Plot Summary:
Twelve-year old Aoyagi Ritsuka lost his only kin when his brother, Aoyagi Seimei, was killed under mysterious circumstances. His death made Ritsuka's "real" personality hide away from the real world, and now lives the present Ritsuka. One day, he meets Agatsuma Soubi, who claims to know his brother. It turns out that Soubi and Seimei used to be a fighting pair, whereby Soubi was the "Fighting Machine" (Sentouki) and Seimei was the "Sacrifice". Now that Seimei is gone, Soubi 'belongs' to Ritsuka who will become his new "Sacrifice". Ritsuka learned that Seimei was killed by an organization known as the "Seventh Moon". However, Soubi is not willing to tell the truth to Ritsuka, for Seimei had "ordered" Soubi not to tell anyone about his death, to go to Ritsuka, and like him. Ritsuka decides to join forces with Soubi and investigate the truth behind his brother's death, by fighting his way out.

Tsuralai

The Obsession scanlation group scanlated volumes 1 and 2, but I can't find the scans. And anyways I heard that they were really bad, because they had been translated from Chinese so all of the names were screwed up. >o<

Now there is a new group scanlating them, and in the memories of this LOVELESS livejournal you can find links to the scanlations of volume 3. The entry is friends-only locked, though. =P

Aoyagi Ritsuka is one troubled 6th grader. Two years ago, he mysteriously lost his memory and developed an alternate personality. Suddenly, Seimei's apparent "friend," Soubi, appears. Soubi tells him that Ritsuka's true name is "Loveless," and that Soubi was assigned by Seimei to take care of Ritsuka and protect him. Ritsuka soon gets sucked into a bizzare underground society where teams of people, a "Fighter Unit," and a "Sacrifice," battle using elaborate and beautifully-phrased spells.

He seeks both acceptance of himself, and the answer to the mystery of who killed his brother and why.

Yun Kouga
Kouga-sensei is the fan-favorite artist of several hit manga series, including Earthian. Many of her stories have been turned into animated specials, or full-length television series.

Character Info:
Ritsuka Aoyagi
A loner by nature, but apparently only since a second personality of his emerged two years ago. The one person he was close to was his older brother Seimei, who revealed a secret name to him, "Beloved," a mere month before he was mysteriously killed. Ritsuka is cold, and sometimes even cruel towards others, but melts quickly when faced with genuine affection and friendship.

Seimei Aoyagi
Ritsuka's late brother. While he was always kind to Ritsuka, the full extent of his relationship with Soubi is unclear.

Soubi Agatsuma
Previously Seimei's "Fighting Unit," he was ordered by Seimei to get close to Ritsuka and protect him, should Seimei ever be killed. At first, he only acts under his deceased master's orders, but the two become increasingly close as the story progresses, and their relationship becomes more and more complicated.

Yuiko Hawatari
A cute, busty, but somewhat slow girl at Ritsuka's new school. Somewhat of an outcast herself, she quickly tries to become friends with the mysterious, cranky newcomer.

Yayoi
A fervent admirer of Yuiko's, Yayoi is at first jealous and angry at her fast friendship with Ritsuka, but he soon becomes friends with them as well.
