          Story
It is the year 2046. Nerve Gear technology is nothing new, and most people have them whether they play VRMMORPGs often or not. The Gear streams a virtual world into the user's mind by stimulating all the senses to create a realistic experience in online gaming. Players gain control over their in-game personas using just their minds. For years, this type of gaming has become the norm, even after its rocky start.

A VRMMORPG by the name of Fardor Avil Online was originally created by a rather small gaming company. The system was designed to run on its own, like most of its breed, with occasional assistance from admins. No bugs or viruses were the cause of the turn-of-events in FAO, but rather a party of players. Two users who had been playing since the VRMMORPG came out, and been in touch with a few of the admins' in-game characters, managed to hack FAO's system. The two effectively began the start of a crisis this sort of gaming was once notorious for. Logging out is no longer an option, and every player who was online at the time finds themselves stuck in a game that has just truly begun.
