It all takes place years after the cats have settled into the lake. Now, instead of two legs, a new problem threatens them. Wolves of the Arcines pack have started a war with the cats and have taken over the territory where the old HorsePlace, Riverclan, Windclan, ShadowClan and most of ThunderClan.

The only safe place for the cats to live is from the old ThunderPath to the edge of the borders and the MoonPool. Now the cats must unite to reclaim thei home. But can they set asside their differeces?
