January 16, 2006- Happy Belated New Year and other holidays I missed. January 12th I lost my beloved baby girl (yes, she was a gerbil, but a daughter to me) and fell smack down into a harsh depression. I got 2 new babies to help me cope, but it's still a little hard.
The Harry Potter eggs will be auctioned off on Thursday (January 19th) at a time stated in the "Sales" post. Babies should be growing up, some female adults may grow up as well. I SHOULD have the male line art by the weekend. Woot!

December 1, 2005- Closed down the Secret Santa thread due to lack of interest and colorist is too busy catching up to create new Mysthra.

November 24, 2005- FINALLY finished the Halloween event and am getting back to work to regain that which I lost when the virus hit my computer! Expect growings soon!

August 20, 2005- Thank you Kasey for making Mysthra items! <3 In return, a new egg has joined the pack!

August 17, 2005- I caved in and created the baby template. Massive growings will occur.

August 10, 2005- New Elemental and Familiar certs! Familiars owners list posted!

August 9, 2005- Bobs & Bobettes introduced!

July 26, 2005- New thread created in hopes of a perminant residense. Eleven eggs given out to be reborn. Awaiting line art from artist; should come in around August.

Mysthra were the first pet I ever made on Gaia almost three years ago. They have closed and re-opened multiple times due to interest/personal issues. This time they are here to stay.

When Mysthra are born, their designs don't form until they mature some. They are also born with the basic wing structure, and that is when you can tell whether they are lawful or chaotic. When the metal is gold, they are lawful; when the metal is silver, they are chaotic.

All Mysthra communicate almost like parrots, they mimic the sounds of their owners and form words and begin to understand them. This takes time, but start as soon as they become juveniles.

When a Mysthra egg is almost ready to start hatching, it will release a scent that Mysthra adults can smell. So, by having an Alpha sniff it's or anyone's egg, it can tell how soon it is to hatching.

When they are first born they're not capable of being sick, because their bodies are still developing. Unlike a human baby which would be more PRONE to getting sick at this stage, Mysthra kits have VERY strong anti-bodies in the first stage of life to combat against illness so they may develop properly.

Mysthra are neither canine nor feline, more a mix of both. Fully grown, they are the size of wolves with a wingspan of over 8ft long. Mysthra work in a pack, which means there is an Alpha pair. Respect is demanded from the Alpha pair and any pack member who disturbs the chain of command may become exiled from the pack.

There are different types of Mysthra, and each type has a certain height in the pack. More information on the Mysthra types will be posted later.

NEW RULE

Mysthra are RP required!

Yes, San, we know this by now, but we don't care!

Well, then! Here's the new shpeel! Once you get your egg, it will be required that you drop in (not RP, just drop by) every other day. Just a simple, "Hey, I'm here with my egg!". I realize eggs cannot be RPed, so, just bouncing in is all good. If you do this for a week STRAIGHT your Mysthra will hatch. If you do nothing within a month, I have the right to GIVE AWAY your egg (since I already made the profit from you getting it, it's not fair for me to resell it).

Sounds doable... Go on...

Okay, so you got your baby, congradulations!

Shuddup... ANYWAY! Your baby will begin the RP requirements (a reminder, this is 1 paragraph a week of RP). If once the baby is hatched and you do not RP within a month; I, again, have every right to give your Mysthra away.

Erm... Every week? What if I'm away?

GOOD NEWS EVERYONE! If you're going away, you can have someone else RP your Mysthra while you're away! Just send the Mysthra mule a PM stating you are going away and whom will be playing what Mysthra. If you have multiple Mysthra; you can assign them all to that one person.

What if that person doesn't come in...?

XD Then you can thank them for you loosing your Mysthra! w00t!

If you are here and RP your Mysthra frequently, I will grow them to teen within a month and a half of hatching. And you repeat the teen process with adults. X3 But at any point you do NOT RP your Mysthra for a period of time, there will be no warnings and your Mysthra WILL be given away (to someone who will hopefully RP).

Well, then, if you don't like my rules; you are free to give away your Mysthra to someone who CAN comply. ^_^ Thank you and have a nice day!

Common Sense Rules:

2. Do not complain/whine/cry if you cannot get one.
3. There is absolutely NO refunding. If you cannot take care of your Mysthra and do the minimum RP requirements, I'm sorry you should have read the rules before you bought it.
4. Please be nice to others. Nice people get nice things.
5. Read the information posts before you ask if their is one availible or if there is a sale planned.
6. Do not PM me questions. Either post them here or check the FAQ; the answer might be there.

Rules of Ownership:
1. You must come in once a week (one paragraph RP a week.) That is the MAXIMUM distance between posts.
2. Do not GodMod.
3. If your Mysthra is a specific type (elemental for example), please only use the certain trait given (example: Nyhl= ice).
4. You can only buy a familiar if you have a Mysthra.

These cute little critters are the new Bobs (guardians) of the Mysthra. Yes, they look COMPLETELY different from their original design. Now there are even Bobettes! This means even your Familiars can breed and make babies. Most Bobs and Bobettes come wtih their own colors; though there are items you can buy in the future that can preditermine the colors they have. They do not have any other stages; they just kind of pop out of nowhere as an adult.

Mysthra mate for life, so choose your mates wisely. Mysthra can only mate with the opposite gender; so, if you have a homosexual Mysthra, they cannot breed. The only exception is Phantom and Buncle. There will be NO other exceptions! If there are slots open, you can pick which colorist you want to do your breeding. Each Mysthra produces 2-4 eggs; no more, no less. The number is chosen randomly. Your Mysthra may produce eggs 3 times; and ONLY 3 times.

Stage 1: Nesting stage- Both Mysthra will spend up to 3 days in the nesting stalls preparing their nest.
Stage 2: Pregnant stage- The female Mysthra, once satisfied with her nest, will mate and will become pregnant. Gestation is around a week long.
Stage 3: Birthing stage- This is a day given to the female to actually lay her eggs and spend time with them as they are first birthed.
