The site before me brings me great joy. The Justice Hall of Gaia has been rebuilt and staring at its almost regal like walls brings a tear to my eye. In the past, I had to protect these grounds by myself due to the lack of popularity I had with my fellow Gaians. But soon, I hope to have this building filled with heroes willing to serve and protect both the hall and Gaia. I have learned from my past mistakes. I pledge to be a much more mature hero and to exercise great self - control as a protector of the innocent. I step inside and begin the preparations for my new team...

Welcome to this guild called the Justice League: Gaian Future! This guild will hopefully lead it's members into a wonderfully fulfilling and highly structured RPG based in the DC comics universe. Although I say DC, I will be allowing you to choose between an already created DC hero or an original hero you create. Please be patient and attentative here as I have a little bit of information to pass on to you fi you would like to join. Feel free to scan for the important stuff but if you forget anything in your application, I will ask for it again.

First off, please do no immediately hit the "join guild" button. Instead, send me a private message with the coming information. In this way, you won't be limited by the character amount when you hit "join guild" (There, you only get 2,000 words). I will be accepting 30 members (including myself) and dividing them into three roleplaying groups based on the time you can roleplay. I will be going into detail about that as soon as I get thirty members. In the meantime, here is the information I will be needing from you

Super Hero Secret Identity: This can be any name you choose as long as it fits standard name types. Please don't call yourself andy_starwars20. Something like Duke Willis or Z'alteth is what I'm looking for.

Super Hero Name: This may either be the name of an actual DC comic hero or a hero name you've come up with. If you want to roleplay (or RP) a DC hero, keep in mind that some can only be played by one person. In the case that I get multiple application for the same DC hero or for similar original heroes, the person I deem has the best roleplaying example will get the hero. If you don't win this, I will PM you back letting you know to send back a new application. The following list will let you know what heroes from the DC universe will be chooseable

Only One Player to These Characters: Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Robin, Aquaman. Cyborg, Green Arrow
Multiple People Can Play These Characters: Green Lantern (as there were multpile GLs for any particular universe sector), The Flash (I'll be accepting about two or three.), Hawk people (I'll be accepting one Hawkman and one Hawkgirl.)
Characters Too Obscure For My Taste (Not Being Allowed): Martian Manhunter, Apache Chief, Black Vulcan, Samurai, Firestorm, Beast Boy, Raven, Starfire, Atom, El Dorado, the Wonder Twins

If you think of any hero I haven't listed here, choose them in your application. I will decide whether or not to allow them... chances are though that if I haven't listed it here it's probably too obscure for my tastes.

If you want to make your own character, my only rules are #1 -- BE CREATIVE! Don't just make a clone of another hero from one of the many comic/hero universes. Don't, however, let that discourage you from using your favorite super powers for your hero. And #2 -- BE FAIR MINDED IN YOU CREATION! What I mean by this is that I want to have a fair RPG, not just a bunch of god - moding. The following category will explain further.

Super Hero Age: The age of you character... I would appreciate it if we kept this anywhere from 17 years old to 40 years old (no super seniors or whiney junior high school brats please).

Super Powers: These can be anything from flying to laser eyes. If you're using a DC character, it should be obvious what these are. If you have trouble remembering or describing a DC hero, ask me. If you're making an original character, again... BE CREATIVE AND FAIR MINDED! Maybe you like how Mr. Fantastic can stretch. But to make it your own, maybe your hero can only stretch parts of his/her own body or maybe they can fly as well as stretch. Also, call them something original like maybe the Elasti - Man (Use that if you like.) Seriously, I don't care if your name is Craig Ferguson and you have a laser bagpipe and super sonic comedy voice. See how easy being creative is?

As to being fair minded, take into mind my character -- The Green Lantern. His only limitation to his powers are his imagination. For a lot of these categories, in fact, you can see where the limit is by looking at The Green Lantern.

Super Hero Weakness: There will be MAJOR judgment calls going on for this category. Again, take a look at Green Lantern. His only weaknesses are #1, he's mortal despite having these powers -- #2, the ring's energies cannot affect anything of the color yellow (the two colors neutralize each other) -- and #3, the ring must be recharged every 24 hours. So while he can't exactly be sapped of his powers like Superman, he does have limitations.

Acceptable Weaknesses: Not being able to effect certain items/people/elements, items that sap your power, certain elements (such as time of day or elements (water or fire)) that affect your powers effectiveness or when you can even use your powers, even mortality is acceptable (Batman's true weakness is mortality.)

Non - Acceptable: Items that are rare or incredibly hard to acquire in game (If Superman is chosen, I will roleplay situations where Lex Luthor comes into play to avoid random kryptonite appearances as Lex has always had some inexhaustible supply.)

Again, just remember to be fair minded.

Super Hero Archnemesis: If you would like to give your hero a mortal enemy, please state their name, powers, and weaknesses here. I will judge them with the same criteria as your hero.

Time Of Day Available to Roleplay: In other words, give me the time period of the day where you will be available to get onto Gaia Online and roleplay your hero. This will help me divide you into the three groups. Please give me a time based on Pacific Standard Time as that is the time zone I live in.

Roleplaying Example: Write a small example of your roleplaying ability here. This can range from anything to romantic encounters, scene descriptions (like what I've done in my journal), or even battles. Remember to keep these within the Gaia Online rules (PG -13). This will help me understand your RPing ability and divide teams even better. Plus, it will let me judge who gets a character if there are multiple applications for one character.

After you send me this information, I will judge whether it's ready to be accepted, whether it needs work, or whether you need to reapply because your character has already been chosen (DC or original). Once you've been accepted, I will send you a confirmation code in a private message. DO NOT GIVE THIS CODE AWAY... KEEP IT A SECRET! I will only accept any one code ONCE!!! Use it for your character only please. Once you get this code, now you may hit the "join guild" button. Write the confirmation code down in the application and send it. Then I'll accept you into the guild.

Please be patient as I will being dealing with 29 or more applications... each with all this information I'm requiring. It will take some time to process this information and get the guild going. But once we get all the formalities out of the way, I can begin choosing team leaders (also based on your roleplaying example) and then we can start creating storylines for characters to roleplay. Again, it will take time but it will be worth it when we finally start RPing. More extensive rules and explanations will be given out at that time.

Alright... thank for your time! I hope to see you in the Justice League Gaian Future guild! Green Lantern out!
