I'm allowed a myspace; I just don't want one. I have an LJ account. x3
Though a lot of my friends from class have a facebook apparently. (I don't pay attention.) So I'll probably get one before school's out so that I can keep track of them all. There aren't that many so it shouldn't be hard.
If it makes Jane feel any better, what Zacch's doing is probably closer to disturbing girls on the train rather than hooking up with them. (:

It's not really a big deal.
As long as people actually use myspace to just talk to people and keep in touch with rl friends,

How do you know I won't die? I could totally meet up with some serial rapist or a cultist or even a fundamentalist! :0 I jest, I jest. I'm just too lazy to keep up with so many different places, so I have Gaia and LJ and that's it.
xDD Oh, yes. The real reason that post is so long has nothing to do with my extended absence. It's because I was having far, far too much fun with it.

I will totally post all my dress ideas if someone lets me in on theirs.
I'm actually drawing all of my designs, and I don't want to go too casual.
What am I talking about? I make the rules.
HEYY YOU GAIZ.
Don't get dresses too formal, because this is not like the Yule Ball.
It's a dance.
Like your high school formal dances.
Well, let's hope your dances are a lot more decent than mine.
And I don't want to hear it if you're not in high school or if you've never gone to a dance.
You know what a homecoming dress looks like.
So get something styled like this or this.
Find a happy medium between this and this.
And please, for the love of all that is good, do not have your character show up in this.
And if you decide your character needs to show up in something totally outrageous...
at least have a good reason.
For example:
Leigh's dress is short on her.
Well, everything is short on her because she has such damn long legs.
Leigh's dress is simple.
A complicated dress would have to be really hard to charm.
And I wouldn't want to dampen Leigh's spirits because she's so proud of the fact that she actually learned a spell, instead of memorizing it for a test.
And I don't want to bombard everyone with things that are so fantastic about Leigh, something's got to be a little off.
It was a $15 dress, a lot less than everyone else would spend.
See how I just totally BSed that?
I'm pretty good at that.
But don't do anything like, "My character's not normal, so that's why she's wearing a garbage bag as a dress...."
COME ON.

alright, let me just say, shopping for a semi-formal dress for a very small eleven-year-old is NOT EASY.

Check Dillard's. that's where I got my inspiration.
And you can pick from juniors dresses [i liked this one] or children's dresses [but good luck with the kid's dresses. very... kiddish.
Of course it was only inspiration because I'm so picky,
luckily I am able to draw.
Heck, If you got a clear idea of you want for Bailey, I could make it for you. ;]

Okay I lied, the dress I found last night is not Melanie's dress. It's way too long and she likes to dance, even though she's not any good at it. And in that one she wouldn't be able to dance. Heck, I'd be surprised if she'd be able to dance. Oh, it was also way too formal. Okay Melanie's dress isn't outrageous but it's probably a lot more expensive and detailed than most...
And here's why:
- Since Melanie's family is pureblooded I have gone with the sterotypical view that soembody in Melanie's family is very rich. (In Mel's case it's her grandparents) (her dress costs $300)
- Melanie likes to wear simple and classic things that have a bit of flair, so the dress has a simple cut but stands out because of the things that are on it.
- Like Skye said with Leigh, Melanie's tall (5 foot 9 1/2 inches) so most things appear short on her. So her dress is short on her (but meets school standards! You know with the whole arm straight down length with the fingertips..get it? I have no other way to explain it)
- She likes her blue eyes so her dress is blue
- She likes attention so her dress is very, very, very, shiiiiiiny!
Man I really want to show it to you guys....but I can't. Not unless everyone else does.
Oh one questions Skye, oh wait, no, two questions actually.
#1 When will this dance be taking place our time wise? In a few months?
#2 How much longer are we going to be on the train? Cause if we're not on there for much longer than I won't post Mel meeting up with Mac and Hollywood...

okay, so I've posted Johanna's reply.
It took me, like an hour and a half to type it up.
Oh, and questions, I can do questions.
1. Yeah, proabably a few months... depends on how long everything else works out.... heh
2. I was thinking maybe a week irl, just 2 hours in RP time. In a couple days I'll change it to 5:30
And everyone will file into the Great Hall and yada-yada.
And I'm not posting mine until I have them all drawn up and put together. :3

So, apparently I spent the night at my friends house and didn't go to bed until 5 in the morning when the sun was coming up. That's why I wasn't on last night. So if I seem a little cranky... that's why. Though, I highly doubt I'll be able to throw a cup at your head like I almost did this morning to my bff's fiance... or suck your soul out, too. Fred (yes, his name is Frederick.) said I looked like I could suck his soul through his ear. >:]
Heehee. My goodness, Will. That certianly is a very strange and confusing reply. :] But that's okay. I found it sweet. :3 I think that's all Alice would want from him. Haha, I love how we (or at least I) think our characters are real. They're like our imagination's children! I even know where they all sleep. And Rachel's characters. They all sleep on her floor.
I don't think Alice and Alanis' dresses are that formal. In fact, Alanis' isn't. "I'd rather not be flashy. Just put me in something that's not pink." Alice's may be a problem, but only because it has a lift. "I want something... something wild! Something that'll say "ALICEALICEALICE" all over it!" -sigh- A dark crimson seemed like the ideal color for something wild. And it has a lift. SO, that said. Alice won't be wearing it. "WHUT." Sorry. It costs $180, and Nana can't afford that. "..." And then there's Myranda. I'm pretty sure I'll find something for her, but it may be difficult. Just because she's 12 and all. But Olivia is being SO picky. Everytime I find a dress that's really beautiful, she's always like, "No. I'd rather be thrown in the dungeons and starve for three weeks than be caught in THAT."
;__; So much to stress. I feel like a mom.
But of course the boys are no problem. Fig'll just wear his dad's old tux, and Rain'll wear... um... something not his dad's. I'm sure he's rich enough. Quinton probably will just come in jeans and crash it. So there's absolutely nothing to worry about. ... <:]
Anyway. Enough about the dance.
I'm gunna go read about Johanna's nightmare!
EDIT: Kay, so I guess I'll have to edit Alanis and Myranda's post when I get back online. lol I hadn't thought of that. And Skye, don't worry about it. Your plotting ideals are amazing, so don't worry about plotting for other people. :3 I'll make Myranda, whens he returns back with Alanis, giggling like mad and fill her in. Of course Alanis will be like, "-blush- ... What?"

I drew Johanna's dress this morning.
It's really simple... but her brain is so complex that something about her had to make sense.
Anyway, here's the color.

Oliver... I dunno what I'm going to do with him. He may not even go, not really his kind of thing, unless nobody would mind him showing up in corduroys and a sweater.
On the other hand, Brady will look very snazzy. ;]

For Alice:
I hate, hate, hate, hate, HATE. HATE. the bow on the side. So if I do use this one, I'll just say the bow thingy is on the back, because I'll look so much cuter that way. As for accessories: haven't thought about it, yet.
For Alanis:
I haven't found shoes, yet, (or I can just use the ones in the picture) and I doubt she'll wear any jewlery. But I'm thinking I might have Myranda take over the whole make-up and hair for her. Do they allow hair extensions? >D

Yes. Low maintenance, indeed. If Zacch goes, the closest he's getting to dress clothes is a pair of black pants and a black, long sleeved shirt. He'd look like one of those stereotypical spoken-word poets, minus the beret. >D But he does, at the very least, have dress shoes.
That is, as long as his mother doesn't find out about the dance and send him something. He'll be praying that that doesn't happen, but whether it does or doesn't will depend on how much I feel I need to torture him at the time.
