Welcome to Unicorns of Tartaris. Just recently has this world been explored in even the slightest way. What documents have been recovered tell of an ancient race of mythical creatures. There was also a few ancient amulets also recovered..some very strange magical amulets. When you look into the amulet, there is a moving creature in the shadows of it..and now that I look hard, the creature seems to be of....a unicorn?

January 26 Searching for new colorists, hopefully will reopen.
October 12 Updated Outlines section. 2 more customs done. Also, got some growths done. Rest will grow on Sunday or late Saturday.
September 26 2 customs have been done, working on all the stages for the wolves, before I will post information on them and previews of their stages. Growths will happen....wednesday....
September 17 I decided to turn the shop purple....also, the next three days I'm going to be moving into another house, and I might not get on to check things out. So behave everyone! I have some really nice unicorns that are just gaining dust because I don't know what to do with them.....They'll come about later on, also some other little things are being worked on. 3nodding
September 15 I decided because all of you were doing so well with role playing that I'd actually give you some unicorns to role play with! hehe, have fun with your new foals everyone!

Amid the crumbling, long forgotten ruins nestled deep within the mountains, there lay a secret, as yet uncovered.

A long hike into the mountains led to the surprising discovery of the ruin of an ancient city. This delightful discovery led to many long and weary explorations. Dangerously unstable buildings, piles of rubble that once were great walls. And deep within the once great city, backed against the mountain itself, rose one building still mostly intact. The roof had fallen in, but the walls still stood. Great cracked stone steps led up to the massive yawning doorway. Within sunlight shone in patches, while flowering vines climbed the walls and birds nested in the time-blurred statues.

A great long hall stretched back from the entrance, leading into a room built within the rock of the mountain itself. A thick crack in the ceiling let in a shaft of dusty sunlight, which shone directly upon a large stone block. It had once been intricately carved with symbols and pictures, most now worn away from time and weather. A faint image of what could have been a horse was just visible on the front, among many other now unidentifiable shapes.

But most astonishing of all was that something bright and glittering shone upon the top of what must have been an altar. An altar to some long forgotten god, perhaps? Regardless, something here is different... it did not match with the tired and worn feel of the place. There, glowing in the sunlight, was an amulet. Upon peering at it, a faint image was present. An image of... some sort of equine. Another tip into the sunlight, and more detail is seen. It was an equine, but not a horse. It was a unicorn!

It wasn't until days later that the true gift of the amulet was revealed. Safely back in the valley, the amulet disappeared suddenly, to be replaced with a blinking, shaking newborn unicorn. He grew in strength and glory, and we soon discovered he was not the only one of his kind. Return trips to the ruined city and the mysterious altar revealed more gifts of the same kind. There were both colts and fillies, which waited within their amulets for the right person to come along and release them into life and vigor.

So now many trips are made to the altar, though those trips grow more dangerous with each attempt. Dark things lurk and linger, drawn perhaps by whatever benevolent power that bestows these amulets upon us. Who knows what will become of the lost city.

The lost city we call... Tartaris.

Regular Stages

Amulet: No one really knows how the first amulets came about. But from the recovered documents, it is known that within the Amulet is the essence of a new born unicorn. In time, the caretaker will learn the secret of the amulet, and when that happens, the unicorn foal is released. (This is only for FIRST generation unicorns)
Foal: Unicorn foals are completely dependant on their caretakers. They slowly gain interest in their new world, and learn the basics of survival from their caretakers.
Juvenile: Juvenile unicorns tend to rebel like human teenagers, we are guessing this is for the same reasons, mainly hormones.
Adult: After all the hard work and dedication to protecting and helping your unicorn grow, it finally pays off. As an adult, the unicorns are completely capable of caring for them selves. Though, don't be surprised if your adult unicorn decides to bring home a new foal to show you.

Special Stages

Elder: Few unicorns live to this age, it is said that they have advanced powers from that of adult unicorns.
Draft: Some unicorns do not sport the small agile frame, some grow more heavy built. It is said that draft type unicorns have evolved to withstand the harsh weather that the mountians indure.
Youth: Every now and then, a young foal is born, and it is said that they never grow unless they are told to. It is a rare event, and the foals that are affected are commonly nicknamed Cupid.

The Unicorns of Tartaris come in three known types

Terrestrial: Known by how they resemble typical horses with a single horn.
Solar: Known by their warm colored coats, and glowing hooves.
Celestial: Known by their cool colored coats, and the flowing stardust from their manes/tails.

*Unicorns may have mixed traits from any of the above three.*

Flat Sales
Flat Sales are the most common way to get unicorns at this time.

Flat Sale Rules
1. Flat Sale Unicorns will start at 5k.
2. Do not whine if you don't win, just try again next time.
3. Be kind to others and do not guilt trip anyone out of trying
4. Only one per person, per post.
5. You can get one for someone else, but make sure to let us know beforehand.
6. Payment is due ASAP after the sale. If in 24 hours the trade isn't confirmed the pet goes up for sale again.
7. These are not RP required.
8. Only 2 people may co-own flat sale pets

Auctions start at 5k for regular Unicorn. They usually last a week, although some could last longer. The minimum increase bid is 1k and the autobuy is not available at this time. Also, every bid made close to the ending time has a grace period of 30 minutes.

2. Do not cheer for just one bidder. "good luck" shouts are welcome.
3. Up to 3 people may co-own
4. Do not whine
5. Payment due ASAP after 24 hours, the pet goes back up for sale.

You can get your own custom Unicorn for 10k for an adult, 15k for all stages, and 25k for an special stages.

Potions are used to alter, or increase something about a unicorn.

Growth Potion
The Growth potion will accelerate your unicorns growth to the next stage.

The Stunt Growth Potion will keep your foal/teen from advancing to the next stage.

The Fertility Potion will cause your female unicorn to have twins.

1. You can only use each potion once per unicorn.

Growths will be shown here instead of getting lost in the thread some where.

I basically had everyone grow so just look on the owner list to see the growths.
