Not the media like the news... just TV in general.
Ok so I saw this commercial about all these ladies going clubbing. And when they get out of the car they are all PREGNANT.... IT WAS GROSS they were all dressed sexy like and stuff....
Then I was watching some Detective TV show.... and this cop is talking to the mother of someone who has just been murdered..... and well here is the rough sketch of the Dialog
Mother:"Do you have kids?"
Cop:"No"
Mother:"Then I won't even try to explain it to you"
The worst part was the mom was all condescending sounding and looking.... GOD I HATE THAT!!!!
I don't know, it was just something that pisses me off....
Anyway, I realized that is the way people treat us child-free indaviduals.... So I wonder why is the world like this.... I am pointing towards the 50's... but I am not sure.

I still shudder whenever I see that first commercial. If I ever ran across a scene like that in real life, I'd probably find it rather difficult to mask my utter revulsion. gonk
As for the detective show, that reminds me of something a character said in a manga I was reading once. The exchange took place during a fight scene, and went something like this:
Fighter 1: "I want to ask you something. Do you have children?"
Fighter 2 (who was something of a main character) : "I'm an android, you idiot! Of course I don't have kids!"
Fighter 1: "I see...then nobody will care if I kill you!"
...seriously, what the ********? A person's life is meaningless unless they have parasites leeching off them for 18+ years? confused I almost didn't buy the next volume due to crap like that, but then again that particular volume was something of a low point in the series.
But you know what? To hell with people like that. Let them be overstressed and overworked, trying to provide for their "oh, so precious" darlings, while the rest of us enjoy our free time, our earnings, and our lives, as we laugh at them. ^^

And they are trying to manipulate you into being miserable with them.
I can't wait til my siblings have kids..... cause I KNOW my mom will contact me.... and I will make a short trip to the hospital to tell them "I want nothing to do with these leeches".... that is the general gist... I will have a whole list of things....
Gahhhh... I mean I just hate it when people are condescending to me in a stupid manner like that. I mean my CS professor is condescending to me when I am making stupid mistakes... but he has a Docterate in CS. So he knows he is smarter than an undergrad. But these people.... ggggggg stressed especially the students who have kids..... they are all mean to me when I start pointing out how children are not a leech... I cannot wait til some woman comes up to me and tries to tell me a baby is a "Symboitic" thing not a "Parasite"

Was that Crossing Jordan? I know the one of the main character's daughter got kidnapped and another person's got killed, so that might've been it.
If you write "ladies going clubbing" as "clubbing pregnant ladies", it will make you happy.
Pregnancy test commercials piss me off. The "It's how I knew... [insert positive change here]" ones. Why isn't it ever "It's how I knew... to set up an appointment with Planned Parenthood."? Or, "It's how I knew... he poked a hole in the condom."?

I would write it like that... it just loses its effect
GAHHHHHH NOT THOSE.... I hate those even more... but if you look at the people in the commercials... they are all well to do happy family like people.... but those lines are good... what about "It is how I knew we could never afford a good vacation ever again"?

Anyhoo, I thought of another offender: Welch's Grapejuice. I don't give a ******** if their target audience is children, they are still annoying. They have these five-six year old kids on the commercial talking about how wonderful the juice is, and they all sound like they have speech impediments. They should know how to speak by that age, 'ya know.

I really detest those new Wonderbread commercials too. If one kid wasn't bad enough but twins. x.x Plus they play practically nonstop on CTV now.
The most atrociuos of commercials though has to be those huggies ones where they talk for the bloody babies. I have to leave the room during those. ._.
Seeing a pregnant woman's stomach makes me throw up a little in my mouth.

The only thing that entertains me about the commercials is the fact that the baby never gets anything. He is always deined the sub.
Ahhh I have seen the Battle Angel OVA. I am still working on finding the Manga.
