Amaya desperately tried to keep her hair in place as she walked back to the kitchen carrying an armfull of dinner plates. Beads of sweat formed on her forehead when she confronted the towering dishwasher, most commonly known as "Plate Hell". Wiping her damp forehead with one part of her sleeve that wasn't wet or dirty, she trudged back in the restaurant to gather the eviscerated remains of a gourmet dinner and tried not to hear a drunkard's comment about her derriere.
She hated weekends. It was the time for decent human beings to shed their civility for sake and other intoxicating muses. Where the beasts came out to prey on the innocent only to become humans once more after Sunday's moon has set. She longed for her abandoned sketching coal and a blank slate. Her fingers were twitching, evident of her daydreaming fantasy.
It may not seem to be a good idea to be fantasizing at the moment, for she was carrying a tray of a pitcher and glasses and thus her involuntary movements caused the whole tray to topple over, leaving her dazed and momentarily doused with water and glass fragments.
I hate weekends... she thought.
