Sorry if this posts offends any one of you in any way...
except the government, cuz i'm not too hot on the gov'ment.
But I had auditions today, for High School Musical today right?
And yeah, of course I was nervous, they called me first for the singing portion of the audition.
That was doomed for failure in my mind, just to add to the "oh man, they picked the worst portion of this song for anyone to sing to" and "I don't quite know when the queue is for this song, I'll just wait for someone else to sing and it'll be alright" thoughts in my mind.
At least they let me start over because I started wrong and they couldn't hear me anyway.... Then that was over and by the time we went on to the next portion, I was feeling better. Next was reading lines...
And our director is full of &^*^*%*%^&%* because he says "this is in no particular order" and then he chooses his favorites, but leaves some out so he can pick some of his favorites in another group, and tells them all to practice yadda yadda page number. For the 7 girls and 1 boy left, he says "all the girls that are left and Blake, go to page 304729875 and all the girls will be Sharpay and Blake will have to be Ryan"
So we practice for 1 1/2 minutes, and he decides to get the audition going by having his favorites perform their special little ditty. And they all go, AND HE WAITS TO THINK WHILE WE'RE RUNNING OUT OF TIME. And he lets the only lady trying out for Ms. Darbus go and read her 693762856945 minute long rant about class and cell phones.
And then, out of the blue, "let's have the girls trying out for Sharpay try this other song"... like they don't already know the whole movie (but we're doing the stage play and it's only about 3 scenes different, if not less)
So we waste all our time seeing who can do the best Ashley Tisdale impression. And (these 7 girls and) I don't get to read because I'm (we're) not one of his favorites. It wouldn't have been that bad if it weren't for the fact that my acting could have saved me from my nerves in the beginning.
Oh, and we didn't even do a dancing portion of the audition.
So immediately after the auditions, I was worried. And then I was confident about it because I remembered out of the only two girls who I thought were my competition for Kelsi (because they can play piano and they were interested): one of them didn't even try out and the other can't sing or act worth crap (it's true, I'm not just trying to be mean).
And i went to go check out the listings at this evening before I had to go to rehearsal for another show I'm doing crew for. And no, I didn't get the part. But you know who did? Our resident midget. She plays ALL the comic relief funny roles. ALL. But Kelsi's not an especially funny role, so that's not why she got it. It's because our director LOVES her and believes there's nothing more he can teach her... yada yada yada, he's full of &(^%@ and delusional.
I'm not trying to be mean about her height of genetics or anything, but seriously? SERIOUSLY? 3' 10"...
At first I was sad, generally upset with some jealousy thrown in there, and now I'm just mad I'm really really really mad.
And it was so horrible at tech rehearsal because I was upset and I am not good at all at keeping back tears. And so many people in the theater are lovey-dovey "what's wrong? you need a hug?" type people. And i cry worse when people do that to me and I had to tell 3 or 4 people to "Stop hugging me, trust me, you're only making it worse."
By the end of practice, I wasn't feeling as bad, just mad. really mad. and it took me about an hour to write this.

And I've ben waiting on a Dotey post. which explains why I haven't posted with Johanna or Brady.
Oliver's not doing much. Neither is Tracey. Neither is Kev.
And Glenn's just kind of there... I suppose I could put him in a conversation.
Leigh could respond to Bailey and Fig...
Rosaline and Julia, waiting on Raph.
And that's all.... hmph.
because I'm not even done with Rick.

I'm SO sorry about that, Skye. That must be really frustrating. I would have just left after realizing the casting director was a stupid jerk who probably didn't even know what he was doing.
But at least you tried.
Let's see... I have Alice, Rain, Fig, Alanis, Myranda, Quinton, Olivia, and Lorraine.

Aws, I'm reallly, really, really sorry about that stupid director guy Skye. I hate how unfair life is sometimes.
Ugh. I'm soooo tired. The phone rang at like 9 in the morning today. And since I have a phone in my room, it woke me up. So now I'm mad. I normally sleep until twelve! :[
What kind of world is this? Hahaha, just kidding. Seriously.
Hmmm, do I have to reply with any of my characters? I don'--wait. I have to reply with Skander. Yup. Well I'll do that today. Soon. Maybe after lunch or something.

Haha this is totally random but I'm wearing a polo shirt and it has TURTLES on it! I totally forgot that I had this shirt until I unpacked it a few days ago. Sorry, but the turtles are so cute! : DDDD
