It is a calm night, the sky is clear of clouds, and the trees dance and sway in a slight breeze outside your window. Your sheets are an odd combination of wrapped tightly around you, and somewhere on the floor around the bed, as your dream is frustrating you to no end... You dream about the things you want but can't have, and unfulfilled wishes of a better place.

Suddenly the dream seems more real, and the image of a man in a white cloak standing in a grassy field looking off into the distance appears in your mind. Slowly, he turns to face you, and he begins to speak...

Would you like to come to a world where magic is real...?
Where you could be the hero you always wanted to be...?
They say that such a place doesn't exist...
They are mistaken.
There is a world for people like you who have always dreamed of such a place.
Would you like to go there?

The man holds out his hand to you. You know it's only a dream, but you reach out and put your hand in his anyway.

Welcome to Ar'Kelenoth...
Welcome... to My world.

Suddenly you sit bolt upright in your bed... only to find you aren't in your bed. You are in what appears to be an old fashioned, but very neat and clean, inn. The door to your room opens and an innkeeper who appears to be middle-aged enters carrying a tray with food on it. Although he appears to be middle-aged, something about him gives you the impression he's been around since the beginning of time... and a right impression it is too. Bannis, as the innkeeper was called, Had been around since the beginning of time... the beginning of time on This world anyway.

"Good morning, Young one. My name is Bannis, and You have been asleep for a good number of hours. As you are new here, let me tell you a bit about the Dawning World..."

The old man has a kind, gentle smile and you find yourself feeling immediately comfortable around him as he sits down and tells you of the "Dawning World" and why you're here.
