Yeah the title says Bidelle, who do you think I am?

A: That's a good question. :O I'm selling custom made Windows XP shell themes.

Q: What are XP shell themes?

A: Shell themes are visual styles applied to the windows and menus of Windows XP.

Q: Got any examples?

A: I sure do. See below. biggrin

I don't recommend doing so if you're on a very slow connection. It'll take a while. D:

1.) My Cup of Tea
This was my first theme. The picture of the teacup was found on DeviantArt, and I modified it to feature a picture of my original character, Bidelle, and a faint ghost of my symbol for NMHB, my studio. I basically just turned Windows XP's everything green and created a custom start button. Not complicated, just cute. biggrin

2.) City Rain
This theme is a bit more comlicated than the last. The background I drew from scratch, and it features my two original characters, Seegie and Tsunami. My user icon was drawn by Cabin Boy (it's of Tsunami) but everything else was my design. I created custom everything- menus, buttons, start panels, icondrops, everything. It's one of the less simple themes I've made, also, it's the darkest.

3.) Dive For You
Inspired by the song "Dive For You" by the Boom Boom Satellites. It's very simple, custom everything to match the wallpaper, which features my own art of my OC, Bidelle. It's plain and flat, just the way I like it.

4.) The Hidden Village of Leaf
This is for all you Naruto fans out there. I love the anime, and was commissioned by Zer to make a theme featuring the three main characters from the anime. The wallpaper IS NOT MINE. The theme, however, is. I worked around the yellow on Naruto-kun to create the window styles. I created four scrolls with the elements for the start panel, and made a custom start button of one of the ninja-clouds you see all over in the art books. (By the way, on all of these, the start button changes on a mouse-over or when you click it)

5.) Chrome and Fuschia
This theme was made featuring PieceofStahr's version of my OC, Bidelle. (I love Stahr, she rocks so hard) The wallpaper was made by me, using a silouhette of the art as shown in the start panel. The problem with the resized screenshot is that I used scanlines on it, so it seems darker than it really is. Anyway, dark fuschia is my favorite color, so I had to make a theme with it. I also made custom cursors for this one, which are not shown.

6.) Growth Beyond Reason
This entire theme I cannot truly take credit for. The background is "Growth Beyond Reason", a piece on DeviantArt (used with permission). I didn't like the wallpaper's original version, though, so I modified it to be much more simple (I editted out a large amount of black shapes and other graphical add-ons that cluttered up the picture). The theme itself is actually a modification of an existing theme of "Orqua". I made the start panel (it was far too light and distracting before) and the start button. The gray and red were the base of the theme and the only thing I didn't change.

7.) Blue Warrior
My first true commissioned one. This theme was commissioned by Jetzudan (for 35k at auction) and features a piece of a warrior, provided by Jetzudan. I made the wallpaper around the original piece (which was originally very small and very orange). I made everything else, which was complicated since I've never really done many swords before. I bet you can tell. XD

8.) Violet Rose
My newest theme, commissioned by Care_e! A simple theme set for a 1024 x 768, featuring all original art and a similar concept as seen in Chrome and Fuschia. Screen cap provided by the client herself. biggrin

9.) Silver Angel and Gold Angel
Commissioned by Alexi Jameson of a theme to fit around a piece of Lang art. It's my most technical so far, with inspirations from a few technical themes I had lying around.

It's a strange resolution, so it was difficult to code correctly. Furthermore, my system couldn't reach that resolution, so I had to do guesswork. D:

The second version is all the improvements that needed to be done. I'll have the cursorwork up soon.

No WinAmp this time.

10.) Seegie Arix
A new one I made for myself shortly before my tablet broke. It's based on a Painting I did In Procreate Painter 7 of my character, Seegie Arix. It's one of the darkest themes I've done, and I used experimental coding for the bars (not shown) so I'm very proud of it! It's so beautiful!

ATTENTION, I am no longer offering Cursors/Minesweeper/Solitaire!!! Only Spider!
They do not transfer well to my webspace, so unless you're willing to pay for a CD-R shipped to you, it most likely will not happen. I'm sorry for those of you who ordered cursors or games, it's just hellish to try to trick my server into thinking that it's something it's not. No, I do not do Pinball. D:

Well, the prices depend on what you'll be buying. But here's the breakdown:
Mind you, these prices can and will change based on demand.
ALSO! I take items!!!

What you Can Buy:

A Background
A Custom XP Theme, simple, no start menu (Like Green Tea)
A Custom XP Theme, complicated (Varying from Chrome and Fuschia to Alexi's theme)
Custom Spider Solitaire decks
Pieces of art to use elsewhere (done by Bidelle, of course)

Every piece has no set prices anymore! Due to the varying difficulty of the pieces, I will be pricing them accordingly! You post, I will price. You can try to negotiate, but I won't guarantee a price drop.

Update Policy: (If you want anything changed in the future, short of a complete overhaul)
(Debugging and technical support are free! The update is only if you feel like changing your fonts or whatnot!)

About the XP Themes

Q: These seem very technical and difficult. D:
A: To make them, they are. To apply them, they're very simple.

Q: How do you apply them?
A: I can either provide you with a .msstyle or .theme file. MSStyle files are used with the program StyleXP (recommended) and .theme files only need a uxtheme patch for Windows XP. You can get it here. I can provide either when you need them (ie: if you buy a theme. If you buy a wallpaper, cursors, or sounds - you won't need either.)

Q: If this against the TOS in some way?
A: Nope. biggrin It's custom artwork AND codework. If I were to use someone else's work and sell it, then it is. D:

Q: You made a Naruto theme, isn't that against the TOS?
A: I didn't sell the wallpaper. He provided it and I made a theme around it, containing all original art.

Q: Can you make me a wallpaper with Goku from DBZ/ Son Goku from Saiyuki/ Shuichi from Gravi/ Inuyasha/ Souichiro-sama from Tenjo Tenge/ Ashitaka from Mononoke Hime - etc?
A: I can draw a fanart for you, but it'll cost you if you don't want just a silouhette. I will not sell anything that was not my own art.

Q: If I provide a wallpaper with copyrighted characters, will you theme around it?
A: Its your wallpaper and I didn't sell it to you, so yes. I will. It won't have the characters in the theme, though. Just similar colors or shapes.

Q: What about Gaia and my avatar?
A: I wont use the actual pixels, but I can draw your avatar for a wallpaper or the theme. biggrin

Q: What about the sounds?
A: D: I won't sell copyrighted songs. I will splice songs for you if you provide me the songs. I will not charge for this, though. It's copyright law. If you want custom sounds, find Thalassan on Gaia. biggrin

Q: What about Mac/Linux users?
A: D: Sorry, I guess. I can't do much on a Mac because I don't have one to test on. For Linux, I don't think anyone uses Linspire for its looks. D:

Other Questions

Q: What is with your WinAmp?
A: I usually use Enkera for the skin, if not that, I use Triton or Invicta. Google em and see what I mean.
I change the colors whenever I change themes.

Q: What about your musical selection?
A: I'm into everything. Mostly anything you can dance to, but I stick to techno or progrock when I can.

Q: What about the number 8?
A: My birthday is 8-8-86, so 8 is my lucky number. biggrin

Q: Will you donate to my quest?
A: Short answer is no. I'm questing for a black bow tie for Zer, and it would be counterproductive to do so. Plus, I never donate to those I do not know, or those who ask for donations.

Q: Will you join my joint art auction?
A: As long as I get some profit from it and the other artists are around my level, yes I will. PM me.

Q: Do you take commissions?
A: Kind of. See my DeviantArt journal for details.
