Akelledonia t ii m e ( xx ) for a HiiSTORY lesson ||Akelledonia is certainly a large island, and certainly different from the others in Dark Isles. Only one third of the actual island sits upon the sea. The rest? Well, it's afloat in the clear blue skies. The Cieltics - the only creatures that inhabit the floating island - made part of their land arise with the help of an ancient jewel named after the last name of their first queen, the Yseult Sphere. When the Queen's people were first being kidnapped and tortured, she created the sphere but had to sacrifice her wings, her gift of flight. Nothing other than Cieltics were allowed within their land, so the people had to send their queen falling back to the land on the sea, into the only area of their kingdom that had not arisen. Zephyrine Forest. But it was renamed soon after the queen had fallen, it became the Celsius Forest. On the queen's final days, she placed a curse upon the forest, and it all became ice and snow. It became almost unbearable to stay in, and one certainly wouldn't be able to stay alive during the night, because of the cold and because powerful monsters would appear as soon as the sun passed the horizon. No one knew, but the queen cursed the forest to protect her beloved people, for she found a portal that led to Akelledonia behind a water fall. Her curse made the waterfall freeze, making it impossible to enter. But the Cieltics back at Akelledonia weren't doing so well either. The people found out that the Yseult Sphere only kept the island float one year, then another Cieltic would have to sacrifice their gift of flight, and they would have to be sent to the Celsius Forest.

watch your t o u n g e ( xx ) around those ABOVE y o u ||In Akelledonia, the levels of authority are quite different. In a normal kingdom, the one with the most amount of power would be the king, then the queen, and so on. But on that floating island, the queen is given the most power, then the priest or priestess of Astor Cathedral - where the Yseult Sphere is held, then the king. Children of the king and queen are pretty much looked upon as commoners, except for the eldest daughter, the one who would become to future queen.

the people you m e e t are not what they ( xx ) SEEM ||There's only one race that is allowed within the floating kingdom of Akelledonia, and that is the native race, the Cieltics. The Cieltics look like humans, but harbor a great secret. The race was given a gift, wings that they could hide or show whenever they wished. But these are no simple bird wings, these beautiful wings that appear to be made out of crystal. However, if you touch them, they still feel like any normal pair of wings. When a feather falls off a Cieltic's wings, it crystalizes. Their crystalized feathers can sell for quite a bit, which was why the Cieltics originally took refuge in the sky. Some people were kidnapping the people of Akelledonia, and tortured them. Most of the time, the stress from torturing a Cieltic made many feathers fall off, instead of just plucking one or two off. example of wings - x ~ x ~ xOther than the power of flight, the native race of Akelledonia can have various other powers, whether it may be controlling one element - air, to flying faster than the fellow Cieltics. People that work within the Astor Cathedral are born with Holy Power, which is basically the ability to heal wounds and being able to control either the element of light or darkness. The Cieltics believe that the element people within the church can control decides their fate. Those who control light are to be working in the church forever, and lead a happy basic life, while those who can bend darkness are said to become great leaders.

OH! the p l a c e s ( xx ) you will G O || Celsius Forest ~
Celsius Forest is probably the last place you will want to go. It's terrible cold, and you wont have the chance to turn back, if the sun is gone, and only the shadows of night can be seen. During the night, hideous and strong monsters can be seen. If they don't kill you, the sudden drop of temperature will. It's safer to just stray away from this place, but if you some how find yourself there, you better leave before night falls.
It is said that behind a frozen waterfall, lies a portal that leads to the mainland of Akelledonia. However, with the frozen waterfall blocking the entrance, it's almost impossible to get in. But there's a rumor that says that somewhere in the forest, lies a frozen statue of the first Queen of Akelledonia. Around it's neck, should be a red necklace. It will melt the ice in front of the portal, but be very careful with the necklace. Without proper gear, it will burn right through your pocket, or your hand if you're holding it.
Hiverterre ~
Hiverterre is a small town a little ways away from Celsius Forest. It's a town full of the past Sacrifices. They all live within the town peacefully, even though they lost their wings, and title of being a Cieltic and a Sacrifice. It seems like a town of plain and normal humans. But the people of Hiverterre are corrupted in a way. They act like they are just normal humans, so they forget the pain they had to go through. If any actual Cieltics come by, the towns people will force them out, the same if someone comes by, and asks about the Cieltics. Also, even though it's still quite away from Celsius Forest, it only snows in this town. No sun, no rain, just snow. Maybe it's the judgment from the first Sacrifice, for trying to forget their pain instead of bearing it like she did.
Tonnerre ~
Tonnerre is the capital of Akelledonia. It is where the Chuchotement Castle - the home of the royal family - and Astor Cathedral - where the Yseult Sphere is and where the Sacrifice is held. It's certainly a beautiful city. Though it's quite busy, and the people aren't exactly the nicest. But if you've lived there for awhile, you'll be used to it. Tonnerre also has a large market place, the largest in Akelledonia. If you don't find what you need there, it'll be pretty surprising. The extremely high prices are surprising too. While you're in Tonnerre, if you exit down the south gate and head south east, you'll find the Beaucoup Crystal Mines. Which was once the largest mine in Akelledonia, until it became over run by monsters. People still mine there sometimes, and usually they'll always be looking for body guards. If you're strong enough, you'll get a pretty good pay. But it wont be easy.
Beaucoup Crystal Mines ~
The Beaucoup Crystal Mines are located south east of Tonnerre. It was once a place where many miners dug up crystals used for jewelry, and sometimes charms were cast upon them, and engraved into weapons and shields. But later on, monsters began to take over the mines, and the miners were too scared to enter. Some miners still go there, but wont leave without some sort of body guard. Usually great warriors are hired at Tonnerre, where the Quest Master is. One will be given quite a good pay if they take the job, but it certainly isn't easy. Sometimes if miners don't like the person, they'll refuse to cooperate, and end of getting severely injured. Also, if the miners get even the tiniest scratch from a monster, gold will be deducted. Hard job, eh?
If you get lost in the cave, you can still tell if it's day or night. Monsters only appear during the day, and strangely disappear at night.
Fleur Plains / lointain ~
The Fleur Plains is located west of Tonnerre, along with Iointain. The Fleur Plains completely surround Iointain, and with the plain's extremely tall and thick grass and plants, it extremely hard to get in or get out. And don't forget the monsters that live within the plain. Some look like regular plants, and try to kill you when you aren't looking. Iointain is known for taking electricity from storms and generating it into power. Above Iointain and Fleur Plains, there is always a storm brewing. Compared to Tonnerre, Iointain is pretty futuristic, and the people are very kind. But lately, the city has been taken over by a group of bandits. Thus, the city isn't as nice as it used to be, and there are many crooks around, just waiting to steal whatever you have.
Chuchotement Castle ~
Chuchotement Castle is located within Akelledonia's capital, Tonnerre. This castle belongs to the royal family, but many other important figures live within the castle as well. The Priest/Priestess of the Astor Cathedral lives in the castle, along with the Sacrifice. When the Sacrifice is announced, they live within the castle until it's time for the Ceremony of Cosmos. Other than these important people, and the servants that work within the castle, no one is allowed to enter. Because of this, thieves always target the castle, but since it's heavily guarded, no one that wasn't suppose to, hasn't made it into the castle without detection. But some people say that if you go into the Astor Cathedral, there's suppose to be a secret passage that leads into the castle. But that is also heavily guarded.
If you wish to enter this castle, you must be very quiet. You can't fight any of the guards either, for it can catch other guards attention. If you get a disguise, you might be able to get in without being detected.
Astor Cathedral ~
Along with Chuchotement Castle, the Astor Cathedral is located within Akelledonia's capital, Tonnerre. Strangely, Astor Cathedral is the largest and most beautiful building within Tonnerre. And it's open to the public, unlike the Chuchotement Castle. Within the Cathedral, the Ceremony of Comos is held. Also, everyday, they read the first Sacrifice's journal, until the year finishes. At the Astor Cathedral, the highest rank is the Priest or Priestess. They're the ones that read the First Sacrifice's journal every day, and hold the Ceremony of Cosmos. The next highest rank is the Priest/Priestess - in - training. The Priest/Priestess - in - training is chosen to take on the task of being the next Priest/Priestess, if there were something to happen to the current one, or if the current one retires. The Priest/Priestess of Astor Cathedral decides who becomes the next Priest/Priestess.
Within the Cathedral, it is said that there is a secret passage way that leads to the Chuchotement Castle, which is true. The passage is guarded though, and is only used if something happens to the Cathedral, like a fire, or some other disaster.
Astor Passageway ~
The Astor Passageway is the secret passage that leads from the Astor Cathedral to the Chuchotement Castle. The Passageway was actually an old Waterway, but all of the water dried out. So now it's used as a passageway when something bad happens to the Cathedral. Luckily, the only beings that live within the Astor Passageway, are mice and bats that pretty much leave you alone, if you leave them alone. However, it's extremely easy to get lost within the passageways, and there are some groups of people from the Cathedral that have died within the Astor Passageways, because they couldn't find their way.
