Tawnyflight rushed in, already notified of the scent. She scented a fox and a couple of orange tufts on the floor. Sighing, she shook her head. "No wonder she didn't come back. Cherrypaw must be very sad when she hears the news. Shall we carry her bacK?"

"Y-yeah" Silverclaw stammered, he had heard of cats been slain by foxes but never himself had seen one until now. Gently he carried the she-cat by her scruff picking up the limp body.

Froststar stood near the enterance to the camp. "Oh. StarClan... no." she gasped as she saw her clanmates dragging the body, "Oh... poor Cherrypaw..."

Cherrypaw walked out of the camp enterence. It was the morning after they burried Frostpool... She liked Silverclaw, he was great... but she still felt sad about Frostpool...But that was warrior life and she wanted to be the best. With a soft twinkle in her eyes, she sat down and tried to immitate Froststar's graceful way of tucking her tail around her body, only to fail and fall over clumbisly.

Silverclaw had made himself over out of the den, it had been a while since he helped in burying Frostpool. He checked on the apprentice den and found Cherrypaw, naturally he followed after her and now began to wonder if she was in any mood to start her training. He paused as he spotted her on the floor and bounded up to her. "Need help? the slender tom asked now thinking training could get her mind off things.

The young warrior padded over to Cherrypaw and helped her up by picking her up gently taking a hold of her scruff with his teeth gently. ". . .Would you like to start today's. .lesson?" the tom asked pressing his nose against her head, worried that the apprentice might still feel heartbroken. Of course she is . .you idiot of a fur ball! he insulted himself.

Cherrypaw nodded "I'd like that... oh!and if we have time do you think I can give catching fish another try? They won't out smart me two days in a row!" The familiar sparkle to her eyes returned as she was determined not to fail. Training with Silverclaw was different than it had been with Frostpool. The silver tom was patient and never seemed to have to try to hide irritation when she failed. Frostpool had always seemed to make a visible effort not to get irritated.
She blinked at her thoughts, she had been very close with her mentor, and would miss her dearly, but Silverclaw had yet to scold her for getting distracted and he was just so... She banished her thoughts quickly but before she could speak, a leaf landed on her nose, causing her to sneeze.

Tawnyflight decided to go for a hunt. She sat by the stream quietly, over going yesterday’s events. It had been a day sunce they’d buried Frostpool, yet her paws still felt slimy and heavy with the dirt that she scraped to create a burial for Frostpool. A flick of silver caught her eye, and without even looking up she flashed out her paw. The fish lay flopping on the patch of grass next to her, and she stepped on it with her claws unsheathed. It stopped flopping.

Silverpaw nodded in return, "Yes, that seems like a good idea as to where to begin" the young tom purred leading Cherrypaw towards the river where they had practiced the day before. "Here. .let's try on this side today" Silverclaw meowed sitting down on the marsh like floor below gazing at the slow running river beside him.

The tom held a soft happy gaze seeing the young apprentice being cheerful. Hopefully the training would get her mind of the loss of her mentor. "Well . .go on Cherrypaw, try fishing again"

Cherrypaw nodded before she paded up to the water's edge and attempted to try fishing once again. Luck didn't seem to be on her side as the first fish she was swam away before she could lift a paw. After letting out a sigh, she focused her pale green eyes on the water once again. This time for sure.

Silverclaw watched closely at his apprentice, Cherrypaw was a smart she cat and she could handle this task quiet well. "Go on" the young tom urged.

Nodding silently, the young she-cat did as instructed, intent on getting it perfect. Pale green eyes peered deep into the surface of the water. Slowly, she rose her paw, pausing. Counting the heartbeats she waited. When suddenly, she quickly threw her paw into the water, claws sinking into the side of the slimy creature before quickly batting it out of the water and onto the shore near her mentor where it twitched and flopped helplessly.
"I-I COUGHT IT!!!" she yowled victoriously, bouncing in place.
