. Pinterest sounds like a good idea, though. And I'm catching up on my reading, so I suppose that's a good thing!

I've been reading my collection of Sherlock Holmes stories. I'm a big fan of the BBC series and since I've watched it all a million times I decided to actually read the source material. Kind of surprised to find that Watson and Holmes are just as obviously a couple in the books as they are in the show, lol.

There's definitely a connection there. Although, that closeness just goes so far. Holmes always pushes Watson to the brink.

Yeah, he definitely does. It always kind of depends on the adaptation as to whether or not they could ever work as an actual couple without breaking up every three days, lol. Poor Watson. He loves Sherlock, obviously, but mostly in the "he's my friend and I love him but goddamn sometimes I want to punch his face in" kind of way. Sherlock can be kind of an insufferable p***k at times. He just likes Sherlock enough that he goes back time and time again because as much as he hates him, he loves him just a bit more.

I'm a fan too! I like the Cumberbatch Freeman synergy. Very believable, and Watson did actually hit Sherlock. That was so funny, razz .

The other pair that meshed well was Jeremy Brett and Edward Hardwicke. The latter was a very good Watson too and Jeremy was definitely over the top dramatic.

A pleasure to meet a fellow fan. smile

I keep meaning to read those when I get time... I absolutely love Sherlock and the Sherlock Holmes movies that came out a few years ago, so I've been wanting to read the source material for forever.

Fun fact: Did you know that Sherlock Holmes actually inspired modern day forensics?

Exactly. lol. I know and he knows that Sherlock actually needs him. He's the only one to keep him sane.
