Air represents optimism, joy, knowledge, mental quickness, sweeping away mental blocks, communication, social interaction, renewing, frivolity, gossip, fickleness, inattention, bragging, forgetfulness

Græl (pronounced Grail):

Earth represents respect, endurance, responsibility, stability, prosperity, thoroughness, purpose in life, health, rigidity, unwillingness to change or to see another side of a problem, stubborness, lack of conscience, vacillation

Llan Vys:

Fafnir's story...

Fafnir was a greedy dragon, Hording treasure and killing for the purpose of gaining more riches. Tiamat saw this and was impressed with his ability to guard his treasure and gave him a choice, To give up his horde and become an eternal guardian at her side, or to perish.

The culture Fafnir comes from states that he dies. How does that work with your understanding of Fafnir?

Fafnir has 3 stories that I have heard of. All of which Had documentation for. The most popular was him being turned into a dragon through his greed then slain by sigurd. But, That is just the most popular one.

Vox asked me this same question. And, When I told her the story, She was surprised. She said she was told the same story before as well, But, never heard the dragon's name. Just because the pop. culture is one story, Doesn't mean it is the only one. Remember. My path stems mainly from the philippine islands. Which was adapted during the many invasion attempts of those islands. Greek, Northern europe, Spain, and others all tried to conquer the philippines. So there is likely to be differences. But, I don't see that as any less valid.

I'm only familiar with the Nordic Tales of Fafnir which is why I asked. Do you have sources to show the other tales?

Nordic Text of Fafnir's origin
Lay of Fafnir

Now like I said these are the only tales I am familiar with, and the Norse have this being a sacred text. Which is right?

Edit:
It's not that I don't believe you, it's just I haven't found any text other than this about Fafnir. Does this lore about Fafnir play into your paths understanding of Fafnir or do you have completely different lore about Fafnir? If so, is it the same Dragon?

Air is mostly about knowledge, social interactions and sweeping away of mental blocks.... pure knowledge in itself can be dangerous. But yes as Dragon pointed out, all elements are both creative and destructive.

I can see why you are confused. As I said, Vox said the exact same thing, Until I explained the other story, then she understood and said she had heard the same story, but did not know the dragon's name.

Ok, so can you explain the other story to me?

Is there more to it than that? Like is there any history of Fafnir before Tiamat spoke to him?

That is pretty much the only bit I know on Fafnir. Nothing else was really stated. Just that he was an every day run of the mill pillaging dragon. His story before Tiamat is not really important to us.
