It is mid December now. The days are short and growing shorter. This is the time of year that my people used to have absolute power over. A powerful race. A mighty people. We are very few now, almost extinct. Most of the elders among us say that it is the way of things. They say that it is time for others to rule. They do not want us to fight our fate. And who will rule then? The humans? They are sheep. Sheep need shepherds. The oldest among us does not agree with them. They do not want us to reproduce. In any way. This can't be the way things are meant to be. I will not have it end this way. I wont. I may not have been around to have experienced what the world was like at the height of our power but I have dreamed of it. He has shown me the past in the world of my dreams. The glory I have beheld is beyond what mere words can describe, Such glory has not existed for far too long. I will do everything within my power to see that such glory exists again. Few that we now are, we will rise and rule again.

Bio/History: Natala was the last vampire born before the old ones but upon their own race a ban on reproduction. Natala was only ten when both of her parents were killed in the last uprising against their kind. Her own mind has blocked out that time in her life to safeguard her own sanity. The servants left in her family's castle raised her, still loyal to the masters they served their entire life. Grown now, Natala is restless and rebelios. She craves to restore her people to their proper place in the world. Gaia name: Eviemar Lionheart Character name: Alina Ashakal Age: Ancient Race: Vampire Appearance: [X]Weapons: Carries no visible weapons. Bio/History: Alina is the second of the two oldest vampires and the first female of their kind. She is also a Seer and empath. Her powers being what they are and her mind in the condition it is in, she can have a rather bloody violent streak. Her family was once one of the most powerful. Alina watched with wrath as the Ashakal family fell apart, leaving only her in the end. Then she had a vision. A small glimpse into the future. Telling none of her vision, she took her most loyal servants and laid herself to rest. To wait. After hiding her and her resting place from all knowledge, her servants faithfully ended their own lives. Her peaceful slumber is now disturbed. When their parents and brother were killed, Frisin protected her from it by not allowing her near them in death or even the place where they were killed. He has always watched out for her and she takes care of him. She is rather quiet and submissive but sometimes strict and motherly towards her twin and others close to her. Gaia name: Eviemar Lionheart Name: LiNeeerafae Kilndar Gender: Female Race: Drow Age: Unknown, appears to be in her early twenties. Height: 5'4" Eye color: Silver Armor: Drow made armor and drow chainmail. Appearance: LiNWeapons: Dual scimitars, throwing daggers, throwing spiders, priestess whip. Bio/History: LiNeeerafae appears cold and distant, unattached to her feelings. This is not true, but growing up with the drow, she learned to act. She is somewhat cold and will let nothing come between her and her mission's goal. LiNeeerafae was born the fifth daughter of a drow Matron. She had no name, learning as she grew that as fifth surviving daughter her mother expected that she earn a name, a title. She was trained as a priestess once she was old enough. As she was trained as a priestess, she also learned the ways of the warrior from her older brother. Once she finished her schooling, her mother gave her her brother as a guard while she sent LiNeeerafae to be trained as a mage in secret. She learned quickly and once her schooling was done once more, she earned her name. With only her brother at her side, she eliminated an entire lower house who had no favor with the Spider Queen. Due to some incidents, which she keeps to herself, she was forced to leave her home. She still has some contact with her older brother, though it is rare and done in secret. LiNeeerafae has been with Angelo's family since before his birth. They were the first surface dwellers she came in contact with after she fled from her home. She was taken in and nursed back to health. Since then, she has served them with a fierce loyalty that never waivers. Never. The village had taken in two strangers, twins, during a snow storm. Not long after, the village was attacked by what seemed to be men. The entire town was burned to the ground. She had been with the woman, Drisa, when it started. Drisa's twin, Frisin, rushed in and spirited them away with inhuman speed. The twins are werewolves and she has now been traveling with them for a few weeks.

Male Characters Gaia name: Adrian Fahrenheit Tepes Character name: Angelo Age: 5000 Race: Vampire Appearance: [X]Weapons: Sword Bio/History: Angelo is a very old vampire, but does not nesscessarily agree with the old ones. He sees their point but thinks it foolish, for in his mind the only thing that matters is power, those that have should rule those without it. He is the greatest swordsman among his kind, better with a blade than even the first of his kind. He craves only power and will do anything to increase his own, but for now he is smiply watching events unfold, interjecting himself when he sees fit. Gaia username: Eviemar Lionheart Character name: Frisin Age: Looks 23 Race: Werewolf Appearance: Human WolfBio/History: Frisin is the twin brother of Drisa. Their parents and younger brother were killed. Frisin found their bodies. Without his sister, he would most likely be overcome by madness. He believes strongly in being faithful for those you care about and can not stand betrayal. Gaia name: Adrian Fahrenheit Tepes Character name: Adrian Age: 4000 Race: Vampire Appearance:[X]Weapons: Sword Bio/History: Adrian is Angelo's younger brother, although to see the two interact you would assume the reverse. Where Angelo is quick tempered and impatient, Adrian is calm and calculating. He also opposes the decree of no longer reproducing, and believes his people should stop at nothing to reclaim their former glory. If he were to have a weakness, it would be the drow woman that serves his family.

Natala shoves her servants out of the way, excitement burning in her amber eyes. Delicate fingers glide over the sarcofafix her faithful servants have dug up. A smile curves her blood red lips. This is it. This is what she has been searching for. Lifting the lid with strength her body doesn't seem capable of, she sets it aside and peers down at the slumbering woman. Another smile curves her lips. "Alina. Finally, I have found you." Her voice is soft and seems to rub against the skin like velvet. She has yet to discover the secret to awaking the ancient one she has now found, but that does not damped her excitement. Amber eyes shift to those around her. They are human and decendents of those who have served her family for countless generations. "You have all done well. Let us go home." She assists them in getting the sarcophafix into her carriage before putting the lid back on. Climbing in, her party start for home.
LiNeeerafae lounges on a decorative ledge over Angelo. She has left her silver hair loose to cascade over the ledge. Silver eyes watch the vampire for a silent moment before she speaks to make her presence known. "I found Lady Natala this evening. I have discovered her secret." Her voice is musical and enchanting.

Angelo doesn't look up from the task of polishing his sword as he hears the drow's voice drift down to him. "Really, and what has our little rebel been up to this night?" He asked softly as he slowly slid his blade back into it's sheath.
Adrian closes the door to his secret chambers silently. He has been working for three days straight with no breaks. He is hard at work trying to discover the reason for his peoples decline, and a possible cure should it ever happen again. He enters the sitting room in time to hear LiN's words to his brother. He takes a seat with a slight nod to his elder brother and flashes a small smile up to the drow before looking out at the moon, but still listening intently.

LiN's silver eyes pause on Adrian for a moment. The smile had been for her. Her eyes return to the elder brother. "The baby rebel has been searching for something. She and some of her servants were digging tonight. By their slow pace and the fact they are obviously headed home, I would say that she has found what she was searching for." A small flame of anger enters her silver eyes. With the power Natala posses and the fact she is favored by the rebels, she could not get close enough to see what was dug up. She would have been detected and a fight would have broke out. LiN would have been forced to badly wound or kill the young vampire. Her masters would not have approved. A small smile curves her lips as she watches Angelo's form to see how he reacts to her next bit of news. "Also, my lord, there are two puppies moving about your territory. They have a sheep with them."

Angelo grins and slowly stands popping his neck as he stretches his arms. "Intersting, I believe I know what it is she has found, or rather who she has found." He looks from his brother and back to the drow. "Adrian if you do not mind I would like you and LiN to go greet our new pets to be, and do as you wish with the human, I would suggest feeding on as I know you haven't been outside the manor in days. I am going to go speak with Natala." And with that he was gone, seeming to simply vanish he moved so quickly.
Adrian nodded as he slowly stood from his seat at the window, not bothering to turn as he felt his brother leave. He instead looked up at the drow woman and offered his arm in his gentlemanly way. "Well then my dear shall we?" He asked her softly suppressing the urge to give her another smile.

LiN sits up and slides off the decorative ledge. Using her inate abilities, she levitates down to the floor, landing on her feet without a sound. Now that Angelo has mentioned it, Adrian does look as though he could use a good feeding. She looks at his arm for a moment before taking it. It could slow her raction time, but it may also be worth it. "The male pup is off hunting. He left the two women at a small camp they have made for the night. We should have the element of surprise."
Natala is growing restless. With the added weight of their precious cargo, they are moving much slower than she would like. She can sense someone coming and it does nothing to settle her nerves. She has acted in secret for years to find Alina. Now that she has done so, she feels trouble may come her way.

He nods in agreement letting her lead the way. "Well then let us move quickly." He replied the thirst starting to build as he had been ignroing it for the sake of his research for far too long. He lets his senses expand as they moved making sure he was aware at all times of everything around them.
Angelo moved as fast as he could seeming to simply appear from thin air in front of the cart. "Well hello there my dear Natala, and how are you this fine evening?" He asked casually as he eyed the people around them before letting his eyes settle on the cart and it's cargo.

LiN's movements are swift and silent. Her people are made for such things. It doesn't take her long to navigate to a small camp within the woods near the manor. The camp is in a small clearing. There is only one tent a fire is burning.
"Mal-"
Before the blind woman can finish saying her name, Malia has spun around. Sword unsheathed, she faces the end of the clearing where two darker shadows stand. They were not there before. Her violet eyes burn with an inner light and power. A power she was never taught to properly tap into. "Show yourselves. Now."
Natala knows that voice. Opening the door to her carriage, she steps out, closing it behind herself. He may not be on the side of the elders, but she knows Angelo likes power. "Lord Angelo. To what do we owe the honor of your presence this evening?"

Adrian moves swiftly through the darkness he makes a small gesture with his hand and a large swarm of bats burst from the trees swarming the human girl's face as he comes up from behind her. He aims a quick slap at the hand holding her sword intending to disarm her as he attempts to grab her and hold her to his chest.
He smirks as he feels the fear from the humans around him. "I was just out for a run and saw your little caravan here and thought it was a bit much for a simple ride, I also have heard rumors of treasure being hidden in the area and thought perhaps you may have found something of interest." He replied smoothly taking a casual step forward closer to the door of the cart.

Malia quickly drops to her knees and feels an intense heat directly over her head. Drisa has sent a ball of fire at the bats. Turning her torso, she brings her sword around in an arc, meaning to slice into the man's upper leg.
LiN begins to move forward. She had not counted on the female werewolf also being a magic user. Suddenlt, she is taken off her feet as something slams into her side. Feeling a snap in her left wrist, she curses loudly and wrestles with the male werewolf, trying to fend off his hands while trying to pull a weapon.
Frisin's sunglasses lay on the ground, forgotten. His eyes are amber and wild with rage. This dark woman and her vampire companion have attacked his twin and Malia. He snarls and slams his head forward, making contact with the woman's forehead and stunning her for a moment.
Natala keeps her own body between Angelo and her carriage door. "Treasure, you say? We found no treasure. We are simply returning home now and are tired." Amber eyes look into the distance rather suddenly, locking on a pillar of smoke rising from the forest in the direction of Angelo's family manor. "Lord Angelo, are you having troubles at home?"

Adrian jumps up actually landing on the blade before kicking out at the girl's face. He leaps off the sword throwing his cloak open and launching three fireballs at the male werewolf. He hits the ground drawing his own blade the magical blue flames dancing along the blade as he charges the blind woman.
He shakes his head. "Nothing Adrian cannot handle, and if you weren't treasure hunting then why such a large entourage for a simple night time carrige ride hmmm?" He asked sensing something powerful within the carrige.

Malia falls backward to avoid the kick, but takes a glancing blow. Shaking her head to try and regain her senses, she looks up to see the man charging at Drisa. "Drisa!"
Snarling in pain and rage, he slames his head against the dark woman again before throwing her aside and rolling a few feet to put out the flames upon his back. Springing yp, he charges at the vampire with a snarl.
Drisa does not look blind. Her eyes seem to follow Adrian as he moves. Raising her right hand, a stream of lightning goes from her palm out towards the vampire.
Natala smiles softly. She may only be a baby compared to him, but she is smart and powerful. "We have been out for over a week now, Lord Angelo. I was growing restless back in my castle. Being the baby among us, I don't get invitations to other manors very often unless they want something from me." Her nostrils flair as she scents the air and looks to the smoke again. "It is not like your brother to be out without your drow. I do not smell her magics on the air." She has seen the ebony skinned woman before and knows her scent and the scent of her magic. The magic being used is not the drow's. Concern enters her mind, forcing her to become agitated. She will feel guilty if she does not help her fellow but she doesn't want to leave the slumbering Alina unguarded.
