Once upon a time...
In the year 2056, all the smoke and pollution from our buildings and cars and everything else, finally blocked the sky, and no sun could get in, our scientists have tried to alter our human genetics to survive without the sun, but they created a monster.
2070, all experiments have all ended the same, turning humans into creatures of shadows.
2071, also known as 00DF, Darkness Fell. They escaped. They terrorized and destroyed every major city in the world, using the darkness to travel, they knocked out all power to the world and killed 98% of all humanity. Luckily for us, we had the military, elite soldiers trained to fight other humans, stood up to the nightmarish creatures.
The Lost City and the Front Line
10 outposts surround a large outpost that was once the border of Canada and the United States where their primary focus is to protect the citizens. Civilians are born and raised and live in enclosed plasma domes that somehow seem to repel the Nightmares. The entire planet now runs on huge electric generators to power water recycling and food production.
There is one main outpost that stands out, it is the group of the Front Line.
The year is now 150DF, and the world is under constant attack by creatures we created. They’re called Nightmares. The last large battle, the battle at the Lost City between humans and Nightmares changed the way the rest of the world survived.
There have been new discoveries with the way the Nightmares have begun to evolve; sunlight is no safe haven, no respite. Scientists have developed a way for soldiers to live longer than the normal human, due to the shortages of human life. Though it is only given to the soldiers because of the difficulties one has to go through, to obtain it.
During the Battle of the Lost City new creatures were discovered, and most of those, who stood up against them were cut down. The brave troop was an expeditionary force from the southmost outpost The Front Line. There were many brave soldiers, who met their end that day, including the late Commander Gale. His Lieutenant, second in command at that time, stepped up and made sure the rest of the surviving squad made it to safe grounds. A price was paid but in the end more knowledge was gained about the failed experiments of the late scientists when they tried to create a stronger being.

The elite soldiers of Commander Bella Nightsong are the best mankind has to offer, their main goal is to save the rest of humanity and defeat the evil that we humans have created.
