Oh gosh, this is a hard choice. I love "Once More With Feeling," "Tabula Rasa," and I also really like "Fool For Love," but there are so many good ones! I kind of like "Crush," too, but it's not my all-time favorite, and there are some sad Spuffy moments.... for touching monologues, I've gotta go with "Touched." (No pun intended.)

ok well... im so lame that i still havent gotten season 5-7 but id have to say that in buffy it wouls be... School hard, his first episode. i read up and he was only supposed to last one episode!!! well see what good of a job they did at killing him. mrgreen
o and for 'Angel' it would have to be Hell bound from season 5 mrgreen

The episode where Buffy's mother dies, and they are all gathering to go to the hospital ... and Willow is trying to decide what to wear ... and Anya makes the speech about how Joyce will never drink a juice box again.
That always makes me cry.

I almost feel like a traitor for saying it, but am I the only one who thinks "Normal Again" was the best episode?
I can't help but love it. Just knowing that Joss would throw that idea out there - that maybe, just maybe, Sunnydale was the grand delusions of a mental patient has to say something for the show. Add to that that they never really answered the question with how they ended it (is the real Buffy in the world where her parents are together and none of her "friends" exist, or is the real Buffy the demon-butt-kicking Slayer we all know and love?), and it has to be the best Buffy episode.
You gotta love Spike's part in it, too. Between hunting the demon with Xander and confronting Buffy about her trip in crazy land, he definitely shined.
Yeah, "Once More With Feeling" was great (and being the Broadway junkie I am you know I love walking around singing the songs), but it can't top "Normal Again".

There are just too many to say one. So here's my list:
Season 1:
- The Puppet show (puppets used to give me creeps.)
Season 2:
- Ted (John Ritter is just great in this. Also robots give me creeps.)
Season 3:
- Amends (Nice, about Angel's history, and the plot was used again on season 7)
- Earshot (Great episode of a serious thing)
- Band Candy (Loved to see Giles behaving like a teenager!)
Season 4:
- Hush (The Gentlemen also creep the hell out of me!)
- This year's Girl/Who are you (I loved the way Faith was brought back.)
- Primeval (Just because of the magic the Scoobies did to defeat Adam.)
- Restless (Cheese, anyone?)
Season 5:
- The Body (So sad, so quiet without the music. I loved Joyce.)
Season 6:
- Once more with feeling (I don't even need to explain this biggrin )
- Life Serial (I always love this plot; somebody lives the day again and again until she does something right.)
- Doublemeat palace (This episode was a treat for a vegetarian! wink )
- Normal Again (Amazing! What if it was all in Buffy's head?)
Season 7:
- Conversations with dead people (This was just so dark)
- Storyteller (I was about the time Andrew took some responcibility. I liked how this was shot.)
- Chosen (I really liked the idea that they gave slayer powers to all the potentials. And Spike was so heroic!)
Believe, this is just a short list, there are a lot more of my favourites! smile
