The camp sits at the edge of a pristine lake, Lake Naut, and is surrounded by a great variety of trees. Counselors Boys' Counselors and Aides Bryant ReedA 19-year-old counselor that's been attending Camp Lefnaut for as long as he could remember. While he enjoyed the activities as a child, since growing out of the camp's age group he has been helping the younger children to enjoy their camping experience at Lefnaut. He has been a counselor for about six years and volunteers during each summer session. He is popular among not only the campers but the adults and teenagers as well. Garrett Parkinson The son of the current Head Counselor, Garrett has been attending Camp Lefnaut for as long as he can remember. Though he enjoyed his experience at camp as a child, at the age of 18, Garrett would rather being doing things with people his own age back home instead of attending camp every summer. His changes when he's around the campers, but the other counselors and aides know of his discontent. Garrett is seen as friendly towards others though he can be quite sarcastic at times. Zachariah PapdupaloZachariah-- or Zach for short-- is one of the newer residents in the town that Camp Lefnaut takes its campers from. He has been living in the town for approximately a year and a half and is not exactly thrilled to be attending the camp as an aide. He is attending the camp because his mother volunteered him in order for him to look after his younger brother-- who wanted to go to camp for the summer. Zach is not afraid to show everyone that he wants to go back home, but the head counselor has insisted that he stay and try to enjoy himself. He is currently 16 years of age. Girls' Counselors and Aides Chloe BarnesUnlike the other counselors at Camp Lefnaut, this is Chloe's first year at the camp. She attends the university in X city and grew up in a different part of the country until just recently. She is pursuing in an Educational Degree, hoping to work for an elementary school or a daycare. Bryant, a current counselor, happened to be in an English class with her and recommended that she attend the camp over the summer. This is her first experience of a summer camp, but she seems to be getting along with the children fine-- though she is somewhat shy around the other counselors and aides (with the exception of Bryant.) She is currently 19 years of age. Brittany Walker A popular girl that has an incredible list of achievements at the local high school, Brittany has been an aide for Camp Lefnaut since discovering that her crush, Bryant Reed, is a counselor there. Currently 17 years of age, Brittany once attended the camp as a camper for three summers, developing her crush on Bryant before she quit attending camp. Though she enjoys her job as an aide, she seems more interested in being near Bryant than helping the kids. During breaks between activities, she can often be found trying to keep in touch with her family and friends in the city. Nadia HoltzA friendly but inattentive aide at Camp Lefnaut, Nadia is going through her second year of helping out at the camp. A handful of the other campers know that she attended camp for about three and a half summers before abruptly leaving camp. The two people outside of the Holtz family that know why Nadia left is the current head counselor and her son, Garrett. This 17-year-old girl is also known to be extremely obsessed with video games and can often be found playing it. This is also the reason she gives to the campers as to why she stays away from the lake-- though she has an entirely different reason.

Noted Persons Mrs. ParkinsonA friendly, happy woman, she's the head counselor and coordinator of Camp Lefnaut. She has orange-colored hair and tends to be on the short and pudgy side. Despite this, many children like her and her outgoing-- if not somewhat goofy-- personality. Pangiotis "Taki" Papadupalo The younger brother of Zach, Taki is a quiet boy that normally has his nose stuck in a book. Despite being a bookworm, he has an interest for things he's never tried before and often tries to participate in new things when he can. His hair is a little longer than his brother's, but it tends to be kept more neatly. He wears titanium rimmed glasses and keeps a neat appearance. He's 8 years old and in the 4th grade.

The smell of the cool mountain air with the strong blend of pine trees never changed it seemed. At least that's what Bryant Walker was thinking to himself as he stepped off the bus with a content smile on his face. It was about an hour and a half drive from the city to the camp he had been attending since his childhood, but he was still looking forward to the activities. "Move, you're in the way..." came the rude voice behind the college student. As Bryant turned, he was able to look at the elevated face of one of the newer people to the camp, Zachariah Papadupalo. Unlike the older boy, Zach was not looking forward to being at camp. On top of not being able to hang out with his friends over the summer, he had to watch his bratty younger brother-- who was still sitting in the bus, waiting for the counselors to get out first."Sorry!" came the happy answer. It was his first day in a new place so he was probably just feeling nervous, at least that's what Bryant kept telling himself. He didn't want to get off on the wrong foot with the newbie. Had the bus stopped moving? Nadia was somewhat curious but she didn't move her chocolate-colored eyes from the screen of her portable game system. The set of headphones in her ears kept her from having to listen to all the noise that the girls' bus seemed to always have. Still, it was sure to be more pleasant than being on the bus with all those rowdy boys and when she got home she would get a good amount of pocket money.

"Bryant!" Brittany had rushed to get off the bus as soon as the counselors and aides were told they could. Did he remember her from school? She hoped he did, but if he didn't... she could get over it. They had all summer, after all! Chloe was halfway off the bus when she looked down and saw Nadia. Leaning down slightly, she tapped the girl on the shoulder. She almost spoke until she saw the girl's headphones; the older girl figured it wold be better to just wait for the younger one to acknowledge her first. Garrett had not rode the bus with everyone else. No, since his mother was head counselor, they had arrived the night before in her car. Still, the teenager was stood outsdie the gates of the camp as the two buses pulled up. There was even a smile on his face. He had left his hat inside, so a hand cupped on his forehead served to keep the sun out of his eyes.

"Ah... Hey!" Bryant responded upon hearing his name, a smile sitting upon his face. The girl was familiar and it only took him half a minute to remember her name. "Brittany, right?" he spoke. Nadia didn't respond right away, pulling up a pause screen on her game before tilting her head towards Chloe with as little movement as she possibly could have. A hand reached up and popped one of the headphones out of her ear before speaking. "Sup?" she spoke. Though the teen's face seemed to lack an upward or downward, she seemed rather relaxed as she spoke.Zach's eyes looked over the camp grounds before he gave his assessment of the place. "This place if a piece of junk; why would anyone even want to waste their time here?" the boy spoke rudely.

"Yeah!" confirmed the blonde with a grin. He knew who she was! "I didn't think you'd remember me," she admitted. Chloe smiled gently down at Nadia. "We're there," she told her simply. She stepped back to let the girl out of the bus seat. "There's no use complaining." The same smile was on Garrett's lips as he approached the teenagers, overhearing the younger male's comment. "And it's not as bad as it may seem."

"Of course, I wouldn't forget about you!" the male spoke, probably unintentionally raising the girl's hopes. "Ah! Be careful!" Bryant quickly moved from Brittany to one of the boys that looked like he was about to slip. Though the child was able to catch himself, it still seemed to worry the older male. He didn't want anyone in the nurse's office on the first day! "Ah... Thanks," the girl spoke vacantly, getting up and walking out in front of Chloe. Really, it would have felt better to just sit in the bus for a while longer, but the older girl was trying to be nice so it was better to take the kindness. Nadia slowly descended the stairs of the girls' bus before hopping from the second to last stair, her other headphone falling out of her other ear. Her free hand reached out and pulled the dangling headphones back up before she started to shut her game down and put her things away."Oh so it's gonna suck more?" Zach spoke dryly.

Of course, Brittany's hopes were raised sky high. He wouldn't forget about her! She ran the words through her mind over and over again. The only thing that disrupted her moment on cloud nine was the noise the girls made coming off the bus. Oh yeah. She had almost forgotten that she actually had a job to do. "Come on girls!" she called in a bubbly voice, bouncing back over to the bus. Once Nadia and Chloe were both off of the bus, the girls followed. They were better than the boys when it came to getting in line and going where they were told to, but not quite as good at staying quiet when needed. Still, the younger children, both girls and boys, absolutely charmed the college student, and had won her heart already. "Oh, totally, but don't tell my mom that." Garrett was completely serious about not sharing the comment with his mother, but was being more or less sarcastic about how badly camp would suck. Sure, he would much rather have been at home, but it wasn't terrible.

"Whatever," the younger male spoke sourly. His eyes wandered over to Bryant, who was dutifully trying to get the boys to line up while messing around with them. Even his own younger brother seemed to enjoy the light horseplay of the college student.Chloe seemed to be doing most of the work, getting the girls together, and Brittany seemed to be taking up the front in order to get them to the cafeteria for lunch and a short orientation. As for Nadia, she seemed to take the back of the girls' line, her eyes wandering out towards the lake not too far from the camp. Hopefully, there wouldn't be many water activities planned out as they had last year.

Garrett shrugged. He couldn't be bothered with trying to cheer up the new aide. As long as the guy was nice enough to the kids, it wasn't his problem. Instead, Garrett joined in with Bryant in getting the boys to the cafeteria. Though he didn't mess around with them as the older male did, he was still friendly, especially to those he recognized from previous years. Whenever she got a chance, Brittany's eyes wandered over to Bryant. However, she didn't get many chances; she was at the front with the younger girls, and they were demanding her attention. What was that older girl's name? Brittany had noticed that she had been good with the younger ones, but she couldn't remember her name in order to call her over... "Alright girls, just follow Brittany to the cafeteria," Chloe told them gently. Unlike the younger girl, she remembered the names of both of the female aides. Of course she knew Bryant, though she had no idea who the dark-haired boy was, and she couldn't remember the name of the counselor's son.

Zach didn't speak with any of the children that were hovering around him, shoving his hands into his pockets and leaving it at that. He just had to deal with it and then he had to go home, right? That was serious bull... Maybe if he proved himself unsuitable for the children then he could get out of this boring hell on earth. As soon as the children entered into the cafeteria and managed to take their seats, a short, plump woman walked out from the kitchen. She had hair the color of an orange and she had a large bright smile on her face. It wasn't hard to see that she was the head counselor of Camp Lefnaut. "Children, children, children!" she started, sounding extremely peppy and cavity-inducingly sweet, "I am happy to share yet another summer with my old campers and I look forward to having fun with all my new campers as well! Welcome to Camp Lefnaut one and all! As many of you have already know, you have been sorted into cabins and name tags! Please do not lose the name tags-- but if ya do, tell one of our wonderful camp counselors!" The one winked playfully before continuing. "We have many fun fun fun! activities planned for you all and yummy nutritious meals as well! Are you all excited?" the woman asked, cupping her ear towards the camper waiting for their response. When the children cheered loudly, the woman stood back up with an even larger grin on her face. "Well then! Let's meet all the nice people that will be watching over you this summer!" she continued happily, "For those of you who don't know, I'm Mrs. Parkinson and I'm the head counselor and coordinator here! Your nurse will be Mr...." the woman loudly went through all of the names, bringing people on stage as she called out their names, "Now! For the counselors and aides! For the boys' cabins, we have my wonderful son Garrett! Come on sweetie! Come up here!"

Rolling his eyes, the male made his way up on stage. He looked very little like his mother, but they had the same eyes at least. Once on the stage, he grinned and waved at the kids. He didn't like being the only one up, but knew his mother would call the rest up soon.
