Iwagakure no sato (石に隠れる村, Hidden Rock Village; Literally meaning "Village Hidden in the Rocks" wink , is located in the Land of Earth. The shinobi of Iwagakure specialize in earth-based jutsu making the terrain the village its placed in ideal for its ninja to easily overcome any opponent who dare to attack their home. As one of the five Great Shinobi Villages, it also has a Kage, who oversees the day-to-day processes and the goings-on within it's walls, called the Tsuchikage.

Semi-annual tournaments (the Chuunin Exams) lets hopeful genin fight for their chance to advance rank, Missions in the guild and around various parts of Gaia introduce our shinobi to the Gaian population. Those things are all done here.
