Towel rugs - very interesting idea!! I'd love to see a pic of that! And a fabric pet rock?! Lol - I looove it!
Looks like I'm gonna enjoy myself here wink

Right now, I'm working on a baby blanket for my goddaughter, and a hand sewn patchwork tote bag.

If anyone would to like to see anything that I've already made, comments & suggestions are always welcome biggrin (I'm an amateur, so please be gentle, hehe) - Ska Hippie Creations

Why thank you so much!! biggrin *blushes* The flap & button hole is a lil ghetto, so it's kind of "still in the works", but it serves its purpose for the time being lol. I'll post pics of my other stuff in the proper sub board as soon as I can wink

I'm working on two projects...kinda....

The main one is a knit skirt made of Lion Microspun and a cotton yarn I found about a year ago and can't remember the name of. I had it about halfway done, then realized it was way too small, so I had to frog the whole thing except for the trim (about four inches of yok2tog done in a fine yarn on size 10.5's).

So that I only have about five inches done. The other project is on hiatus because I forgot my extra yarn, so it's currently 1200 miles away. That project was a "sampler sweater"--random yarns and stitch patterns combined to form a very strange (and honestly? kind of ugly) sweater. I was just doing it for the heck of it, to play around because my swatch looked a bit like a sleeve. Anyway, I have maybe enough yarn left for six more inches, but there's still ten more to go, plus half a sleeve and all my seams. That may stay on the needles for a while.

I'm finally knitting again. I haven't been able to for about 2 months or so... no time to cast on anything new. So of course, I've been knitting like a fiend since I cast of a couple days ago, and I've got something to show for it!

First on the needles was a project that I bought yarn for ages ago, and then couldn't get the beads for. Go figure. It's the Spring Garden Shawl from Issue 86 of Knitter's Magazine. My first beaded knitting, and of course, in laceweight, which I have minimal experience with. Love the lifeline in there.

Second to go on the needles is the first of a pair of Roza's Socks, from Interweave Knits, Sping 2007. THe brioche stitch is ridiculously easy, and on 60 stitches, this one's knitting up fast. I'm used to lacier socks on 72 and 80 stitches. I actually emailed Grumperina yesterday to ask a question, and she replied within about two hours. Very friendly.

I'm knitting these as my first project on two circs. Of course, the pattern's written for 5 dpn, which is my "native" sock knitting ground. I can't make things easy, can I?
