❧ HOW DO I GET A PET? By participating in games, events, customs, breedings, or being gifted a pet. We are constantly planning how to send out new pets, and newbies even can post here to try for a free pet!
❧ CAN WE GET A PET THROUGH IRL MEANS? No, nor are we considering ever allowing it.
❧ CAN WE CO-OWN? For the time being, no.
❧ HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE FOR A BELL/KIT TO GROW? If the colorist isn't bogged down with RL, it should only take 7 days between growths. That means a bell will remain a bell for 7 days, grow, and then remain a kit for 7 days before finally becoming an adult. Basically, it takes 2 weeks for a pet to be fully grown.
❧ CAN SAME-GENDERED PETS BREED? Absolutely! Babies aren't created the way humans create children, and pets do not become pregnant, so a surrogate is not needed (unless for your personal plot reasons!).
❧ HOW IS POLYGAMY SEEN? The shop completely supports if your pet wishes to have more than one mate, and will try its best to open breeding for polygamists at the same rate as any other breeding. A pet can have several mates, but just like any breeding every mate loses one breeding slot when the family successfully breeds. Currently, couples are limited to only having three Tales breed at once, just to make breeding easier. So, if a pairing as five mates, only three of them can produce children with their markings/colors. Of course, bribes are more lenient and can include as many mates colors/markings as you wish! There may be special breedings in the future that also allow more then three at a time to breed.
❧ HOW MANY TIMES CAN A PET BREED? Every pet, regardless if they have one mate or several, can only breed three times in their lifetime. Breedings with more than two pets will still cause every participant to lose a breeding slot.
❧ ARE PET TRADES ALLOWED? Depends on the colorist, honestly. The owner has no issue with it, as long as it isn't abused. Please PM the colorist you have in-mind and ask if they're open to the idea.
❧ ARE COSPLAYS LIMITED? Yes. Only one particular character can exist at one time. There cannot be two Naruto's, and there cannot be a male and female Naruto.

❧ O1 - - Abide by all of Gaia's ToS.
❧ O2 - - Be civil towards one another in-thread and the guild, whether or not you like a certain customer. This also means be civil to newbies, even if they ask a thousand and one questions. Be welcoming to newbies, as they help our shop grow.
❧ O3 - - Try to monitor how you speak. This means please refrain from chat speak or spamming the thread. If you feel like the thread is dead and needs life, start a conversation instead of simply saying 'bump'. Chatter is always loved in the shop!
❧ O4 - - While you are absolutely free to vent in-thread, please spoiler anything that could be triggering, as well as warn in red what the content may contain. This helps protect those who cannot handle certain topics, and helps you get the help you need!
❧ O5 - - If you believe there is an issue with another customer that a staff member must know about, or you're aware of another breaking the rules, please contact us at the main mule: Goddess Hayashi.
❧ O6 - - Refrain from begging or whining for a pet. We have plenty of events, and you will surely get a pet through the various means we have. However, if you're caught whining, staff will be less likely to grant you a pet. Good behavior is rewarded, bad behavior is absolutely not tolerated.
❧ O7 - - When you enter an event, game, or another service we provide there is a chance you'll lose. Should you lose, please remain a good-sport. There will be other chances! However, if you win, please refrain from excessively bragging.
❧ O8 - - Do not copy, steal, alter, or mimic any of the graphics used in this shop. This includes but is not limited to banners, pet lines, user-made content, and such. You may place pets you own or have permission to use in your signature, in banners, and such as long as you do not alter the lines.
❧ O9 - - All trades must be sent within 24 hours of acquiring a pet. Failure to do so may cause the staff who ran the game/event to re-roll for a new winner.
❧ 1O - - You may not use a mule to acquire more pets. If you are caught doing so you'll immediately be blacklisted.
❧ 11 - - Do not sell a pet you've received here. If you don't want a pet anymore, PM our mule, Goddess Hayashi, and we shall help rehome the pet.
❧ 12 - - When it comes to rehoming, we do have a thread to write a will in-case you leave. However, if you never made a will, or wish to rehome only a few pets, you must PM the mule and tell us exactly who you want to receive the pet. We will send the pet over with the mule. Rehoming without contacting the mule will not be official, and will result in us contacting both participants.
❧ 13 - - Our shop permits some things others does not, and if you have an issue with this please PM the mule instead of bringing it up in the thread. People do not always share the same views.

❧ O1 - - You need to own a pet here before you can roleplay. You may not borrow another person's pet, whether or not you have their permission.
❧ O2 - - Humans are not the only non-Tale creatures you can find within the many realms of Labyrinth. Mostly any creature you can dream of can be found in one of the realms.
❧ O3 - - RP is not required to keep your pet, ever. RP does permit extra babies in breedings, and perhaps other perks, but once you win a pet you are not obligated to RP it. A staff member cannot take a pet away for lack of RP.
❧ O4 - - Do not control another's fox, even if you are given permission.
❧ O5 - - When someone declines plots, RP, or a breeding that means no. Continuing to pester them will cause a staff member to intervene.
❧ O6 - - Evil characters are allowed, and loved! But, please refrain from RPing excessive violence in-guild, as it can trigger a customer or cause us to have issues with the Gaia ToS.
❧ O7 - - Certain things should never be RPed in public, whether in-thread or in-guild. This includes sexual violence, abuse, torture, and other grim topics. Death is permitted, as well as fighting, but please use common sense. If we catch an RP pertaining a subject we do not permit we will delete the RP without warning and contact the participants.
❧ O8 - - Plots pertaining to rape is not permitted. We are a very loose shop that allows a lot, except that. If we see in your plot thread you seeking a plot related to it, or the act being documented in your journal we will ask you to remove it. Backstories with this event in it will also be asked to be edited.

Long ago there was a little girl and a Goddess. The little girl was terminally ill, and had requested to visit her favorite forest every day before she'd be hospitalized. Granting her wish, her parents would rest by a pond while their only daughter frolicked. What they didn't know was that she had met a forest Goddess, who was still fairly young for her age.
The Goddess and the child exchanged stories everyday. The Goddess had promised to tell the child stories of other worlds if the child taught her about the world they currently resided in, as the Goddess did not know much of the child's home. For weeks they'd meet, exchanging stories and enjoying one another's company. Presents were often exchanged, however the one the Goddess cherished the most was a small bell necklace handed to her by the tiny child. Months passed and the two fell into a happy pattern of meeting within the forest and chattering away until nightfall. It wasn't to last forever. The child eventually took a turn for the worst and ceased her visits. Within a week she perished at the hospital, unable to say goodbye to her friend.
The Goddess learned of the news much later, and her heart smashed into pieces. Overwhelmed with a grief she wasn't used to, the Goddess hid herself away from any living soul. Loneliness took over, and so she turned to the bell necklace given to her. Blessing it with life, she was delighted when a small creature rolled out of the bell a week later. The creature reminded her of one of the child's favorite protagonists in a story, and immediately she was inspired to create her own world in memory of the small girl.
And so Labyrinth was born. Named for its many realms linked by their gates, each realm was unique. She created the Tales; creatures born from the dreams and stories of living creatures from the child's world and manifesting into tiny little bells before becoming living and breathing beings. Shortly after, she requested the aid of two other deities to help monitor the world.
Once her job was done, the Goddess hid herself within her own small realm and locked the gate. Ever since she has not been seen. She keeps an eye on Labyrinth from afar, ensuring that the Tales find their own way without her intervention.

Labyrinth is a giant world that is ever-expanding. While it has a center – where a few main portals exist that either lead to other portals or other realms – no one really knows how big the world is, other than the fact new realms are constantly being discovered and created.
To enter a realm, one must first find the gate. There are several types of gates, such as: gates, doors, caves, mirrors, and more. Entering a gate will take you to a location that can only be accessed by going through the realm's gate. Each realm is unique, and while some may contain similarities, none are exactly the same. Some realms are covered completely in water. Others are ablaze. If you can dream of it then the realm exists.
A few realms are controlled by tribes, clans, or other types of groups. Enter a new realm cautiously, as you may be met with a hostile face. Not all groups are hostile to newcomers, however it isn't unheard of for fights to break out over intruders approaching a realm they don't belong to.
In addition, realms can be created if a character finds an un-opened gate, which spawn randomly and often. More can be discovered in the guild.

Baby Tales start their lives off as bells. Created from a dream or story from a living being in another world entirely, they are granted life within Labyrinth. Parents skip pregnancy, instead blessed by the fertility Goddess Aii with bells over-night. Not all bells are the result of happy lifemates. Sometimes, Aii feels a bit mischievous and will grant random Tales babies. Bells start off cold and non-moving, but as time goes on they'll begin to occasionally wiggle or chime, as well as grow warmer each day. When they suddenly begin to frantically roll about and noisily chime it's time for them to pop! Parents must gently shake their bell for the babies to suddenly break free from their prison.
❧ xxx It takes 7 days for bells to grow.
Kits are adorable, lets face it. They're often busy doing, well, y'know, kit things. They don't have much responsibilities, and they're the equivalent of a child for humans.
❧ xxx It takes 7 days for kits to grow.
So the baby Tale finally grew up and is now ready to cause havoc and mayhem. Not all adults look the same; in fact, there are several different variants of Tales to be found. Adults can now find their own life, whatever that means.
❧ xxx Unless becoming commander of a group/tribe, this is the final stage for Tales.
It seems that leadership has fallen upon the Tale's paws, and they now run a realm and have a following. Blessed with a bigger, better, and stronger body, Elders command the most respect out of other Tale's.
❧ xxx This is the final stage.
Deities are the most powerful creature. They are guardians of whatever domain they are assigned to. They can move freely between realms, ignoring if some are owned by different tribes or not. They also are born with several powers related to their domain. Deities are not to be messed with, and should be treated with the utmost respect.
❧ xxx This is the only stage for Deities.

Not all Tale's are the same. Actually, just as there are many realms, there are many variants! Some Tale's are aquatic in nature, while others have thick fur for the cold. Either way, there are hundreds of different types of Tale's, and we've only discovered a few!

Some Tales don't like living alone and will form tribes or packs. Tribes often dominate one realm and typically are run by one or two Elders. However, it isn't that easy to create your own tribe. First, several foxes need to agree on who leads the group as well as their culture, habitat, and tribe name. Then, a tribe must pray to Goddess Hayashi and hope she ascends the leader into Elder status and blesses the tribe. Should she reject the tribe, they may either try again later or disband. A tribe cannot rule a realm without being properly accepted. Without the blessing of Hayashi, a tribe has absolutely no power over the land.

Labyrinth is ruled by three higher beings: Goddess Hayashi, Goddess Aii, and God Shi. While none of the God/desses make a habit of appearing before the Tales, their influence can clearly be felt. There is absolutely no doubt they exist, as they've made themselves known several times. Without them breedings, death, and the realms would not exist or function. While they work together, they don't necessarily always agree with one another. However, they're a well working team, even if their personalities greatly vary.
Goddess Hayashi was the main creator of Labyrinth, as well as the first official higher being. While she has actually never once been seen by anyone other then the God/desses, she has been heard. She typically limits herself to approving tribes and ascending Tales into elders, but has been known to intervene briefly with matters she doesn't agree with. While young, Hayashi refrains herself from influencing Labyrinth too much. Wars may happen and danger lurks, but Hayashi stays neutral. She firmly believes it is not her job to govern the world, and while she disagrees with plenty she won't act on her feelings unless there's a threat the danger may eliminate all Tales.
❧ xxx Goddess Hayashi is used to post notices in-thread from the shop owner, as well as to post approvals for tribes. The mule has other uses primarily made for the shop owner.
Goddess Aii is the youngest member of the trio, and it shows. While she primarily is the fertility goddess, she has been known to happily cause mischief when she can. She doesn't limit herself to blessing couples in love like she should, either. She's been known to randomly bless those who have one night stands, or even just descending and creating children between complete strangers. Typically, she gets in trouble for blessing strangers with kids, so it doesn't happen often. She's also at fault for children created around holidays having strange mutations. She claims it's more "interesting" that way.
❧ xxx Goddess Aii! is used to post drop-offs, whether a breeding or not.
God Shi is the messenger, as well as the one who spawns realm gates. He's the most vocal higher being, if a bit grumpy. Shi is the one who rarely answer prayers with some advice, or leads Tales towards empty realm gates. He's a big grump, though, and has no issue encouraging Tales to behave inappropriately. The only reason he is here is because he lost a game of poker with Hayashi, and he absolutely despises his job. Occasionally he will even lead Tales to harming other creatures for his amusement.
❧ xxx God Shi is the staff mule. He's used to post notices from all of staff as well as staff announcements.

Flatsales are not common in Labyrinth, mostly because speed-focused games aren't heavily encouraged. Flaffles are much more likely, and often happen at least once a month. Flaffles are when a group of pets are put up, and users can post asking for a ticket. Once the end date arrives, all the tickets are piled up and winners are RNGed. Usually, Flaffles are free.
Auctions are not a high priority, but when they occur they often are for rarer breeds or for a special pet. Those who bid the most amount of gold will win the prize.
Raffles happen when colorists have the time. They're less of a priority then the free events. Pets are put up as a group and users can purchase tickets to be entered for the raffle. At the end date, the winners are RNGed.
The shop will try to open several games throughout each month. Primarily, games are run by the staff, however customers are allowed to game off extra bells or rehome pets they own through a contest.
Customs are a high priority for the shop. Customers can enter customs when they are open and request an exact idea for a pet. If a colorist likes the idea, they'll accept the custom and receive payment.
Breedings are a very high priority for the shop. Customers can enter lifemated or non-lifemated couples into breedings and hope Goddess Aii blesses them with bells. Colorists can CC or RNG winners.
Bribes are purposefully a rare occurrence. Typically, a colorist is allowed to open bribes once every six months. Customers can try and offer x amount of gold to a colorist in exchange for a service normally difficult or even impossible to receive. It is the colorist's choice what bribes to pick.

Bells aren't always planned for, but they require lots of care. While it's true a bell can technically hatch without a parent, typically they are raised by one or more parents. Breedings are opened frequently, and when they are they'll be announced in-thread for customers to see. Not all breedings will be the same, and certain colorists can't do what others can. There are perks and limits to breedings, as well as a limit to how many a month you can win.

Want that perfect pet that just can't be found in games or contests? Well, we want to make that for you! When customs are open staff will announce it in-thread. Customs are a chance for a customer to request as much or as little as they want on a pet of their choosing. Colorists all have different talents, and not all can do what the others can. However, we'll try our hardest to ensure you are satisfied.
