Here is a wonderous place or forest which is part of the wolven territory. Here you will find that this place is commonly used for hunting or just somewhere to relax and shade from the heat of the afternoon sun. Deeper still into the woods, you will find a lake. It shimmers and its water mirrors any reflection with ease. These are one of the last few places that were left untouched by Man because they failed to find them and so here would be counted as a safe haven by most wolves. TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES MADE US RESORT TO RPING HERE. SORRY FOR ANY INCONVIENIENCE CAUSED...

At night I'll hang my head in shame... ~Ẑℯ√ тℌℯ ß@ḓαṧṧ ◎ᾔℯ ~ Through the mysterious land that was the forest Zev proudly bolted through like a strike of lightning. Thanks to the top canopy the heat of the sun was blocked out and so she easily found the energy within herself to run and to keep on running and as she did so she held her head high and sniffed at the air, searching for something to chase at. Zev was the queen of her castle and if she wanted to get something to chase at, she'd get something to chase at; no questions asked. On the path she was taking, it was heavily fortified by trees, brush and plants; mostly ferns. Besides looking around herself, Zev found the time to think about a few interesting things such as how she became the alpha female. Her past always cropped up one way or another and she mostly used it to keep the rest of the pack in check when the need arose. I'm invincible I tell you, INVINCIBLE! I killed off that alpha b***h and held the entire pack to ransom... At fifteen human-years-old! Zev thought to herself happily.
She continued to race herself deeper into the woods and the only trace she left behind what the deep pawprints she had created in the dirt which would soon be concealed by the growing ferns on the forest floor. Soon to come was the sound of the thunder clap which completed the package of the usual combination of 'thunder and lightning' as Zev crash-landed lob-sidedly into a leafy bush. She'd hit it head first and the first thing you'd expect from that sort of impact would be a groan, a moan and a whimper. But, instead of just laying there doing any of the things I just listed for you, Zev fumbled upwards, shook her head and merely shrugged the whole thing off. A miscaluculation, that's all... ... all because I still remember your name...

The booming resonance of thunder overhead, the sudden standstill of the she-wolf that was hurriedly weaving upwards. One wolf ear twitched and turned, with anxious yellow eyes scanning over the greenery near which she stood. In her mouth hung a scrap of warm fur. The black hairs nearer to she wolf's mouth were black and spiked with saliva, like hedgehog prickles. The cub, unable to turn its head, squirmed, tiny folds for ears flattening at the thunderous noise in the clouds. She whimpered and complained, and continued to struggle.
The loning wolves were standing on the sheer slopes of a mountain, following a dusty deer trail that bordered the edge of a vast, dark, unfamiliar wood. Pines stretched upwards like the skyscrapers of nature, tense and taut against the clenching clouds above them. Riyora, the grey traveller, could feel the static tension from the storm that was gathering - fidgety and restless, just like Iarni in her mouth. The cub struggled even more, and Riyora complied, letting the youngster to crouch at her paws. Iarni's cloudy blue eyes were frightened and uneasy, reflecting the identical emotion in her sister's golden eyes. Riyora panted slightly and let the tongue hang out.
"We have to rest for a while, Iarni," she said between breaths, looking around constantly, before she finally lay down in the dust, overlooking the sheer drop a mere two or three meters away. "And also to find something to eat... I haven't eaten... in days." The cub snuggled up to her, aware of the danger they were in. In another wolf's territory... One exhausted female, and one helpless cub. Riyora was in full knowledge of the peril she was leading her orphan sister into by invading this country... But if the other wolves here failed to pick up on their scents (which was highly unlikely), they might just have a chance to slip through and continue on their journey...

At night I'll hang my head in shame... ~Ẑℯ√ тℌℯ ß@ḓαṧṧ ◎ᾔℯ ~ As time went by, Zev grew tired of her endless-seeming run and came to a sudden halt. As she stopped Zev took the time to notice that the weather had taken a turn for the worst at a quick pace, just like her stopping and although the canopy would shade Zev from most of the rain's punishing torture, she didn't like running in the rain because it just wasn't nice; there's just no other way of putting it. Besides the change in the weather, something else had caught her attention, now to become her full attention. What's this...? I sense something of interest in the distance... Zev's nose went tip first into the air as she sniffed with curiosity. It was a wolf; in fact a pair of wolves and neither of them belonged here. This meant they were not welcome and also that they were prey to the paws of Zev and as the 'local' pack's leader as she liked to put it, it was her duty to dispose any thing or better anybody that could potentially pose a threat to her pack.
As rain began to pour, Zev continued on the path to what she had been sniffing out. She kept her distance; watching from afar behind some ferns and brush. Neither of the wolves she was eye-balling looked too happy with themselves and they were desolate. This was though-provoking to Zev because she had not seen a lone wolf in a while, and to see two was something the alpha female had endeavoured to encounter for a while. More to play with... She pricked up her ears and marched proudly towards them. "What the hell do you think you're doing here?" Zev taunted and laughed at her opening line. It made her laugh because a) it was intended to be rhetorical and b) it was the only thing she could come up with. ... all because I still remember your name...

A strange feeling of dread arrived home as Riyora watched a sheet of rain hurry towards them. The sound arrived first - the rapid, hissing noise of millions of water droplets pounding the pine leaves and the rocks, now darkened and glossy. Cloudy dust became soggy and pasty. Without warning, Riyora lunged for Iarni, and fled from the rain with her sibling. Water in itself didn't bother her at all, but the wolf understood that a cub as young as her sister could not cope with the sudden cold of a drenching. Riyora's ears flattened as her own pelt became dotted with dark spots. She hurried for a thick mess of ferns that reached out like welcome, curling feathers. Iarni scurried under the foliage, but not in defence agains the rain.
A young she-wolf with shaggy white fur stood facing them. Her grin was malicious and unwavering. Her tone - confident and authorative. The powerful voice of an alpha. But... surely... a wolf this young-looking...?
Riyora whipped around, growling ferociously. She was aware that she was in enemy territory but refused to appear weak. Had she been wiser, a more recessive reaction would have placed her in a safer situation, especially when facing an unfamiliar alpha... But Riyora was not practical. Her fur was on end and her tail was held aloft in the pose of aggression. Iarni shivered amidst the ferns, invisible.
"What's it to you?!" Riyora snarled viciously, provocatively. "That kind of information is none of your business! We are just passing through. Leave us alone!"

At night I'll hang my head in shame... ~Ẑℯ√ тℌℯ ß@ḓαṧṧ ◎ᾔℯ ~ Zev gave a broad grin as the wolf retorted, but she always had an answer to everything. Somehow she found herself going in closer still, raising her tail high and baring her fangs. "It's everything to me.... you're here, you came by your own will and you will remain by my own. But, as all things have a concequence, you'll remain here: dead. You don't belong, you're a threat. You should have stayed away." Zev then put her fangs away but still in a confident manner she found that she was in a position to yawn and looked bored, but in a sense that would almost mock the intruders. "Actually, killing you might not be so fun after all. You'll perish out here besides, only we know where the prey are; that'll be fun to watch." Zev then marched around the invader and inspected every aspect of her. Skin-thin, gone without food, useless if I were to get her to join my pack... such a waste...
Once she'd finished what she intended to do, Zev sat back and then paused to point out something else. "Wait a moment, there was a cub here earlier too. Where's that runt got to? Squirmy little blighters they are," she gave a broad grin that was neither kind nor hateful but neutral. "Shame though, that one'd probably follow you to the very end. Cubs don't have a mind of their own, I think." Zev laughed at her own joke and almost accidentally spat fire, which was not intended to happen.

Rioyra bared her teeth harder (OOC confused ), refusing to show how weak she physically - and mentally - was. She didn't like the look of this cocky, self-impressed young alpha. Still proud of her achievement as the pack leader, Riyora guessed. A small part of the she-wolf urged her to be more unassertive, like any wolf below an alpha should have been, but still she wanted to defend her sense of honour.
"You think I can't hunt?" she challenged. "I'm a wolf, I can take care of myself. I can hunt anything, I've taken down stags by myself! Ever since my pack was wiped out, I've been taking care of myself... and my sister." Her growl intensified, resonating through her throat and her whole body. "And don't you talk about my sister like that! She only follows me, because... because... I'm all she's got left. And she's all I've got left."
Suddenly overcome with emotion, Riyora's ears flattened and her eyes became wrought with misery. She shut them tightly as she remembered her past... The pain of watching the white dog run off with two squirming cubs in its mouth... watching her snarling mother and roaring father pursue it... A few booming shots ringing out... The memory was too hard to bear, and the wolf staggered. Riyora was weak. She wouldn't be able to fight this stranger.
Iarni poked her head out of the ferns, staring at her sister, then at the white wolf. The diamond in her forehead caught the light (OOC: but it's raining mun...) and glinted like a star. Her blue eyes became serene and calm, and Riyora met her gaze, suddenly reminded of her purpose in life - to protect her younger sister. They were both the last surviving remnants of the Diamond Mountain Pack, they could not afford to die...Then she walked over to her sister and nudged her tenderly with her muzzle, turning her head halfway to look at the white wolf with her sorrowful, beautiful yellow eyes. "Please... Don't hurt us... I beg of you..."
OOC: Hah hah, this is so fun. xD

At night I'll hang my head in shame... ~Ẑℯ√ тℌℯ ß@ḓαṧṧ ◎ᾔℯ ~ Zev huffed heavily as she worked out the situation. One wolf wanted to go down fighting and the other wanted to be all peaceful. This made things difficult but Zev in her layed-back manor and was so-far opting for the cub's idea since she was borne idle and if she could avoid tearing yet another wolf to shreds, the better things would be for her. Still, her taunting strategy was on-going and no matter what the older wolf said, she'd fight back. "Of course you can hunt, stupid. But, what happens if my pack chases the prey away, hm? An entire pack against the pair of you is only going to go one way; you and I both know the answer to that. We will follow them and you'll be too exhausted to keep up. They'll be dead and being digested inside us long before you even get a chance."
Zev took a few steps back, layed down on the now soggy dirt and crossed her paws as if the take interest. "Anyway," she began, "if you can 'take care of yourself' as you put it, how come you haven't advanced at me yet? What are you waiting for, she-wolf? Another way around things?"

Riyora's eyes narrowed and she stood away from Iarni. For some reason this white wolf was aggravating her deeply. Why was this stranger being so rude? After finding out about Riyora's traumatic past? Never before had she been spoken to in such a jeering manner - as the daughter of alphas herself, Riyora had been a respected and loved member of her family. Yet again... Riyora had known no other wolves other than her pack. She was unaccustomed to strangers...
"What are you talking about?" she retorted. "It's not my aim to become an alpha... Not yet, anyway. Taking care of oneself doesn't mean becoming a leader... Whoever said being a leader was a safe position, anyway?" A dark smile tugged at her jowls. "What did you do to become alpha? Kill the old leader? Fight her off? Leave her to bleed to death? No, if I become a leader, it won't be through cold-blooded murder! I will earn my rank, like any noble wolf would!" By now her tone had escalated into a pumped-up growl, full of energy.

At night I'll hang my head in shame... ~Ẑℯ√ тℌℯ ß@ḓαṧṧ ◎ᾔℯ ~ Zev continued to lay belly-flopped on the ground but she uncrossed her paws and examined the claws on her right paw: these were her favourite for swiping and although she had been trampling in the mud, both paws remained clean and the tips of the claws were pearl-white, along with her canines which were always flashed one way or another during threatning others. "All ready and pre-sharpened. The perfect weapon wouldn't you say?" Zev asked yet another rhetorical question. "Mind you, I really don't want to use it," she grinned crudely, revealing the tyrannical side of her. To her, Zev's words were bitter-sweet and they pleased her. It was when she was alone she could finally reveal her barbarous nature; her real nature. She did not care about this stranger's pack 'snuffing' it, the only thing she cared about was the survival of her own and defending their territory which was exactly what the rest of them did.
Zev had twisted their minds and taken them to the edge of insanity and back again and most of them were now blissful in their ignorance. The source of this was that all of their ancestors who witnessed the truth long ago were sleeping in their grave and sworn to secrecy. They wisely chose to take it to their graves and not share it with others, or at least that's was Zev thought. Anyway, this meant nothing to the intruders and Zev decided it best to keep it that way. It was just a matter of confusion as to how a young wolf such as herself had managed to take power over the local pack.

Riyora looked downwards to the white wolf's claws, also taking note of her shining teeth. "Is that supposed to intimidate me?" she jeered, angling her head to one side and lifting her lips slightly, to reveal her own glistening fangs. "I come with my own weapons..." She spread her toes and flexed them, her black claws shining somewhat. However, being a wolf, her claws would have little effect as a tool in battle. The only weapon that could shed blood that all of her kind were born with were their teeth - the reason why the cat was a superior battler, a predator with a fatal swipe as well as a deathly bite, and an exceptional muscle and bone structure. For the wolf, it all depended on strength, size, teeth... and intelligence.
By now her pelt was darkened from the rain, and she secretly relished the feel of the water sliding down her face. Riyora's fur was spiked, in the same way Iarni's had just been. Her eyes, yellow as a canary's feathers, glared outwards in the same way lightning contrasts starkly agains the blackness of the clouds. She was not strong enough to fight... but she had to try and at least daunt the younger wolf, even if it was to an extent.
For a few moments, both wolves remained staring at one another, until Iarni stepped out of the ferns. Her step was unnaturally graceful for a pup's. Her blue eyes bored into Riyora's, pleading for her to step down. Despite her tender age and form, her eyes and expression had the same intensity as the wisest of wolves. Then she turned to Zev with her calm gaze. "Please," she softly murmured. "I'm hungry. And tired... Can I sleep somewhere for a bit? And my sister, too..."
Riyora stared, completely bewildered and confused, at Iarni. The cub seemed to have no fear whatsoever. The snarl slackened, and she closed her eyes. I got carried away... again! What's happening to me?

At night I'll hang my head in shame... ~Ẑℯ√ тℌℯ ß@ḓαṧṧ ◎ᾔℯ ~ Zev sat up straight at the voice of the cub or the 'squirmy little blighter' as she'd called her earlier. Zev had just been owned badly by not words but movement. Now that ain't no squirmy blighter... she stared blankly for a while, trying her best to comprehend what on Earth had just happened. Zev clearly wasn't the only unusual wolf here and it amused her slightly. After some staring, Zev dragged her gaze away from the cub and set it straight back on Riyora, except it was more of a head inclined to the left and an eyebrow raised which in total gave an expression you'd see on an American's face, not being rude to Americans of course. It was a sort of face that seemed to shout out 'puh-lease'. "If I was trying to intimidate you hun', you'd know about it. I was just pointing out the obvious, as I usually tend to do; but it's not as if I'm going to apoligise for that." Zev uttered in a more lax tone.
"Right then," Zev grumbled as she finished pulling faces at the pair of them, "anything else you'd like me to know about before I start playing happy-families...? Is there anyone else lurking about who's ready to jump out and try to snap my throat?" she then snapped to attention just to make fun of herself and began searching around herself with her beady eyes. She then sat back down again, laughed and shook her entire body because she was getting sopping wet.

Riyora's eyes widened in pure amazement. The change in this white wolf had been enormous. It was as if she'd been defeated, somehow, by Iarni. "N-no..." she stammered a reply, unsure of what to say exactly. "Nobody else... just me and my sister..." She could not even muster up the energy to feel smug about Iarni's effortless win over the strange wolf. And besides... Riyora was not the gloating type (OOC: huh...). Self-assured at times, yes, but not that obnoxious.
Iarni lost all elegance and suddenly fell into puppy-world once more. Rat-like tail weaving in the air, she stumbled over to Riyora and nuzzled her sister's long forelegs with excited, nervous enthusiasm. The older she-wolf raised her eyes to meet the white's, and her eyes became apologetic and serene at once. "My name is Riyora," she stated softly. "Iarni is my sister. We are of the Diamond Mountain Pack... Or, what's left of it..." She paused for a moment, to take a brisk, inaudible breath. Iarni turned to face the alpha, blue eyes sparkling like twin (OOC: rolls of stinky cheese) pools of the deepest water, laughing and kind at the same time, thankful and amused.
