'Ancient words, sorrowful songs, secret spells, undead guardians. Legends of those who walked an ancient city that floated in the sky linger throughout the songs of bards.'

From the ground, many will search the sky for answers. Yet many never found this ancient city, a cluster of floating islands that hung in the sky, far out in the wildest of wilderness.
Everything changed when a war among mages erupted in the world. Suddenly, sages of lore were looking everywhere for an advantage, and people were recruited by the hundreds to the ranks of spellcasters. This ancient city of magic was exposed to the world, and people on all sides were vying to control this Yuno, with its wealth of knowledge and its unassailable location in the clouds.
The City of Yuno, however, used these advantages to remain unshakably neutral in the war, a safe haven for those who chose not pick sides. It has been nearly ten years since the dust has settled and the war ended, and Yuno has become a bustling metropolis.
The islands vary in size, and the largest, the one upon which the City of Yuno sits, is clearly a centerpoint. Upon it is a large city with buildings of ancient structure and design. Graceful parks and fountains, arching walkways, spiraling towers. A river runs across the island, its source unknown. There is clearly magic here, something that has survived eons unphased. Immense circles of glyphs are set into the paving stones underfoot, and they still glow faintly when night falls.
Carved of stone, the city shows little wear despite its age. It was in days long past and is again now a city of learning and magic, with sprawling libraries and museums with vaulted ceilings. While many people have taken up residence in the once abandonded buildings, the city remains curiously free of animal life.
Most prominent of the architechture in the city is Clocktower. It winds upwards towards the sky, elegant spires that fly the rich purple banner of the Yuno. This building is a center of research and learning, finest minds in the city populating its laboratories and meeting halls.
The city is located on the largest of islands, however, it isn't the only island floating in this expanse of sky. A myriad of smaller, largely unpopulated islands share the sky around Yuno. Bridges arch outwards from the main island, connecting to many of the smaller islands.

We welcome you all to Tales of Yuno, a literate roleplaying guild that we hope will bring you joy.
