Personality: He is a generally serious person. He has a great sense of justice about him. He can be rather cruel to anyone who questions his authority. This does not mean he will snap out at someone who has a better idea. He just wants obedience within the ranks is all, much like a military general.
History:
Matsuo was born in raised in the district of Zaraki, being one of the most lawless districts he had to fend for himself most of his life. After a while he was brought in by a man named Zaraki Kenpachi, oddly enough. After years of training with him and Yarichu he went on to become a captain. After seeing Yamamoto's old and senile ways begin to destroy the soul society he trained to perfect his own bankai. One day he confronted the old man and a battle ensued, nearly destroying half of the serietei due to their battle. Matsuo emerged victorious,and rightfully assumed his position of head captain....... Natural Abilites/ Training
Due to being the head captain he is the strongest in the soul society. Being as fast, if not faster than most captains. Due to his own zanpakuto and his battle with Yamamoto, he is immune to fire and heat based attacks.
He has a Reitsu limiter in the form of a tattoo on his right arm, suppressing his reitsu to the point to where he is around a weak captain level. It glows red when released.

Shikai Description:
His blade is engulfed in a blood red energy that is extremely hot. How hot it is exactly is unknown. But it is hot enough to melt most any kind of steel. Anyone who gets within a five foot radius of this energy will feel the intense heat from it.
Shikai Ability:
His first shikai ability is production and manipulation of a red hot energy. This energy cannot be absorbed. He directs this energy with his zanpakuto. ((this ability is described in the description as well))
The Second ability is absorbing the energy, causing his body to glow red hot. He looses the first ability but gains speed and strength in the process. Also his body is superheated as well, making his body like a massive oven.

He seemingly retains his shikai abilites, being able to use the energy from his blade and becoming superheated, along with augmented speed and strength greater than his shikai.
His second bankai ability has never been seen. He concentrates all his energy into his blade making it glow white hot, even in this state Matsuo seems affected by the amount of heat it puts off. He gains white wings, similar to Byakuya's last resort. It is unknown weather or not this can kill him or not.
