Yes, it is possible to be politically progressive and also be Christian. In fact, we are progressive BECAUSE we are Christian. This is a place for debate, but it's mostly for those of us Progressive Christians who feel a little lonely in the world of the "religious" right. This isn't just your run-of-the-mill Christian guild. This is a political guild. This is a guild for liberals and progressives who do not like the way the right has been using our religion. This is a guild mostly made for Christians, but non-Christians are welcome.
Rules
1. There will be no name-calling or attacks of any kind.
2. If you make a claim, back it up. Whether you use the bible, a scholarly source, or a personal anecdote, just back it up with something. You can't argue something that has absolutely no evidence or backing.
3. In your application to join the guild, include a couple of sentences that explain why you are fed up with the misrepresentation of Christianity. Include the sentence "I am a banana!" in the application as well.
