Windy felt out of place, but she knew it wouldn't last long. Sonn she would be part of the clan. Sonn she would cure their diseases and heal their wounds. She found a solitary spot and sat down, watching intently.
Nightpaw felt her heart leep. I'm going to be a warrior!She shouted over and over in her head. Her anxious paws neaded the ground. Her tail flicked with excitement she could not handle. She wondered what her new name would be.

Pulling herself up she limped from the medicine cat den to find her place next to the log she sat down as she watched the other cats shame still tugged at her heart.

"I've gathered you all here tonight to honor an apprentice who has fought hard and is deserving the title warrior" Cedarstar meowed from his position on Tallstump. He flicked his tail to signal Runningleaf to escort Nightpaw up to where their leader stood.

Runningleaf laced his tail over his aprentices shoulders bringing her up to the tallstump. He could feel her excited trembleing course through his body. He was just as excited as she was. Nightpaw was his first aprentice and was now becomeing a warrior. He was imensly proud.
Nightpaw aloud Runningleaf to bring her up beneath the atllstump, like she'd seen so many others do before her. She held her head high, smieling broadly. This was the best moment of her life! She would never forget it. They got to the tallstump and she trembled excitedly.

Spottedpath rushed over to where the Tallstump stood and watched the ceremony. She missed the first part of the ceremony due to being in deep thought.

"Nightpaw has fought well during the BoulderClan attack and she tried hard to protect Timidpaw." he said before looking up to the sky in Silverpelt. "I call upon our ancestors to look down upon me, and approve my choice of accepting this apprentice." His serious gaze turned back to the eager Nightpaw. "Nightpaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and protect the clan even at the cost of your life?"

Fernclaw sat there with patience as she watched young nightpaw she remembered being made a warrior then deputy she'd worked so hard and had been proud,poor timidpaw probably would never experience this.

"I do."She mewed ceremoniously. She repeated the words her ancestors have uttered throughout the ages, now she joined in this ritual and mixed her voice with the ones of those who were made warriors. She glowed with pride raising her head even higher.

"Then I give you a new warrior name. From now on you will be known as Nightstep." Cedarstar yowled in praise. He rested his muzzle on top of the new warrior's head.

Nightstep licked her leaders shoulder respectively. When she stepped back she was a warrior. Pride shown from her pelt. She was now Nightstep, warrior of Meadowclan. She ran the name over and over in her head savoring it. She looked around at her clan respect clear in their eyes.
Runningleaf was the first to start the chant of,"Nightstep! Nightstep!" He was so proud of his former aprentice. Pride shown in his eyes as well. He hoped she grew to be a great warrior. But now he had another realization. He was now unbound from his clan except for the warrior code. Their was nothing to hold him down, to keep him in Meadowclan. He felt guilty for the thought, but rejoiced in knowing what it meant. Someday, he could bewith MIststar!

Cedarstar gave a smile. " I have two more things to say. First, I would like to thank Windy for being so kind as to accept my offer into allowing her into our clan. She will be the new medicine cat and shall receive her name from StarClan as soon as Ferncloud heals. As for another buisness. Blackpaw needs a mentor." He turned to the new warrior. "I would like to appoint Nightstep as Blackpaw's mentor."

Nightsteps jaw dropped. She was going to be a mentor! She held her head higher still. If it were possible her pride grew. Her body filled with a feeling of ultimate happiness. She was the luckiest cat in the clan. She watched as the aprentice came up. She looked deeply into his eyes.
