Story
Long ago, in the vortex of chaos, a single egg formed among the darkness. From that egg, Arceus was born. Arceus created Dialga and Palkia, the creators of time and space. Along with them, the beings of willpower, knowledge, and emotion came to existence; Azelf, Uxie, and Mesprit. Through these five creations, the universe was created. After this, the six beings fell into deep slumber.
Since then, the world they created continued to live on. With it, their creations, humans and Pokémon alike, lived together in mutual harmony. Some together, some separate; but, all relied on each other. Now, however, something has happened. Arceus has grown restless. His powers shift and morph, and with each ejection of raw energy he lets out, chaos ensues. Natural disasters plague the world, and the Pokémon grow irritated and aggressive.
These energy blasts have caused interference within other worlds and universes as well. Each blast interrupts it's daily life, and individuals from different universes are pulled into Arceus' world. Can these individuals save this world, and theirs, from Arceus' destructive power? Or, will they fail and watch as their homes and loved ones are destroyed?

Rules
Follow Gaia's Terms of Service. This means no sexual scenes, no extreme violence, and no excessive cursing.
Semi-literacy is the minimum! Be sure to type at least one paragraph in your posts! This means five to seven full sentences, and doesn't include speech or thoughts. No asterisks or hyphens to show actions. Pretend you're writing a book or an essay when working on posts.
Characters start in starter towns! Your characters begins their journey in the starting town of whichever region you wish, and their starter Pokémon will be level five--check out the Pokémon Database website to see the appropriate attacks. Their backpack will contain five Pokéballs, five potions, a sleeping bag, and some food which will last them a trip to their next destination. There is also a small amount of money. Money can be earned by beating other trainers, whether NPCs or other player characters!
All attacks can be kept. In the games, you can only have four Pokémon attacks. However, I am allowing your Pokémon to keep all their attacks. You're not limited. As for HMs and TMs, HMs can be learned if it complies to your Pokémon's type (i.e. A Flying-type can learn Flying HM moves). TMs must be bought and learned manually. The same goes for Move Tutor moves.
Animated characters only. Animal-formed creatures will be, magically, transformed into humanoid form. If you are applying for someone like Cartoon Network's Jake the Dog or one of the My Little Ponies, they will need a humanoid form. That can be completely human if you want, or an anthro. It's up to you.
Dead/fate unknown characters are welcome. If a character you want to play has died or disappeared with no clear fate in the show/game they're from, they can appear here. However, since this mostly speaks for antagonists, they will need to suck up their pride and work with their enemies so they're not destroyed by Arceus.
Formats aren't required. Most people will be using them, but you don't have to do it so long as you mention who your character is, where they are, and their Pokémon are in the post.
NPCs will be played by Mods! This doesn't include a small encounter with an unnamed Pokémon trainer. Those are up to you. However, NPCs such as Gym Leaders or Team Rocket/Team Galactic will be played by a Moderator of the guild. PM whichever one you'd like to whichever Mod of your choice in order to start a Pokémon battle between your character and the NPC.
Three characters per role player. If you have not been active enough with your previous characters, I and the Mods reserve the right to hold off on accepting your reserve/profile. You also cannot play two characters from the same canon. For example, if you play Kira/Light Yagami from Death Note, you cannot play L.
One OC per role player is allowed. I am not going to flip out if you want to make an original character. However, I need to approve it first, so the profile must be sent to me through PM. Your OC can be from your own original world if you wish as well. Just remember that each role player is allowed THREE characters, and the OC counts as one.
All sexualities are allowed! If there is a character with no clear preference (Seto from Yu-Gi-Oh!, L from Death Note, or any others) you have the authority to choose their sexuality. However, characters who do have a set preference are to remain that way. As for OCs, you can make their preferences since it is your own character.
The PokéDex has new uses! Characters can use them to call or send text messages to other characters, as long as you are clear on who it is being sent to in your posts. It also has video chat and all that fancy stuff.
Going on hiatus or dropping out? In terms of hiatus, either you or I can make up a reason for why your character is not active. If you are dropping, we can simply say that the same weird force which brought your character to the Pokémon world sent them back. However, you cannot rejoin as this character if you do rejoin once you've quit.
Special abilities don't work in the Pokémon world! If your character has any magical powers or a magic weapon, all that goes bye-bye. However, abilities such as flight as long as they have wings is welcome. We will also make small exceptions if we don't think the ability isn't something major like transformation or teleportation.
Pokémon characters are not allowed. Playing characters like Ash, Misty, and all those lovely people isn't an option. However, you're more than welcome to PM or profile comment a moderator if you wish to have a random battle with someone like that.
All generation of Pokémon are available for starters. Out in the wild, only Pokémon native to that region will be available, unless an announcement stating otherwise pops up. You don't have to worry about checking to see which Pokémon are native to that certain area; if it can be found anywhere in the region, then it can be found in all places in this role play. Arceus' outbursts allow this.
Legendary Pokémon can be captured! However, you must claim the Legendary in the monthly contest. The Legendary's stats will be listed, which will show you if you can control that Pokémon or not. If you can't, and you do win it, well....Tough luck. You'll just have to level up.
Gym Badges are required! In order to control a high-level and fully-evolved Pokémon, you need to collect Badges of that Pokémon's native region. If you have a Pokémon from Kanto but you're in Hoenn and your Pokémon evolves fully and levels up completely, in order to control this Pokémon, you'll need to go to Kanto and battle for the Badges.
