The Aurden are guardians of the Gates. Well, the Gates... Um. Casual explanation for now, because I don't have time. Sorry, it'll be better written when I've got more than five minutes to write it.

Gates are the portals between dimensions and worlds. Gaia is one world. Neopia is another. Reality is another. A good example is... Some breedables/shops are set in different worlds, or have pets that come from different worlds.

Aurden basically try to keep the dimensions in relative order, so the worldly balance is kept... balanced. And so dimensions don't go crashing into each other, which is a bad thing in general.

Any other breedable can be involved with the Aurden, since the Aurden are gatekeepers and are able to have a collision of worlds, i.e. a crossover of shops, with a massive RP event. The joy of plot devices~

Will be re-written/elaborated more on sometime.

Aurden are summoned by their corresponding staves from their own dimension into ours. We are not sure where Aurden originate from as of now, but we do know that they remain bonded and forever loyal to their summoner after being called upon from their world. After being summoned, the Aurden are allowed to spend more time with their summoner(s) taking care of them, rather than keeping the gates they help protect in balance.

A newborn Aurden appears once summoned, though it takes a while for them to arrive here, as they come from another dimension completely parallel to us, theoretically. Once here, newborn Aurden cannot do much, as their eyes stay mostly closed at this stage. This is a time when guardians must pay close attention to their Aurden, as they are blind in this state and tend to be helpless.

Newborn Aurden eventually grow up into healthy, youthful children. Their wings have almost developed fully, though they cannot fly yet; they may only hover for a few minutes, but then their wings tire out quickly. Unlike other species' children, Aurden children are well-mannered and calm.

Aurden adults are now fully capable of flight, and are strong as well. They are built to move pretty quickly, as one needs to be quick in order to move through the gates, protecting them. Many believe this is the last stage of growth the Aurden go through, but could they age more...?

Flatsale Rules:
1) Co-owning is allowed as along as you don't mind your name being shortened on the cert if it is too long
2) One claim per post
3) Be specific! (use the numbers NEXT to the staff; to the right of the staff you are claiming)
4) NO EDITING!
5) You may get one for your friend, and if a staff you want is still available, you may claim one for yourself as well in a SEPARATE post.
6) No whining
7) The flatsale can start any time around the specified time within 3 minutes; If the flatsale time is 1:00pm, it can start at either 12:57pm or 1:03pm, so people will hopefully be less liable to set off false alarms.
8) You must pay full within 24 hours and after the rightful winners are announced.
9) Silence period 5 minutes prior to flatsale will be announced; during this time, PLEASE DO NOT POST UNTIL THE FLATSALE IS ON.
10) Golden Rule: WAIT FOR THE "GO!" POST FROM AURDEN!!

When two Aurden share a special relationship with each other, they usually give birth to offspring at some point in their lives. As Aurden are naturally loyal, they only have one mate in their life, though they can breed as many times as they want. Most likely, offspring Aurden look like their parents; though on rare occasions, there may be an "oddball" in a litter.

Aurden litters range from 2-6 newborn babies. It costs 6k to breed two Aurden (3,000g from each owner), as birth procedures are time consuming and newly-born Aurden are very fragile, so they need a highly experienced Aurden official to be present at birth. Now, these officials are not always available, which is why they only help Aurden who are totally in love with each other give birth (two Aurden owners who RP a lot) or if one of their openings for Aurden breeding is free.

If you wish to request for a breeding slot that is open, one owner must PM this account with "Breeding" in the title including the names of the two Aurden in love and their respective owners, and then a trade with the breeding fee must be sent. You may not request for a breeding slot if they are all taken or closed.

When requesting a breeding spot, make sure that:
- both Aurden are at their adult stage or older
- both Aurden are of the opposite gender
- both Aurden are not related to each other
- both Aurden are in the same generation
- you have approval of said breeding from the other Aurden owner

If an Aurden is wearing special one-of-a-kind items or is a cosplay, please note that clothes or accessories do not transfer onto Aurden litters. Items don't breed, and items aren't part of an Aurden; simple as that. Only the natural features of the bred Aurden are replicated in their litters.

How can I get an Aurden?
Sometimes, summoning staves (singular: staff) and/or Aurden are available in the "availability" post; if for some reason you cannot attain one by those means, go look for a custom spot or trade pets with us! You can offer us bribes as well. We strive to be a newbie-friendly shop, so hopefully getting an Aurden won't be so hard to do.

Who is on the staff?
Secret! The name of the lineartist is given, but she isn't the main manager/owner of this shop, so don't bother her, please!.. and if you know anyone on the staff, please don't give it away or tell anyone.

How much are Aurden?
3k (3,000 gold) in a normal flatsale; if you'd like to bribe us for an Aurden, look in the "customs" post or PM us an offer around the custom prices.

Are they rp-required?
Nope, there are no requirements at all! (Except if you have a staff and the Aurden arrives from its summoning - you must name it in the thread; otherwise, it can't grow if it's not named, and if naming it takes a long time to do, its growth rate will hinder) Though you may have your Aurden taken away if you have one and get onto the dishonored list. Also, owners who RP with their Aurden a lot may get special privileges.

Do we direct-link?
You may direct-link until it reaches its adult stage, then we would like it if you'd save it onto your own server to save our bandwidth. I don't know why you would want to direct-link the staff stage though, as its URL changes when an Aurden arrives from its staff summon and you name it.

Can I get a re-certed version of a previous stage because I forgot to check up on its growth?
Sorry, but no, chances are we don't have the file of a previous stage either. Also, growings and summonings are posted on the topic of the thread and are easy to find and are deleted quite a while after, and you shouldn't need people telling you when your own pet grew up. You will have to buy a potion for reverse growth to see its previous stage again.

Can I get a full size version of my Aurden?
.. um, we post larger sized uncerted images whenever growth occurs, so either you weren't paying attention when it grew, or you didn't check back to this thread when it grew (meaning, we already gave it to you in an announcement on the thread). Growings/summons are posted in the title of the thread and left alone until we know you've seen its full sized image, or until it's been left in the title for long enough (several days) for you to have seen it. So, sorry, but no, because it is not our fault that you do not return to this thread to look for uncerted images you may have needed.
